Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as a symbol of aspirations of people of India. Not only BJP has got a massive mandatein the elections but it has also become the largest political party in the world. In the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi with themantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' and 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' a party has got full majority after three decades in India.Congress has received the biggest ever jolt and it is now in opposition with 44 seats. BJP gave impetus to the ongoing campaignagainst the corruption and misrule of Congress with the election of Shri Rajnath Singh as BJP National President on 23rd January2013. In the Goa National Executive meeting Shri Narendra Modi became the Chairman of the Central Election CampaignCommittee and was declared the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate on 13 September 2013. Party started receiving massive supportfrom every quarter. Entire party dedicated itself fully for the victory in 2014 elections in the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi. ShriNarendra Modi was sworn-in as the Prime Minister of India with huge mandate and today remains engaged day and night in theservice of the nation. As the BJP led NDA government has been formed the responsibilities of every karyakarta has increased. We are today thelargest political party in the world due to the untiring efforts of BJP National President Shri Amit Shah and remain committed toserve the villages, poor, farmers, deprived, backwards and dalits through our organizational works, programmes and activities. BJPhas created a new history in the last three years and party has proved itself on the aspirations and trust of the people. Goa National Executive meeting In the Goa National Executive meeting held on 08-09June 2013 Shri Narendra Modi was declared the Chairmanof Central Election Campaign Committee and 20 centralelections sub-committees were constituted in his leadership.After discussing in detail the workplan of these committeeswere finalized. In Talegaon, Goa while addressing thekaryakarta sammelan Shri Narendra Modi gave a call for'Congress- Mukta Bharat'. Pathankot Rally Soon after this on the Balidan Divas of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee on 23 June 2013 Shri Narendra Modi addressed a huge rally in Pathankot and emphasized on the need of bringing Kashmir in the national mainstream by applying balm in accordance with the policies ofAtalji. It is to be noted that while entering Kashmir without permit Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee addressed people on the same venue on 11 May 1953 and later he was arrested on entering Kashmir and was martyered on 23 June 1953 while in confinement. 6 BJP National Executive - Gen. Shri Narendra Modi declared BJP Prime Ministerial candidate On 13 Septemebr 2013 Shri Narendra Modi was declared Prime Ministerial candidate by the party. It created an atmosphereof hope and enthusiasm in the entire country. This decision was welcomed in the entire country and party karyakrtas fully dedicatedthemselves in the elections preparations with commitment and zeal.BJP National Executive - Gen. Secy. Ex-Servicemen Rally, Rewari (Haryana) Shri Narendra Modi delivered his first speech afterbeing announced as the BJP Prime Ministerial candidatefor the 2014 Lok Sabha elections at the Ex-servicemenrally in Rewari, Haryana on September 15, 2013. “Fromthe land of Mahatma Gandhi, let us give a message of peaceto the world,” declared Shri Modi. He shared that it washis honour to be present at this historic gathering of ex-servicemen and other well-wishers, where lakhs of peoplegathered to listen to Shri Modi. 8 BJP National Executive - Gen. Huge victory of BJP in State Assembly electionsBJP handed over a crushing defeat to Congress in Rajasthan, scored hat-trick in MadhyaPradesh & Chhattisgarh and emerged as single largest party in Delhi The four States for whichresults were declared onDecember 08, 2013 the BJPswept Rajasthan andretained Madhya Pradeshand Chhattisgarh with a hat-trick victory and in Delhi itemerged as the single largestparty, marking the end of 15years of uninterruptedCongress rule in the nationalcapital. As a stunnedCongress faced a 0-4 routin this round ofAssembly elections, party president Sonia Gandhi accepted the defeat. BJPNational President Shri Rajnath Singhsaid the result was an emphatic rejection of the Congress. So far as the resounding BJP victory was concerned after a nine-month long campaign, Smt. Vasundhara Raje led BJP to alandslide victory in Rajasthan, ousting theAshok Gehlot led Congress government from power. The BJPwon 162 of the 199 seatsin the Assembly. In Madhya Pradesh, BJP led by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan outdid