Creative student projects Year 7s were introduced to basic Graphic Design to create a range of colourful egg cartons for McNally Farm. This task was structured for students to take home during isolation and use any materials or programs they had available to them . There were some specifications that the labels required, so students needed to use the design process to consider the best options for their presentation. Mrs Amy Tilbrook, Visual Arts Teacher ”When I started researching for my egg carton label, I liked the idea of a red rustic barn and a chicken sitting on its eggs. I started researching how I could use these pictures in my egg carton label. I found that the barn would work well on a lush green countryside while the hen would work well as the main picture. There were many things I would’ve liked to include but there was not enough space so only the best ideas were included.” Mitchell The students in Stage 1 Child Studies have been learning about sensory development in children. As a part of their assessment the students were asked to create a toy for an infant aged between 6-12 months that stimulated two or more of their senses. The students creations are bright and colourful, included many different textures and can make lots of noises. The students have done a magnificent job!
