A Message From Your Publishers We Are Jersey Magazine is a subsidiary company birthed out of the parent business entitled Jersey Turn’t Up Entertainment. Having achieved rising success withinonly two years of business, the owners wanted to create something thatwould expand their networking repertoire while promoting positivetalent both locally and abroad. The idea of creating We Are JerseyMagazine began when co- CEOs, Daniel Banks & Bridget Papino, werefeatured in the July 2014 issue of another magazine company. Afterdiscussion with the owner of that magazine, as well as experiencing thepositive responses that exposure generated towards their entertainmentbusiness, they decided to begin a magazine company of their own thatwould target a new type of entertainment promoting style. We AreJersey Magazine’s goal is designed to provide exposure, references andresources that will influence all those aspiring to do something positivewith the talents they possess. artist on the rise King Salomon The name “King Salomon” comes from the biblical King Solomon and the former president of Haiti Lysius Salomon. King Salomon is a hip hop artist from Roselle, NJ that is poised to make a dominant impact on the Jersey hip hop scene. His vibrant and complex lyrics creates the image of a man dealing with the hardships of the inner city mixed with the drive and passion to achieve greatness.  Salomon is currently working on his debut mixtape entitled “The Book of Salomon Chap.1” The project is set to be released this fall and feature dynamic tracks such as “Bless Up” and “Glory”. This project dives into the mind of the self-titled “king” as he survives his cut-throat neighborhood. King Salomon is here to bring the hip- hop industry back into the era of bars instead of melodies. WE ARE JERSEY hot new artist DIVERSECHARACTER Damon Jeremiah Washington also known as DiverseCharacter (DC), is an Indie Hip -Hop -Rock to diverse to classifyArtist, Songwriter, Performer and Entertainer. Born December26,1992 in Trenton, NJ, Damon’s hometown did not offer muchsupport for the performing arts. At the age of ten, his mother, tiredof Trenton’s status of being a working class poverty stricken hoodwith a rising crime rate, sacrificed and moved Damon to the suburbsof Yardley, PA. Yardley, PA is an upper middle class suburban townwith a predominate Caucasian population, and the place where hewould remain through high school. Who he would become was amatter of choice, and he chose to take the best of both unique citiesof his childhood to become his signature DC (Diverse Character). As the years progressed and new experiences and opportunitiespresented themselves, so did Diverse’s taste in music. He would latergo on to fall in love with and experiment with not only Hip-Hop butPop, Techno, R&B and Rock within his music. Whenever his dad would leave for work, he would play with his DJ equipment praying his dad didn’t find out. In college, he loved loved being in front of crowds and began to host the hottest parties in the Tri-state area. He was also inspired to be- gin his own promotional company “Neva Broke Ent”. During those four years, DJ Fastlife was booked all over NY & NJ, as well as Connecticut, South Beach, and Hollywood Florida. He has worked with “Cito on the beat” & “In the Struggle Productions”. Fastlife is getting ready to release a debut EP entitled “No Favors”, where some of the biggest artists in the industry will be featured.
