O.P. JINDAL SCHOOL, ANGUL FOUNDATION DAY \"My life is my message\" - Mahatma Gandhi Indeed, the mark of greatness is walking the life for other people to emulate- a life centred on values. On this auspicious day, We, the OPJSA fraternity, paid our humble tribute to Sh. Om Prakash Jindal Ji, 'Bauji' for us, on his 91st Birth Anniversary. He was a visionary, a philanthropist and a leader in the truest sense of the word and the story of his life is nothing short of legend. Today, our institution conducted various competitions with the children-Speech competition (Classes I to V) ,Slogan Writing Competition (Class VI), Hindi declamation (Class VII& VII), English declamation (Class IX & X) and Quiz (XI & XII) to get the memory of this day etched in young minds.The lighted lamp, floral tribute and beautiful bhajans were offered in memory of this great man in the graceful presence and guidance of Respected, Chhanda Charana Das, Sir, and Revered Atanu Rath Sir. The celebrations ended with a Vote of Thanks by Headmistress Madam and her persuasive and powerful speech on the promise of walking on Babuji's paved path. 75th Independence Day The only real prison is fear, and the only real freedom is freedom from fear.\" A fusion of brilliance, artistry and dedication was witnessed today in OPJSA, on the occasion of 75th IndepenencDay of our country. Honourable Chief Guest, Plant Head, Shri Hridyeshwar Jha Sir's speech seemed to have reverberations of Lord Alfred Tennyson's poetry, 'The Charge of the Light Brigade' and we were reminded how our country is graciously blessed with endeavours and accomplishments of an Outstanding Son of 'Bharat Maata', Revered Chairman Sir Shri Naveen Jindalji. It is a matter of exquisite pleasure and joy for JSPL, Angul fraternity ( JSPL Plant and O.P Jindal School) that the flag was hoisted, the slogan of 'Jai Hind' powerfully echoed and Guard of Honour was presented to the National Ensign, the Tricolour, while strictly adhering to the Covid guidelines of the State. TRICOLOUR IS ABOVE EVERYTHING

RAKSHABANDHAN CELEBRATION The festival of Sanctity and Love The children of Pre-Primary Group of OPJSA celebrated 'Rakshabandhan' by tying knot of love,care and support on their brothers' wrists, while the brother swore to stand by them through thick and thin. The children looked sweet as the 'mithai' and 'ladoo'(Indian sweets) in their colourful clothes and they enjoyed a lot.The saying on Rakhi festival goes like this \"Bhai-behen ka Pyaar badaane aata hain Rakhi ka Tyohar\"( Rakhi is an occasion to strengthen and increase the intense love and bonding of the brother sister duo). The bond among siblings is invisible but unbreakable, children must learn to value this relationship.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY National Sports Day is celebrated on 29th August as an event to commemorate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand- The Wizard of Hockey. His dexterity in the arena of Hockey is legendary. The significance of the day is that it inspires the youngsters not just to increasingly take part in sports, but also to strive to excel in it. The only praiseworthy tribute that can be given to him is that more focus should be given to youngsters who pursue sports and they must also feel blessed to have chosen that life for themselves. JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION Janmashtami the Hindu religious festival that marks the birth of *Lord Shri Krishna* was celebrated on 27th August 2021 by the Pre- Primary section of OPJSA where they dressed up to look like our Kamal Nayan *Murali Manohar*. The story of *Devaki Nandanay's* life speaks about facing tremen- dous odds and emerging victorious. It is also a tale of adapting and excelling at the various roles that *Gopalnandan* had to take up in the course of his life. We pray that our little children understand what love, strength and forgiveness are, with the help of love and guidance of their elders.



FAREWELL PROGRAM \"A farewell is not a goodbye; it's just a parting of ways, until we meet again.\" With much pain in heart, OPJS-Angul fraternity gathered on a deep grey last day of August 2021 to bid farewell to Shri Chhanda Charana Das, as he passed on his mantle to Shri Atanu Rath. In the 10 years of his illustrious career that he was the Principal of OPJS, Angul, he had taken the school from strength to strength, scaling new heights, crossing new milestones along the way. The educator fraternity gathered for this solemn event at RK Hall. Reverend R.K.Trivedi Sir, Dean of OPJ Group of Schools and Principal of OPJS, Raigarh, connected over the internet and shared with OPJSA his experience of association with Shri Chhanda Charana Das. Dr Imran Perwaiz & Mr Ramakrishna Tripathy greeted Chhanda Charana Das Sir and opened the session with fond memories. Their orations were suitably embellished by group songs by female and male staff of OPJSA. Mr Feroz Ahmed Khan reminisced Chhanda Charana Das Sir's remarkable timeline with an eloquent power point presentation. Thereafter, teachers from all departments came up with their remembrances of Das Sir. Shri Ravi Shankar, OPJS-A Manager, very concisely narrated his tryst with Das Sir. Our Principal, Shri Atanu Rath, promised to take forward the voyage and preserve the legacy, shaped up by Chhanda Charana Das Sir and wished him luck. Ravi Shankar Sir felicitated and presented a memento to Das Sir. This was followed by Chhanda Charana Das Sir's final address to us, all within the bounds of school. Lastly, Mrs Sangeeta Sharma, Headmistress of OPJSA not only concluded the eventful day with a hint of nostalgia but also took up a resolution of learning new things like Sir and also encourage others to imbibe and inculcate beautiful val- ues of tolerance, patience, spirituality and simplicity like Chhanda Charana Das Sir.

