THE NEXT GENERATION Incorprated in the Republic of Zambia and trading as Nisco Industries Limited Nisco group of companies is a wholly Zambian owned company incorporated in 1992 with a vision of establishing manufacturing plants in the fields of packaging, foot wear as well as property development and trading in various office and household furniture. At its inception , Nisco Industries Limited dominated the Zambian market with a footwear brand dubbed as eagle slippers (eagle pat-pat). It is through this brand of footwear that opened up other avenues of meeting the Zambian economic and social needs. Today, Nisco boasts of a large Zambian market via its products under its four main business units. Nisco has in the recent years provided employment to a large number of Zambian in both skilled labour and managerial positions. The company has also developed a cooperate social responsibility policy which sees the community and the vulnerable children benefit in different ways from this company policy every year Page 2

We are situated 3Km from town center on plot number 8149/A in the Industrial Area along Mwembeshi Road. This location is ideal for our operations due to the fact that it lies in great proximity to our esteemed consumers and also reach of local raw materials. eaTHE NEXT GENERATION BUSINESS UNITS | NISCO INDUSTRIES LTD The foot wear factory manufacturers rubber slippers of different designs such as the eagle pat-pat and Africanas slippers under Nisco industries. These slippers are sold both to the local Zambian market through our outlets and international customers within the Southern Sub-saharan African region having a bigger market share in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zimbabwe. Mr Hassan Karnib is the group director and also the overal CEO for Nisco group of companies. The total number of permanent employees under this unit is 250 with women also filling up different positions under this workforce. Total investment into this business unit is $4.5 million and the monthly turn over is K 1.8 million. Environmental Concern Nisco Industries fully understands the call to environmental friendliness and safety of human life both in the factory and envi- ronment. It is for this reason that man- agement at Nisco invest in equipment that is mordern and does not pollute the environment or jeopardize the health of its workers. 100% Green FriendlyTHE NEXT GENERATIONEnvironmentally Friendly BUSINESS UNITS | NEW STYLE PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT LTDStructures Mr Mohamad Karnib who is the chairman and is in charge of the New Style Property Development unit . This unit is has a mandate of developing villas in different parts of the country in a view of adding infra structure development meant to ease the huge and growing demand for accommodation in Lusaka and other parts of the country. The villas been constructed in the first phase of the project have an initial estimated investment of $5.5 million dollars. Mohamad Karnib is overseeing this project with the help of the other directors and the board. New Style Property Development limited, just like other units under Nisco Group, is employing the local workforce including women to fill up different positions of the firm. In the near future, New Style Property Development intends to venture into Property management. Page 8



THE NEXT GENERATION BUSINESS UNITS | BLESS BROTHERS LTD Under the trading group, Bless Brothers is the main business units that handle all the distribution and importing logistics for office and household furniture. Under this unit there are 9 outlets spread around the city centre and Kamwala trading area, selling assorted home and office electronic appliances as well as office and household furniture . Mr Yasser Karnib is the groups director overseing all the operations and this group employs over 200 employees and has a leet of about 35 Trucks which handles all the transportation and distribution . The turn over per month under this unit is k1.6 million. Quality Standards Bless Brothers has placed quality as the first priority in all its office and house hold furniture, electronic appliances and equipment and it is why it deals with world class manufacturers such as Sony, Samsung among others. THE NEXT GENERATION BUSINESS UNITS | BEST PACK LTD The packaging unit has a factory which produces different types of paper packaging and employees a total of 150 men and women employees. It headed by Tarek Karnib as the group director. The carton packaging handles a number of international companies like Parmalat, Debonairs pizza ,Heinrich and Zambeef. Best Pack handles packaging for local manufactures such as Trade Kings’ Super Maheu brand, Finta, Amanita Cooking oil, Ambuya Cooking oil among many others. The factory has a capacity of producing cartons 1000 on a daily basis. The Foil Paper Packaging acts as an injector industry to other manufacturing industries. The factory produces foil paper which is used for food stuff packaging among other uses. Best Pack has a total investment value of $7.0 million and a monthly turn over of K 1.5 million Kwacha. Environmental Concern Best Pack limited comprehends the current environmental concerns on global warming and environmental friendliness. Therefore, it has engaged techniques in its operations of using better methods of producing products in both sections of the factory by using equipment that is recommended for human life and the atmosphere. In a bid to promoting environmental awareness, Best Pack has joined the rest of the country in “ going green” through the promotion of Recycling, Reusing and Reducing as well as encouraging the tree planting nation-wide campaign. THE NEXT GENERATION BUSINESS UNITS | AL BARAKAH Al Barakah Industries is another unit under the Nisco Group of Industries and is into the manufacture of a special type of footwear . Al Barakah manufactures polythene plastics, Air Tech and Eva branded sandals. It employees a total of about 50 employees and also headed by Hassan Karnib as the group director. The initial investment is $X and has a monthly turnover of K X. Environmental Concern Similarly to Nisco Industries and Best Pack Limited, Al Barakah also follows the stipulated Nisco Group of Companies Environmental policy. In this view, all products are produced from recycled material under this division. Page 13
