President Ruto is on a State visit to the Promised Land at the invitation of PM Netanyahu. The Kenyan Head of State observed that Kenya and Israel posses unique global attractions that can sustain robust growth in tourism. However, he noted that without free movement, tourism ia severely restricted. The President said the review of the Bilateral Air Services Agreement gives Kenya Airways and EL-AL— the flag carrier of Israel — an opportunity to elevate their operations. Saying it was time Kenya- Israel cooperation was enhanced due to the sub-par trade volumes, President Ruto disclosed that Kenya exports to Israel are worth Ksh 1.1 Billion whilst imports from Israel to Kenya stood at Ksh 7.5 Billion a year, which he contended that it was an underperformance from the side of Kenya. He admitted that Kenya has a clear potential to do much more than what it is doing now.
