Every human being needs oxygen to survive in the world. Nature is as important as this because if nature is nurtured then only life is possible on earth. During this assembly stu- dents showcased the importance of reduce the use of plastic through various programs. The speech and the song “Say No to Plastic” anthem gave the message that how im- portant is our earth and how should we save it. Students conveyed the message through an action song. All the students enthusiasti- cally participated in the assembly.

Story Writing Stories play a vital role in the growth and development of children. A story need to be represented in words necessarily. Writing helps develop your cognitive growth, organizational abilities and the power to influence others through persuasion. Students learnt the important elements of story and formed a story with the help of a story map.



The See-Think-Wonder thinking routine stresses the importance of inquiry-based thinking through close observations following a three-step process. It can be done at the beginning of a topic. students are provided with the picture of a fire fly. Then they have to reflect on the questions: What do you see? What do u think about it? What does it make you wonder? Students jot down their thinking and ideas and share their responses with the rest of the class. Using this strategy they learned about the bioluminescence and incandescent objects.

Measurement tools and skills have a variety of uses in every- day life. The ability to use measuring tools, rulers, scales, and to estimate with these tools are necessary skills that enable us to quantify the world around us. The students were given vessels of different quantities to find the relation between different capacities. They had to find out how much of given capacity such as 500ml, 250ml, 100ml and 50ml were needed to fill a vessel of 1 litre. Then they measured the amount of water using the measuring vessel and poured it into second measuring vessel to find the relation between these capaci- ties. This activity provides an introduction to the concept and applications of measurements of capacity.

PICTURE DESCRIPTION A picture description is an ideal way of practicing our vocabulary in all sorts of fields. The primary purpose of picture de- scription is to describe a person, place or thing in such a way that a picture is formed in the reader's mind. Capturing an event through descriptive writing involves paying close attention to the details by using all of your five senses. In this activity, differ- ent pictures were shown to the students. They were told to observe the pictures, think what comes to their minds and de- scribe in their own words. Students saw the pictures and shared their views with the class. It helped them in develop- ing their vocabulary, constructing sentenc- es and speaking and writing skills.

It also helps them to enhance their logical sense, to devel- op programming skills and also it is fun learning. Dune In- ternational School conducted Infotech competition for grade 3 students based on logo coding. Students were asked to design and draw a scenery by using the logo com- mands. The aim of the competition was to promote com- puter science & engineering and pave the way for school students to excel in advanced science and technolo- gy. This competition is directed to bring out the critical thinking and reasoning skills of aspiring students. The ob- jective of the competition is to serve as a platform to exhib- it the innovation and logical dexterity of budding minds of the future.
