INDIVIDUAL THERAPY SESSIONSOccupational Therapy: Our team of licensed occupational therapists (OT) and certifiedoccupational therapy assistants (COTA) are experts in addressing underlying social-emotional,physical, sensory, developmental, and behavioral challenges that may be impacting a child’soccupational engagement.Speech Therapy: Our team of licensed speech and language pathologists (SLP) can help with anyconcerns related to your child's communication. Therapy may include supporting languagedevelopment through alternative communication systems, development of grammar and vocabulary,problem solving and critical thinking, understanding social cues, and practicing speech sounds.Physical Therapy: Our team of licensed physical therapists (PT) and physical therapy assistants(PTA) specialize in supporting your child’s gross motor development and addressing underlyingstrength, range of motion, ambulation, balance, and coordination difficulties. Functional goals aredeveloped that support your child’s ability to effectively move through their environment and fullyparticipate in age-appropriate activities.Feeding Therapy: Communication Innovations uses a whole-child perspective, integrating sensory,motor, oral-motor, behavioral/learning, medical, and nutritional factors for both assessment andintervention to evaluate and manage children with feeding/growth problems. It is a fun and relaxedapproach that encourages play, allowing children to explore their food and become excited to trynew foods! It also incorporates family education to support the development of healthy relationshipswith food and each other.Daily Living Skills: This program is designed to promote independence for your child and improvetheir quality of everyday life. Services are offered for children and young adults of all ages and arepersonalized according to the client’s unique skill set and functional areas of improvement. Targetareas may include academic support, self-advocacy, social engagement, organization, communityawareness, and functional life activities. ADVANCE PROGRAMAdvance: An intensive physical and occupational therapy program designed to improve functionalstrength and independence through gross and fine motor gains in a play-based setting. CI’sAdvance program is individually designed to support the specific needs of each participant.Target Areas May Include: • Functional Strengthening • Functional Ambulation • Partial Body Weight Gait Training • Neuromuscular Re-Education • Home Environment Assessment • Assessment for Adaptive Equipment, Communication Devices and Functional Positioning • Home Safety and Transfer TrainingComponents of CI’s Advance ProgramOur Advance Program is 3-4 weeks in duration, 5 days per week, 3-4 hours per day. Uponconclusion of the program, each participant receives a comprehensive home program with parenttraining to support the successful implementation of strategies and exercises in order to facilitatecarry-over into the home and community environments.Candidates for CI’s Advance Program Include: • Individuals approaching a developmental milestone • Individuals undergoing rehabilitation from a surgical procedure or intervention • Individuals ready for a boost in functional skills to improve performance in the home and community 2

SOCIAL GROUPSBlast off with friends! Each week your child will navigate through the social galaxy. They willlearn how to make friends, be a friend, and maintain friendships through imaginative, fun,and play-based group activities. All social groups are designed and led by a speech andlanguage pathologist. These social groups are based on the Social Thinking Curriculum®.Get ready to develop friendships that are out of this world!Space Explorers (ages 4-5): Launch into the social stratosphere! This group is for younger kids who arejust beginning to understand social cues and appropriate social language and behaviors. Kids in thisgroup should be able to participate in group activities when given adult support.TIME: Fitchburg Clinic: Wednesday, 5:00-6:00pm Middleton Clinic: Monday, 3:00-4:00pmLittle Dippers (ages 6-7): Come play with us and connect the dots of your social sky! This group isdesigned for kids who are starting to understand and learn basic social language skills. Kids in this groupshould be able to participate in and follow group activities with independence.TIME: Sun Prairie Clinic: Wednesday, 3:00-4:00pmCosmic Comets (ages 7-10): Take flight with your friends into the Milky Way! This group is for kids whocan participate in group activities with peers but may have difficulty understanding social behavior, socialexpectations, conversational skills, and social problem solving.TIME: Fitchburg Clinic: Wednesday, 3:00-4:00pm Fitchburg Clinic: Thursday, 5:00-6:00pm Verona Clinic: Tuesday 10:00-11:00am Sun Prairie Clinic: Tuesday, 4:00-5:00pmShooting Stars (ages 10-13): Friendships don’t have to be light years away! This group is for youngteens who can participate in group activities with their peers but may have difficulty with conversationalskills, interpreting social cues, and social problem solving.TIME: Fitchburg Clinic: Thursday, 3:00-4:00pm Sun Prairie Clinic: Thursday, 4:00-5:00pSupernovas (ages 12-15): Form stellar friendships! This group is designed for younger teens who wouldbenefit from support in order to successfully interact with their peers outside of the clinic setting. Thisgroup will help refine more complex social behaviors such as interpersonal negotiation and interpretingnon-verbal social cues. This group meets twice per week, one time in the clinic, and one time in thecommunity. Participants must sign up for both weekly sessions. Attendance on Monday is required toparticipate in the community outing on Wednesday.TIME: Fitchburg Clinic: Monday, 4:30-6:00pm Wednesday, 4:30-6:00pm *must attend both sessions 3

