UofH started out University of Houston, using live public, has 4 branches throughout Texas, but cougars as the there main campus is mascot, but located just outside of switched to Downtown. Founded in 1927, the campus is costume once the now 594 acres. Even fith one passed. after its founding the first building was not opened until 1939 and later became a state institution in 1963.. The university has grown to be the 3rd largest in Texas with over 46,000 students in attendance.