TEACHERS‟ DAY An awesome teacher is hard to find, difficult to part with & impossible to forget. Teachers' day celebration held at O.P Jindal School, Angul, was an awesome display of festivity infused with obeisance, with the participants putting up a show par excellence. Honorable Smt. Savitri Devi Jindalji, Chairperson Emeritus, O.P.Jindal Group, graced the occasion with her benign presence. Mrs. Anita Mittal and Mrs. Anindita Banerjee were the honoured guests. The Lamp lighting ceremony was followed by floral tributes to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the eminent scholar and former President of India. Teachers of the school weaved magic & enthralled everyone through soulful songs, a mesmerizing dance performance and an amazing skit titled 'Parivartan'. The ambience was given a touch of nostalgia by the rendition of a self-composed poem by esteemed Mrs. Anindita Banerjee. An entertaining program followed by the felicitation ceremony to applaud the concerted and sincere efforts of teachers to ensure the continuity of learning during the Pandemic, was the icing on the cake. Revered Principal Sh. Atanu Rath expressed his gratitude to teachers all over the world for their painstaking efforts in ensuring uninterrupted learning of the students. Esteemed Chief Guest of the Program, Smt. Savitri Jindalji, lovingly called 'Maaji', motivated and lauded the teachers for their exemplary service, immense patience and commitment. The event ended with a Vote of Thanks accorded by Respected Headmistress Mrs. Sangeeta Sharma, overwhelmingly expressing heartfelt gratitude to Beloved Maaji for sparing time from her busy schedule to motivate the school staff and be a source of immense inspiration for all the future endeavours. As the adage goes, 'it's the teacher that makes the difference & not the classroom.

INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY *Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge, knowledge makes you great.\"* On the occasion of \"International literacy day \",O.P.Jindal school, Angul observed various activities in the virtual class- rooms to give an insight on the fact that \"literacy is a human right &the basis of all knowledge. \" To mark this day students of primary wing virtually participated in exciting literary based activities. Even the students of Senior secondary wing projected their viewpoint in the form of slogans on literacy, giving emphasis on Education as the foundation stone to build a more sustainable future for all.Through their slogans in four different languages, they insisted on the need to educate more & more people so that the world can begin its journey towards a better tomorrow. SHRI GANESHA PUJA A traditional festival of worshipping Shri Ganesha- Lord of the People, literally, to bestow upon us the virtues. He is the Embodiment of all the virtues that when combined, give 'Siddhi'(success). Lord Ganesha is highly perceptive- as represented by large ears and has a brilliant mind, and like his consort, the rat, he collects the smallest grains of labour that combine to yield Siddhi. OPJS-A staff organised Shri Ganesha Puja under the guidance of Mr. Atanu Rath, Principal OPJS-A. The auspicious day initiated with musical tribute being given to Ganeshji in the form of Bhajans, 'Strotams' and other devotional songs. Then there was ghatha-sthapana with chanting of 'Mantras' by Pandit ji. With conch shell being blown and incense sticks being lit, beats of the 'Kasar' bell,it was a time to connect spiritually with the Lord and seek his blessings and get cheerful and gratified for rest of the year.

STORY TELLING COMPETITION \"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.\" It comes to a full circle when the trainer or guide realises that their goal is achieved. OPJS-A witnessed such a spectacular occurrence on 3rd September 2021. The following Competitions took place on that day- Story Telling Competition for Pre- Primary Group, Hindi Poem Recitation Competition for Class I, English poem Recitation Competition on Nature or Teacher for Classes III & IV, Bhasan Pratiyogita( Hindi Speech Competition) on topic 'Siksha ka Mahatva'(Importance of Education) for Classes IV & V, English Speech Competition for Class VI, English Speech Competition for Classes VII & VIII and English Extempore Competition for Class IX-X & XI-XII. All the students participated with such charisma that it was tough to decide who were the best among them. It must be concluded that these children want to lead a life braced with creative magnificence, come what may.

