Thank you to our drivers for cutting the number of reports in half! Speeding Alerts For the months of October, November, and December, we received a total of 105 speeding alerts. This means the driver was speeding by at least 7 MPH over the speed limit for a minimum of four minutes. GREAT JOB! We are slowing down!!! The number of speeding alerts are decreasing each month. Speeding endangers everyone on the road. Speeding increases the risk of accidents. In 2017, speeding accidents accounted for 26% of traffic fatalities. The driver is more likely to lose control of the vehicle when speeding. Speeding reduces the driver’s reaction time. Speeding increases the severity of an accident and likeliness of causing an injury. W-Wayne S-Shiawassee LP-Lapeer G-Genesee N-Northern L-Lansing O-Oakland M-Macomb
