Covid-19 pandemic widespread in Thailand in March 2020 from cluster of Lumpinee boxing stadium. Thai government uses many measures to cease the pandemic, but it is not
effective for stopping the fear of people. In many areas of Thailand utilizes local wisdom to prevent from Covid-19 for example Lampang. This article aims to study the method of folklore utilization for creating Hoon-Payon puppets. The result found that Hoon-Payon puppets comes from the applying of local beliefs such as spiritual guardian, Payon puppet, Ta-Laew,Som-Poi, green Lalang, and Chao Pho Pra Tu Pha. The creation of Hoon-Payon reliefs an anxiety for Puppet creators from the pandemic including showing Lanna collective identities.
