Feliz Navidad y Prospero Año From Leonel Tun To all of our donors and supporters, May God’s peace fill your home and the Holy Spirit fill your heart with joy and happiness. Day to day, our wonderful God manifests among us, through every heart that opens to show solidarity with those who are suffering, in pain and experiencing pov- erty. Today, all of us who make up this great organization, the San Lucas Mission, feel very grateful for each one of you that have supported us economically, spiritually and morally. We are grateful that you have accompanied us in this commitment as human beings, to provide support and bring hope of life and development to San Lucas Tolimán and the surrounding communities. To all those who have visited the Mission and that have made life-changing work possible through their efforts we say - Thank you very much. FOSL/MSLT From November 14th - 16th, the Friends of San Lucas employeesJoint Retreat and Advisory Council members traveled to San Lucas to participate in the first ever retreat with San Lucas Mission program leaders. The days were filled with team building activities, presentations from the Peace Corps and Ana Vasquez of Common Hope, and reflection on the work we’ve done and what goals we have for the future. Without a doubt, our first retreat was a success and we look forward to continuing this work in the New Year!A Strong Year-End for Café Juan AnaThe Café Juan Ana team has been hard at work Purchase your fresh bag ofthis December. The team participated in the Fes-tival de Café Atitlán in Panajachel on December1st. They were one of 6 brands of coffee featured coffee or sign up for our newat the Festival. Our Café Juan Ana roaster, Carlos,competed in the Festival contest where partici- coffee subscription servicepants had to prepare their coffee using the Chemexmethod. Carlos won 1st place for Café Juan Ana! here!Not only did the team have a successful day at thefestival, but they were also added to the “Ruta Ecológica de Café” - a list of coffeeprojects for tourists to visit in Guatemala. Achieving this honor allows our teamto share the Café Juan Ana story and program with even more people! In additionto these wonderful achievements, the coffee harvest has officially begun and CaféJuan Ana started purchasing mature coffee fruit from local growers on December4th.
