Resources Interactive multi-media eContent Session Conduction Engage Ask: If you have bought any thing online, share your experience. Any idea how will you open you online shop on internet. Do you have any idea how online store is different from the suopermarkets ans shopping malls? Let the students come up with responses. Do not add anything to what they say. Concept introduction Building from their response and by adding from your side, explain the term E-Commerce and how it is different from traditional commerce. Elaborate on the interesting history of E-Commerce. Concept Demo/Explanation Discuss: If your business goes online then whom do you sell your products and services?

Introduce the 4 types of business – B2C, B2B, C2B, C2C with specific examples online. Open the websites and show them to the students. Ask: What do we call the commerce that is done using a smartphone? Further, discuss the advantages and disadvantages of E-commerce as compared to traditional commerce. Ask: Have you done or seen someone doing an online purchase? Open Amazon and ask a student to come over and buy something online. Guide the student with steps. (Do not do actual purchase, stop at the payment page.) Discuss social media and blogs in brief. Ask: How do you like to meet friends online? What are the advantages of online chat? How is WhatsApp useful in communication? Discuss these questions with the students. Explain them the disadvantages of social media and how to stay safe online. Elaborate on cyberbullying sensitizing the students about its dangers. Discuss the safety measures against cyberbullying and what must children do if someone bullies them online. Elaborate on how do they detect that someone is a cyberbully. Home Assignments Revise the topic covered.
