MARCHING ARTS THE HEARTBEAT OF BAKERSFIELD The Marching Arts ensembles at Bakersfield College provide year-round opportunities you to continue your marching experience beyond high school. With a nationally recognized drumline and drum & bugle corps, in addition to a marching/pep band, there is something for everyone. Renegade Band - MUSC B40 An ensemble open to anyone interested in a collegiate athletic band experience. The band meets weekly in the fall to prepare for BC Football games and other community events. Together with the Drumline and Cheer Team, the Renegade Band is here to fight, fight, fight for BC. Go Gades! Drumline - MUSC B18A In the fall semester, the Renegade Drumline plays entertainment-oriented music and performs at BC Football games and community events. In the spring semester, the reigning Winter Guard International World Champion Indoor Drumline prepares a competitive show and competes locally in the PPAACC circuit and nationally at Winter Guard International sanctioned events. Golden Empire Drum & Bugle Corps - MUSC B28 The Golden Empire Drum & Bugle Corps is the premiere drum corps in the southern San Joaquin Valley. The corps is comprised of students furthering their education in brass, percussion, and visual performance. Students rehearse in the spring and summer as they prepare for local public performances and a summer tour. Chamber Singers MUSC B17A Chamber Singers is an elite, auditioned group of students and alumni that perform challenging repertoire across all styles and genres. Chamber Singers represent BC at football games, in the community, and on major tours nationally and abroad. Renegade Chorus MUSC B41 The Renegade Chorus is devoted to the repertory of music for tenor & bass voices of all styles and genres. THE 2022 DRUM CORPS INTERNATIONAL TOUR Les Stentors Sherbrooke, QC, Canada • stentors.org STAFF Unavailable from corps at time of printing. 2022 REPERTOIRE The French Canadian corps Les Stentors was founded in 1988 Unavailable from corps under the name La Releve at time of printing. Musicale (meaning Musical Relief), after splitting ties with another Sherbrooke, Quebec drum corps organization. The corps adopted its current name in 1993 and first competed at the DCI World Championships in 1999. In 2010, Les Stentors was recognized as the Most Improved Corps in DCI’s Open Class.