its performance of 2008,winning 165 of the 230 seats. Election results Election results were declared on May 16, 2014. This mandate was truly massive. The Year 2014 has been remarkable from thepoint of view of success in Elections under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi. This happened for the first time in the past 30 years,that any party had attained clear majority with 272 or more seats in the Lok Sabha Elections. In the Parliamentary elections the BJP ledNational DemocraticAlliance got 336 seats out of total 543 seats and the BJP won 282 seats. This has happened for thefirst time that only BJP MPswere elected in 6 states and 4UTs. Bharatiya Janata Party hassecured victory in 100% seatsin States like Gujarat, Delhi,Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh,Uttarakhand and Goa. 100%MPs from BJP have beenelected in UTs like Chandigarh,Andaman Nicobar Islands,Dadra Nagar Haveli andDaman-Diu. Congress, havingstrong hold in the country for along time has been voted out ofpower this time and BJP hasmanaged to expand its influencein major parts of the country.Congress has been able tosecure only 44 seats and the UPAhas in all won 58 seats only. So far as vote percentage is concerned BJP got 31% votes, whereasCongress could manage only 19.3% of votes. The main opposition party Congress has suffered a major blow in the elections. In Uttar Pradesh the Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 seats and NDA ally 'Apna Dal'won 2 seats. In total the BJP led NDA got 73 seats out of 80 seats. This is a majorachievementforBJPinUttarPradesh.Similarly,BJPwon27outof29seatsinMadhyaPradesh. BJP has also managed to secure maximum number of seats in the states ofJharkhand,BiharandChhattisgarh. This thumping victory not only indicates the Charismatic leadership andpersonality of Shri Narendra Modi but also indicates growing faith of Indian publicin the Bharatiya Janata Party and Shri Narendra Modi. This success and confidenceis growing continuously. Four large states went into elections after Lok Sabhaelections and Bharatiya Janata Party again put up an excellent performance. Forthe first time, BJP managed to come up with full majority in any Eastern state ofthe country. BJP also formed government on its own for the first time in Maharashtraand Haryana. In Jammu & Kashmir too, BJP joined the government as an importantconstituent of the alliance. For the first time, any BJP candidate has been electedfor Vidhan Parishad from Kashmir valley and also got representation from thestate in Rajya Sabha. With the slogan of \"Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas\" Bharatiya Janata Partycontested Lok Sabha election in the country. Chasing the target of Mission 272+BJP alone won 282 seats. LakshadweepThanking people in Vadodara - Varanasi Immediately after the declaration of electionresults, Shri Narendra Modi addressed a large publicmeeting in his constituency in Vadodara in Gujarat.He expressed his gratitude for the massive victory ofBJP in all the 26 seats in Gujarat and said that hisgovernment will work for everyone; from Kashmirto Kanyakumari and Kutch to Kamarup. Bowing tothe people in humility, he said that his governmentwill be dedicated to good governance. The very next day, Shri Narendra Modi reachedVaranasi where people extended him a warmwelcome.After performing Puja at KashiVishwanathtemple, he took part in Ganga Aarti at the famousDashashwamedh Ghat. Shri Narendra Modi elected as the leader of BJP Parliamentary Party BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Shri Narendra Modi was formally electedas leader of the Parliamentary Party on May 20, 2014. Shri Modi, before enteringthe Parliament house bowed his head down at the staircase and became emotionalduring his address in the Parliament house. Terming the party as Mother, ShriModi said son can never bring any favours to his Mother; he can only do theservice. He also reminded the newly elected MPs of their responsibilities andasked them to be prepared to fulfill people's hopes and expectations.Ameetingof NDA was convened immediately after this and Shri Modi was once againformally elected as its leader. Oath-taking ceremony Following the glorious victory of BJP led NDA Shri Narendra Damodar Das Modi took oath at the forecourts of the RashtrapatiBhawan as 15th Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014. The President, Shri Pranab Mukherjee administered oath of office toPrime Minister Shri Modi along with 23 Cabinet ministers, 10 Ministers of State (independent charge) and 12 Ministers of State.At this historic moment the entire forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhawan was packed with more than 3500 dignitaries including headof States of SAARC countries. Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Nawaz Sharif, President of Sri Lanka Mr. Mahindra Rajpakshe,President of Afghanistan Mr. Hamid Karzai Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. Sushil Koirala, Prime Minister of Bhutan Mr. SheringTopme and President of Maldives Mr.Abdullah YaminAbdul Gayum specially participated in this function. 18 BJP National Executive - Gen. BJP led NDA Government ushers a new era of hope and trust A new era of hope and trust commenced with the oath of office by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The country ismarching towards development oriented politics by new work culture, corruption free governance and people friendly system andprograms. He is dedicated for the development of villages, poor, farmers, downtrodden by working indefatigably for 18-20 hoursdaily with new vision, fast pace and transparent policies. He is continuously inspiring the youth by his unique initiative for not onlytowards jobs but also towards entrepreneurship. A completely new picture of India is emerging. People are marching towardsgolden future with great confidence. The Prime Minister has presented a new image of India during his foreign visits and he has been successful in shifting the globalparadigm towards India. Shri Amit Shah becomes BJP National Executive - Gen. Secy. Report : 2013-2016 BJP National President On July 9, 2014, the then NationalPresident Shri Rajnath Singh announcedthe name of ShriAmit Shah as new PartyPresident at BJP headquarters in NewDelhi. Shri Singh, while resigning from hispost after becoming Home Minister in linewith the principal of 'one person, one post'said that ShriAmit Shah would be the newparty president from then onwards.Subsequently, the Prime Minister ShriNarendra Modi congratulated Shri Shahby offering sweets. Congratulating ShriShah, Shri Rajnath Singh said that the partyhas achieved unprecedented success inUttar Pradesh under his leadership. Hepossesses special organizing capabilitiesand he is expert in Management andstrategy making. He said that the nameof Shri Amit Shah was decidedunanimously in the BJP ParliamentaryParty meeting. National Council Meeting, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi A one-day BJP National Council meeting was organized on August 9, 2014 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. Thecontributions made by BJP led NDA government under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi were discussed and at the same time,plans were formulated to strengthen the partyorganization. The meeting was inaugurated by BJPNational President Shri Amit Shah. Shri Shahdelivered an inspiring speech.Apolitical resolutionwas also passed unanimously in this meeting. BJPMPs, MLAs, office bearers and the representativesalong with the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi,senior BJPleader Shri Lal KrishnaAdvani, FormerBJPNational Presidents Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi,Shri MVenkaiah Naidu, Shri Rajnath Singh, UnionForeign Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj, UnionFinance Minister ShriArun Jaitley, Chief Ministersof BJP ruled states, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan(Madhya Pradesh), Smt. Vasundhara Raje(Rajasthan), Smt. Anandiben Patel (Gujarat), Dr.RamanSingh(Chhattisgarh), ShriManoharParriker(Goa) were present in this meeting. While speakingat the first national council meeting held after LokSabha 2014 elections, the BJPPresident ShriAmitShah said that Shri Narendra Modi during his LokSabha election campaign had given a call of'Congress Mukta Bharat' but India will become'Congress Mukta' only when we make it 'BJPYukta.'BJP National Executive - Gen. Sangathan Parva • There has been a tradition of membership drive of BJP at the interval of every 6 years. Shri Amit Bhai after assuming the post of party president, brought amendments in the constitution of the party in the National council held at Delhi in August 2014 and gave a new look to the membership campaign. Online membership was accepted in the meeting. • Shri Amit Shah and his entire team worked very hard day and night to achieve the ambitious target of making BJP the largest party in the world and during this period, he travelled 39,681 kilometers covering almost all the states of the country. • As a result of these efforts, the membership increased from 2,4732,439 crore to 12,00,55,750 crore, 5 times of its previous numbers. The Party started more than 50 types of different programs to expedite the membership campaign. • The transparency of the membership campaign can be understood from the fact that addresses and phone numbers of all the new members could be compiled along with the names of the new members. • Special attention was paid to the seven electorally weak states, viz,Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Kerala, Odisha, Tamilnadu, Telangana andWest Bengal.The