These groups are facilitated by a member of the speech,physical, or occupational therapy teams.Pre-K Fun Camp: Looking to get your toddler ready for Pre-K? Start them off on the right foot withCI’s spin on summer camp! Exploring the fun of day camp by tackling pre-academic skills likereading, arts and crafts, music and playing with peers. For kids going in to 4K.TIME: Verona Clinic: Monday and Wednesday, 8:00-10:00amKindergarten Kids Camp: Anxious to start kindergarten? Don’t be! Get ready for the classroom bybuilding up academic and social skills. This group will prepare your child through play and learningin a “CI Style” day camp setting. For kids who have completed 4K.TIME: Verona Clinic: Monday and Wednesday, 8:00-10:00amFuture Badger Sports Group: Join us as we dribble, pass, shoot, and spike through the sports world!Children of all abilities are encouraged to join the team as we tackle gross motor skills. Lace up yoursneakers and get ready for an action-packed group! We willtake the stories off the page and into real-life with lively, interactive activities. Your child’s literacyand handwriting skills will pop off the page! For ages 9-14.TIME: Verona Clinic: Wednesday, 10:00-11:00amRegulation Group: This group is designed to help children learn self-regulation skills in order toaddress challenges with frustration tolerance, anger management and social engagement. Parentsare encouraged to attend using our one-way mirror and participate in a training program toencourage carry-over across environments. Additional fee of $50 per semester to cover the cost offood. Ages 5-8.TIME: Fitchburg Clinic: Tuesday, 2:00-3:00pmMinecraft Food Science: This innovative group incorporates the popular game of Minecraft alongwith nutrition, sensory regulation strategies, and the five senses as a motivating way to encouragetrying new foods! recreational groupsRecreational Groups focus on play skills and recreation in a social setting which includesworking as a team and trying new hobbies. These groups will be facilitated by our RecreationTeam and focus on fun.Nature Unplugged: A group for enthusiastic kids who love to use their hands and move theirbodies…outside! No phones, video games or televisions here – just trees, birds, trails andcompanionship. Kids will benefit from the multi-sensory experience of time outside as well as themotor and executive functioning skills embedded in fun outdoor activities such as exploring woods,building forts, creating artwork with natural materials and a variety of other fun activities. Each weekwe will meet at a location within a few miles of the Fitchburg clinic and explore. All ages welcome!TIME: Fitchburg Clinic: Thursday, 8:00-9:30amBoard Gamers: This dice-rolling and card-flipping group is designed for teens interested inexploring the world of board games. From Scrabble to Settlers of Catan, come strategize and enjoya little friendly competition. For ages 12 and up.TIME: Verona Clinic: Monday, 3:00-4:00pmRad Scientists: Explore your inner scientist! A group that helps young scientists grow their curiosityabout the world around them and learn about “how stuff works.” Group members will work togetheras a team to do fun, kid-friendly science experiments. For ages 6-10.TIME: Verona Clinic: Wednesday, 1:00-2:00pm Sun Prairie Clinic: Tuesday, 1:00-2:00pmNinja Novice: Does your child love watching American Ninja Warrior? If so, then join us in thisbeginner ninja training course! We will learn some awesome rolls, crazy jumps, and sneaky stealthskills! Each week we will be climbing our way through obstacle courses to develop our own crew oflittle ninjas! For ages 3-5.TIME: Verona Clinic: Friday, 9:00-10:00amExpert Ninjas: Calling all ninjas! If your child already has some serious ninja skills and wants totake them to the next level, join us for some advanced ninja training. THRIVE: A PROGRAM TO EMPOWER YOUNG ADULTSTHRIVE, a program tailored to young adults, targets vocational readiness, independent living skills,and social awareness. THRIVE is offered through individual and group settings and may be billableto insurance.Out & About: Ready to explore our wonderful city? This group is designed for older teens who need moresupport successfully interacting with peers in new environments. This group meets twice per week, onetime at CI, and one time in the community. Students must sign up for both weekly sessions. Attendance onMonday is required to participate in the community outing on Wednesday. Ages 15-18.TIME: Verona Clinic: Monday, 3:00-5:00pm Wednesday, 3:00-5:00pm *must attend both sessionsMoving Up—Transition to Adulthood: This group is designed for older teens who are working on refiningmore complex social behaviors, such as interpersonal negotiation, interpreting subtle non-verbal cues, andbalancing their interests with the interests of their peers. This group will focus on self-advocacy andindependence. This group may include occasional community outings. DLS for youngadults would more specifically target time and money management, effective communication, andfunctional life activities such as cooking, cleaning, and organization.
