A country mouse lives in the countryside. He likes to eat fruits. He is happy. หนเู มอื งและหนชู นบท หนนู าตวั หนึงอาศั ยอยใู่ นชนบท มนั ชอบกนิ ผลไม้ มนั อยอู่ ยา่ งมคี วามสขุ

One day, his cousin comes from the town. The country mouse gathers many fruits for the town mouse, but the town mouse does not like fruit. วนั หนึงญาตขิ องหนนู ามาเยยี มจาก ในเมอื ง หนนู ารวบรวมผลไม้ มากมายไวใ้ ห้หนบู า้ นกนิ แตห่ นบู า้ น ไมช่ อบกนิ ผลไม้

“This food is horrible!” he says. “Come to the town with me, life in town is much more fun.” หนบู า้ นบอกวา่ อาหารพวกนีไม่ อรอ่ ยเลย เธอเข้าไปในเมอื งกบั ฉัน เถอะ ชีวติ ในเมอื งสนกุ สนานกวา่ ทนี ี มากนั ก

So, the country mouse follows his cousin to the town. They come to a big house. They enter under the back door. The town mouse leads the country mouse to a dining room. The table is covered with food. They start to eat up the food. “This food is delicious!” he says. Suddenly, there is a noise. The mice run to hide behind the food. มนั พดู วา่ อาหารพวกนีช่างอรอ่ ย เหลอื เกนิ ! ทนั ใดนันมเี สียงบางอยา่ ง ดงั แวว่ เข้ามา หนทู งั สองวงิ ไปหลบ ซ่อน

“Keep very still,” says the town mouse. The country mouse is very afraid. A cat comes into the room. He looks around the room. The cat jumps up on the table. อยหู่ ลงั กองอาหาร หนบู า้ นบอกหนู นาวา่ อยเู่ ฉย ๆ ไวน้ ะ หนนู ารูส้ ึกกลวั มาก แมวตวั หนึงเดนิ เข้ามาในห้อง อาหาร มนั หันไปมองรอบ ๆ ห้อง แมวตวั นันกระโดดขึนไปบนโตะ๊ อาหาร

“Run!” cries the town mouse. The mice run into a mouse hole. หนบู า้ นรอ้ งวา่ วงิ หนีเรว็ ! หนทู งั สอง วงิ เข้าไปในรูหนู “Good-bye, cousin” says the country mouse. “I am going back to the country. There, it is quiet and safe.” หนนู าพดู กบั หนบู า้ นวา่ ลากอ่ นน่ะ ญาตทิ รี กั ฉันกาํ ลงั จะกลบั ไปทชี นบท ทนี ันมนั ปลอดภยั และเงยี บสงบดกี วา่ ทนี ี
