WPaerltcyomfoertLoAt! he The 2019 Blue Diamond Gala reflects the beauty and diversity of Los Angeles. As we celebrate the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) and its monumental impact in neighborhoods across the city, we’re humbled by the tremendous support from partners far and wide. Through comprehensive programming that includes Sports + Recreation, Education + Literacy, and Health + Wellness, we are now serving more than 10,000 youth in our sixth consecutive season of Dodgers RBI and more than 300,000 youth now have access to our 50 Dodgers Dreamfields. We won’t stop there. We’ve geared up to build 25 more Dreamfields. Los Angeles is a gem and the backdrop of LADF’s story. And while this great city is full of culture and serves as the pathway to big dreams, there is an extraordinary resource gap that keeps populations marginalized and living in the shadows. LADF is part of the solution. In 2018, we raised nearly $9 million to fund direct youth programs and grantmaking thanks to the support of corporate sponsors, foundations, Dodger fans, and allies like you. Access and opportunity should belong to everyone and not just those with means. Through baseball, we can pave the way for children to reach their full potential and show the world that equity makes us stronger. We are so proud to honor Billie Jean King and Ilana Kloss, trailblazers and relentless advocates for change. Tonight’s featured performer, the magnificent Bruno Mars, is an 11-time GRAMMY Award winner who moved from Hawaii to Los Angeles in pursuit of a dream. His journey reflects the importance of teaching youth that anything is possible. Our work has power. The kids we are serving have astounding potential and they will inspire the world if we only give them the chance. What an incredible night ahead! Nicholas Sandler Nichol Whiteman President Chief Executive Officer

An award-winning leader in sports-based youth development, LADF harnesses the power of the Dodger brand, and a passionate fan base, to significantly impact underserved youth in some of the most challenged neighborhoods of Los Angeles. With a focus on Sports + Recreation, Education + Literacy, and Health + Wellness, LADF administers direct programs serving youth and communities at large and provides grants to local nonprofit organizations. With a bigger than baseball mentality, LADF is focused on finding innovative ways to create opportunities for children through programs that engage with kids in sports, helps kids stay active and promote academic success. With the support of partners, stakeholders and fans, LADF produces incredible results on fields, in classrooms and at recreation centers, creating Major League Communities.
