บนใบต้นไม้ใหญ่ มฟี องไขอ่ ยู่เบอ้ื งบน คิดมาน่าฉงน เหตใุ ดอยู่เพียงใบเดียว On a big, mighty tree sits an egg on its leaf. He wonders to himself why am I here alone?

ต้นกล้าหนอนตัวน้อย แสนอร่อยใบไมเ้ ขียว แมลงปอปราดเปรียว บินอวดโอ้แล้วจากไป Tonkla the tiny worm devours his delicious leaf A dragonfly then sashayed by showing off its spunky wings.

ต้นกล้าเป็นเพยี งหนอน หรือจะร่อนบนิ สักครั้ง แต่แล้วตกพ้ืน ปัง! หนอนน้อยยังอยูบ่ นดิน Tonkla is nothing but a worm How dare he dreams of the high air? He falls to the ground, BAM! On the earth lies the fallen Tonkla.

ต้นกล้าคิดอิจฉา จะโสภาได้อยา่ งไร พลางคิดโศกเศร้าใจ อยากได้ใครมาชนี้ ํา Tonkla gets jealous how do I get glamorous He thinks while down in the dumps I want someone to guide me.

ต้นกล้าร้องคราครวญ คิดทบทวนชะตากรรม เหตใุ ดชวี าชา ชอกระกําคิดตาใจ Tonkla bawls and howls O how my fate has been fouled Of this life, I’m not proud Despondent, he ceases his hound.

ต้นกล้าแหงนหน้ามอง สองตาจ้องแดนเทวินทร์ บอกลาธรณิน มุ่งสู่ถ่ิน บนไพรวัน Tonkla looks up high two eyes spy the azure The soil, I’ll leave now to that brown, forest tree.

ต้นกล้าปา่ ยพฤกษา ยลธรา หาไหวหวนั่ กลับเก่ียวเปรียวเปลี่ยนผัน หุ้มกายนั้น พลันไสยา Tonkla climbs the trunk gazes below, no more fear He rolls and he grows covers him whole and falls adoze.

ต้นกล้าเป็นดักแด้ นิทรแน่ แม้วสั สา มารุตแมฉ้ ุดมา ดักแด้กล้า หาสั่นไหว Tonkla pupates and rests despite rain dropping on his head Unfazed by a gale breath stillness takes over his bed.

ต้นกล้าคงรอคอย มคิ ิดถอย เพียรสู้ไป จนแรงแสงรําไพ เยี่ยมเยอื นใคร่ จะออกมา Tonkla calmly awaits never cave to barricades Till the sun comes adjacent he breaks out then escalates.

ต้นกล้าลืมตาตื่น ลุกข้ึนฟ้ ืนจากนิทรา หันมองสุริยา กางปีกกล้า สู่ฟา้ ไกล Tonkla is wide awake sits up straight from a long rest The sun, he stares at wings spread vast, blasts to the blue.

นิทานเร่ืองนี้สอนให้รู้ว่า จงเห็นคุณค่าในตัวเอง และพอใจในสิ่ง ที่ตัวเองมี The moral of this fable is that Values yourself and be content with what you have.
