Exercise 1: Movements• Create a program in the Scratch software to allow the Wind Turbine to start rotating.• In this program, the Wind Turbine will rotate in the clockwise direction (“this way”) for 3 seconds followed by rotating in the anti- clockwise direction (“that way”) for 3 seconds. Any unauthorized reprint or use of this material is prohibited.

Exercise 2: Motor Power• Create a program that uses motor power blocks to act as a wind detector. – The Wind Turbine will rotate at its highest speed in the clockwise direction (“this way”) and slow down in its speed when rotating in the anti- clockwise direction (“that way”).• Try changing the motor power and observe. Any unauthorized reprint or use of this material is prohibited.

Exercise 3: Distance Sensor• Attach a distance sensor to the Wind Turbine.• In this program, the Wind Turbine rotating power will depend on the value detected by the distance sensor.• Place an item in-front of the distance sensor. – When the item is placed further away from the distance sensor, the Wind Turbine will rotate at a faster speed. – When the item is placed near the distance sensor, the Wind Turbine will rotate at a lower speed. Any unauthorized reprint or use of this material is prohibited.
