Fortunately enough, the Batangas State University - Rosario Campus, along with their ever-so trusty Supreme Student Council, has made it possible to further re-ignite the burning passion of their co-organization officers by giving them such a prestigious award befitting the efforts that each and every one of them has made by means of the Zuñoan Awards. FEATURE PAGE 06 Batangas State University's Vaccination Drive 2021 by Lorenz Salao As the Covid-19 ravaged our country, nearly everything came to a chaos and disarray from our daily form of living, business operations, transportation, and ultimately our school set ups. With the overwhelming surge of the pandemic’s cases, it was inevitable that changes and adaptations are to be done. In terms of our education, modular, online learning, and a mix of the two was presented as some sort of answer to our now prohibited face to face classes. But as time flew by, the cases were seemingly controlled through strict safety measures and with the introduction and mass pursuance of the vaccine to the public, our country’s fate and future is finally veering on a clearer path. As of now, both the DepEd and CHED are slowly but surely pursuing the reopening of our classes in a face-to-face manner and it should be expected that in a few or so months, the official green light to our usual way of learning will be told to the public. With this vital information on hand, the Batangas State University didn’t waste much time and joined in on the vaccination drive with the assistance of the BatStateU Health Services and with the coordination of Batangas City Health Office. Using our masks, face shields and Covid vaccine shots as our pseudo armor as we venture once more to the outside world, we may live a life closer to the one we had a few years back. With the future remaining to be uncertain and as we wait for the official continuation of the face-to-face classes, one of the few things we can do is to equip ourselves with knowledge and buff ourselves with our respective vaccines. Though such Covid-19 vaccination shots are not mandatory to anyone, we should always try to consider having one as it will definitely boost our immunity as we try to live yet another day in this pandemic-ridden year.

FACULTY'S ACHIEVEMENT PAGE 11 Loyalty and Greatness Comes Hand-in-Hand by Lorenz Salao Aspirations to mark a legacy is certainly not a walk in the park as it requires a great amount of commitment and the will to strive further despite any adversities he/she may need to overcome. This time around, a few of our very own leaders within the Red Spartan community was blessed with such a title to which we can consider as their spoils of war reaped from their long and drawn-out journey which started the moment they chose to pledge their time and effort as a professor of the Batangas State University. On the very remarkable day of March 25, 2021, came the most awaited and prestige Batangas State University’s 21st Charter Anniversary with the theme “Expanding Mandates for National Competitiveness and Sustainable Development” to which was streamed on multiple social media sites such as BatStateU’s official Facebook and Youtube account. Along the lines of the successful event came one of its highlights which was the awarding of the BatStateU Service Award which was given to those teaching and non-teaching personnel who gave it their all in terms of their faithfulness, loyalty and love given to our university. Such award was given to a total of nine (9) professors within the Batangas State University Rosario Campus which gave its students yet another thing to be proud of as well as the assurance that only the highest quality of education is being given to them by means of excellence in service. Among the said awardees had three (3) professors with 20 years of service, two (2) professors with 15 years of service and lastly, four (4) professors with 10 years of blood sweat and tears given in dedication for serving our university. We, the main beneficiaries of the efforts that our leaders within the Batangas State University be it from the teaching and non-teaching staff should be forever grateful and give them the utmost respect that they deserve. Without their guidance, knowledge and insights, we wouldn’t be what we are now.

Unfortunately, uncertainty may occur when you least expect it, which, in addition to sending a jolt of dread and a rush of worry through you, it also diminishes the shared goals that an organization practices. As we all know for a fact, the Covid-19 virus has caused a slew of unanticipated shifts and unpredictable turns that have blown our minds, particularly in terms of adopting numerous conventions that we were all accustomed to. Nonetheless, this fact has no bearing on the goals of one of the organizations at Batangas State University- Rosario Campus, the UPright Marketing Organization, which has demonstrated to everyone that as long as you put your will upon everything you do, uncertainties can be kept to a minimum and victory can be positively accomplished. I am sick of collecting trash. For collecting your trash. For collecting harsh words from you. For not making you proud. Not being enough for someone or everyone. I am done collecting trash from everyone. Now it's time for me to place this where it belongs. Now I realize how much life hurts me, How unfair it is, how sad it is to live.