results of these efforts were encouraging which indicate towards the bright future of the party. • 5500 full time party workers played an active role in membership campaign for six months in various states. • Special attention was given to North East States and Union Territories by organising meetings focusing them.22 BJP National Executive - Gen. Mahasampark Abhiyan BJP National President ShriAmit Shah started the MahasamparkAbhiyan (Massive Contact programme)on 01 May 2015 inthe presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The karyakartas went from house to house after the completion of membershipdrive to give information about the party’s history, development and achievements and also distributed a pamphlet containing detailsof the achievements of the government. The SamparkAbhiyan started from the residence of the Prime Minister and thereafter theteam of karyakartas spearheaded this campaign by visiting the houses of the new members.BJP National Executive - Gen. Jan SwabhimanAbhiyaan: Programmes were organised at all State and district headquarters on January 18, 19 and 20 overthe incidents in JNU and Hyderabad Universities. Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan: For 10 days Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan was organised in all the States of the country. A specialprogramme was also launched to end the curse of manual scavenging from every part of the country. Mudra Yojna: So far loan amounting to Rs. 99,468 crore to 2.7 beneficiaries were advanced for promoting self-employment.Party launched a special programme to help small workers. Publication The meetings of the editors of all the party journals were held twice at the national level in New Delhi. In these meetingsNational President ShriAmit Shah and National General Secretary (Organisation) Shri Ramlal were present. New workplan wasprepared for the publications of entire country. The party journal Kamal Sandesh is being published fortnightly in Hindi and Englishregularly with a circulation of 47,000 copies. In 18 states, state level journals are continuously published in various languages withcombined circulation of around 450000 copies. In the national council meeting held in Delhi Kamal Sandesh special issue ‘YuvaBharat’ was released by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and National President Shri Amit Shah. IT, Website and Social Media Management Department Apart from facilitating communication between the largest political membership base in the world of around 11 crore peopleand the party leadership, it also conducted engagement and expansion drives like membership/volunteers' programs and digitalcampaigns for state and local body elections. After the formation of the BJP led NDA government at the centre in 2014, it alsoengages in research work related to governance schemes, programs and achievements and communicates them to the public. Thenational IT department team now professionally manages all digital operations of the party on a day to day basis that includesmaintaining official social media pages and handles, an internet TV named Yuva TV to stream party programs, website, contentcreation and dissemination to volunteers and members. MORCHAMahila Morcha The National Executive meetings of theBJP Mahila Morcha were held from timeto time and the members have taken thedecision to expand the organisation and topublicise the welfare schemes announcedby the Modi government for the benefit ofthe common people and specially thewomen. Various meetings were organised in different states to publicize different farmerfriendly schemes of Modi government like Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Krishi Sichai Yojana etc. To avert the problemsfaced by the farmers the Morcha also organised Kisan Jagaran Saptah and also led demonstrations and submitted memos withregard to famrmers’ issues to authorities in various states.Minority Morcha The BJP led NDAgovernment has done many things and carried out various welfare measures for the minorities of the country.For the awareness of the minorities regarding the schemes of the Modi government like Swatch Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana, PMMahila Surakshya Bima Yojana, and schemes launched by the Ministries of HRD, Minority affairs and Skill Development, theMinority Morcha organised several programmes in various states and encouraged the minorities to join the party in large numbers.As a result, a large number of minorities got associated and took membership of the party during the membership drive.SC Morcha The SC Morcha organised its National Executive and the Dalit Mahila Sammelan in Delhi. The Morcha also submitteda memo to the central government to declare Mangarh as a National memorial and the state government assured the Morcha tobuild a Tribal museum at Mangarh.
