So, what can you expect? A mixture of face-to-face and 24 hour access to course learning materials digital visits every 4 - 6 weeks. Learning hours (Off-the-Job Training) Planned CPD that apprentices complete relevant to the apprenticeship; be that mandatory internal learning or learning driven by the apprenticeship content throughout the duration. It doesn’t mean losing your member of staff for a whole working day per week. Learners must be paid for their learning hours (Off-the-Job Training) i.e. this should take place within paid working hours. Does not include Functional Skills – English and Maths. If new knowledge, skills and behaviours are being taught as a part of progress reviews this can count. \"Learning hours (Off-the-Job Training) is… training which is received by the apprentice, during the apprentice’s normal working hours, for the purpose of achieving the new knowledge, skills and behaviours of the apprenticeship.\" 8
