Jeanne d’Arc Connaissez – vous Jeanne d’Arc ? C’est une grande héroïne de l’Histoire de France. Cette jeune fille de seize ans, habite avec ses parents très vieux dans le village de Dom Rémy en Lorraine. Son Père est fermier et il a des moutons. Jeanne aide sa mère et elle garde aussi des moutons. Un jour elle est dans le champ avec des moutons. Elle entend une voix mystérieuse. La voix dit << Jeanne, Jeanne, allez sauver la France des ennemis>>. Elle a peur. Elle entend la mémé voix tous les jours. En 1428, elle demanda à être emmenée auprès de Charles, témoignant plus tard qu'elle avait été guidée par les visions de l'archange Michel, Sainte Marguerite et Sainte Catherine pour l'aider à sauver la France de la domination anglaise. Elle se rend donc chez le roi Charles VII. Elle demande au roi une armée. Le roi donne une armée et met Jeanne en tête. Il dirige l'armée contre l'ennemi. Elle remporte une importante victoire à Orléans. Puis elle remporte de nombreuses victoires et enfin Charles devient le roi de France.

Jeanne est heureuse mais le roi Charles s'amuse et n'est pas en guerre. Bientôt l'ennemi attaque, arrête et fait prisonnière Jeanne à Rouen. Elle a été jugée par Mgr Pierre Cauchon pour des accusations d'hérésie, notamment de blasphème en portant des vêtements d'homme, en agissant sur des visions démoniaques et en refusant de soumettre ses paroles et ses actes au jugement de l'église. Il déclare que Jeanne est une sorcière et brûlée sur le bûcher le 30 mai 1431, âgée d'environ dix-neuf ans. En 1456, un tribunal inquisitoire a réexaminé le procès de Jeanne et a annulé le verdict, déclarant qu'il était entaché de tromperie et d'erreurs de procédure. Joan a été vénérée comme une martyre et considérée comme une fille obéissante de l'Église catholique romaine, une féministe précoce et un symbole de liberté et d'indépendance. Après la Révolution française, elle est devenue un symbole national de la France. En 1920, Jeanne d'Arc a été canonisée par l'Église catholique romaine et, deux ans plus tard, a été déclarée l'une des saintes patronnes de la France.
