Welcome to the Highlands County Democratic Women’s Club. We are an organization of di- verse women and men who pledge to uphold the Democrat- ic Women's Club of Florida val- ues and platform and to sup- port candidates endorsed by the D.W.C.F. and by the Florida Democratic Party. As Americans and Democrats, we all have a shared responsi- bility to our community and our country to par- ticipate in the political process. We must become informed about issues that affect us, our fami- lies, and our communities. As we look to the 2020 Presidential election, we must be laser focused on getting out the vote and electing Democrats who will prioritize the needs of middle class and working families. We invite all Democratic women and men to our monthly meeting on the 4th Saturday of each month. President

The Democratic Women’s Club of Highlands County is a band of sisters and a few brothers work- ing tirelessly to pro- mote Democratic values as the wom- en’s caucus of the Florida Democratic Party. Over the years, women such as those who partic- ipated in the Suffragette, Civil Rights and Wom- en’s March movements have played a vital role in pursuing democracy. We are inspired by the women who have led the way on issues such as voting, civil rights, equal pay and health care. We are motivated by the female advocates who are fighting to expand democracy in their own states and throughout the world. We are encouraged by the many young women preparing to carry the torch forward. Because of their unbridled determination to pur- sue civil and human rights, thousands of name- less and often faceless women that came before us have made a difference. Their example and achievements inspire women to keep moving for- ward in that pursuit daily. Women will continue to play a key role in shap- ing the course of democracy. Please join us in making a difference.
