KNOW “THEY-SELF” by Ranim kouki

KNOW “THEY-SELF” Report by Ranim kouki 3rd-year student Myriam Mnasri: Visionary Coach

Transforming Risk and Threats into Opportunities - Workshop, 16 MARCH, 12:00

KNOW “THEY-SELF” Being part of Myriam Mnasri’s workshop was a unique motivating experience with an underlying tone of spirituality. The audience was welcomed with a warm, inviting personality that swooped us away on an inspirational journey of self-reflection and understanding of oneself through facing your biggest fears, weaknesses and threats in order to create the best buisness one can. All of that was achieved during one hour of interactive experience sharing. Myriam shared her vision of how to evaluate your buisness through evaluating yourself. She believes that when starting a project, you should focus on three key steps: -1- Setting intentions -2- Paying attention -3- Taking action She also introduced a method that she referred to as “SWOT out of the box”. Typically, a SWOT analysis is a tool that can help you to analyze what your company does best, and to devise a successful strategy for the future through the assessment of the four pillars of SWOT: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. However, Ms. Myriam believes that you can only define these four aspects of your buisness by f irst performing a SWOT analysis on thyself. Why? Because your company is an extension and a reflection of yourself, therefore, whatever obstacles you face and how you react to them will be mirrored in how you operate your buisness. Myriam shared a very inspiring experience with us where she was paralyzed for a period of time and she thought that being crippled was the end of the world for her because it stopped her from living her dream which is sailing around the world. But being in that state of mind made her realize that she should make an opportunity from this crisis and that crisis and opportunity are two sides of the same coin. 1 © Designed by Orenda Junior Enterprise

KNOW “THEY-SELF” Her advice was that whenever you feel anger, frustration, disappointment..., FLIP THE COIN and you will find a gift waiting for you. There is always a gift. Miss Mnasri believes that everything should be done with love and compassion; that even when you are looking at your competitors you should be companionate, everyone else around us is an extension of ourselves, and we are all connected. By looking at my competitor with compassion and love I can learn, grow, and see the potential that was fogged by fears and envy. By giving, you will always be gaining something in return. Do not let your fears paralyze you; utilize and surpass them. Or as Myriam said “j’ai peur mais je le fais quand même”. 2 © Designed by Orenda Junior Enterprise