HINDI DIWAS FOUNDERS DAY Founder's Day Inter-School Competition and NCC A Certificate Examination. Let us all join hands in greeting the students and Educator of OPJSA who won the laurels and brought the school honour. Astha Aditi Sahoo of Class-VI brought home the First prize in Drawing and Painting in the Junior section, while her senior counterparts, Sai Rakshita Swain and Gargi Mohanty from Class-X, won the First and Third prizes respectively. Ria Chaturvedi of Class-IX went head-on against her much senior competitors in the Debate Competition and secured the Third prize. Nisharg B. Nargund, Class XII, won the First Prize, and Trashi Sharma, Class-X, brought us the second prize in Web Designing. And among the hands that nurture these lively saplings, we have our very own DR. Mohan Sundar Meher, who secured the First prize in Staff English Poetry Writing Competition. National Cadet Corps(NCC) is a group for which uniform is a matter of pride, and medals on them are their pride. Shivani Dubey, Ankita Mondal, Barnalee Nayak, Pratiksha Priyadarshi Biswal, Astha Pandey, Manojita Priyadarshini, Simran Sahoo, Ruby Rupshikha Meher, Reet Fogla, Gargi Mohanty, Isha Mohini, Jyotishree Bisoi,Deepsikha Patra, Prerna Bothra, Abhilipsa Patnaik, Poorva Kumari, Trashi Sharma, Devjyota Das, Ananya Bhujbal, Aakanksha Pathy, Ritu Sharma,Priyanshi Modi, Siddhi Verma, P.Anwesha Kiran, Chinmayee Sahu, Prakee Panda, Bijayalakshmi Sahu, Nishidha Malviya, Sneha Tiwary, Sonalisha Pradhan, Nyasha Tulsiyan, Yashaswi Sahu Priyadarshini Baral and Subhasree Sahu performed with utmost skill and were brilliant in this examination which took place in Angul, Odisha. These cadets are constantly taking responsibility for themself and always moving a step closer to their dreams and goals of life.



GANDHI JAYANTI \"If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world changes towards him. We need not wait to see what others do.\" OPJSA conducted Virtual celebration (students of Std Nur to VIII) and also offline Celebration of Gandhi Jayanti & Shastriji's birthday in school premises, on 2ndOctober 2021.The auspicious occasion was marked by lighting of the lamp. The cultural program initiated with a docu- mentary and then there was speech, dance performances, recitation of poetry and songs; all performed by our students under the guidance of teachers. There was a fancy dress show for the young ones which they performed brilliantly. The event concluded with demonstration of cards customized by the students.The OPJS-A fraternity in the school premises, initiated the program by lighting of the lamp followed by floral tributes, a mesmerizing bhajan that resonated in the minds of every soul present in the event. Educators paid tribute to the souls by presenting poems, skit and speech. The crux of the matter is that Gandhiji's ideals of living on a minimum, non-violence and \"freedom to make mistakes\" are more relevant today than ever.

ACHIEVEMENTS After a splendid performance at Founder's Day events, OPJS-A does wonders again. Mrs Swati Pandey, a teacher of our Institution has made the entire school proud by accomplishing the First Rank in the ETNB Mukabla, a three-day(3rd,4th and 5th September, 2021) quiz extravaganza, which took place to mark the importance of Teachers' Day. Educators participated online from all parts of the country in this Quiz. Dance is an essential part of our culture as it is an expression of the soul. An International Mega Dance Festival was an event which took place in Puri, Odisha. The event was organised in between 1st to 3rd October at Aranaprna Rangmanch, Puri. Satchentan Satpathy got the 7th Rank, Maji Kalyaneswari received the 8th Rank and Sai Shambhavi Tripathy got the 4th Rank in the event. The prestigious award 'Nrutya Suravi Sanman' was not only conferred on the students but also on the very talented Mr. Rajkumar Nahak. OPJS-A always comprehends the importance of Health and 'why prevention is better than cure'. The event New India@ 75- HIV, TB & Blood Donation Awareness Campaign, 1st Phase was organised by Zilla Swasthya Samiti, Angul, Odisha from 12.08.2021 to 20.08.2021. The talented students of our School who involved themselves and gloriously performed to take back the enriching experience are Prerna Bothra, Aritosh Swain, Ananya Anwesha Dehury and Anisha Sahoo. This was an initiative by Central Government in collaboration with State Health Department. The new generation must be aware of the diseases which have plagued the country for a long time and help in its eradication by creating awareness. So, let us give a loud cheer for both the students and teachers who overcome hurdles everyday and never forget to learn something each day and inspire others to do so. CCA ACTIVITIES \"Every child is an individual with a different growth rate and a varied and vast potential. Respecting the talent that is hidden within each child, we respect their potential to become kings of their trade, or Saviors of the World to come\".Thus goes the adage . At OPJS, Angul, where holistic growth of the child is our prime concern, various competitions such as Odia poem Recitation for class 1, Odia Declamation for Class II to V , Odia declamation for IV and V, Virtual English Extempore class VI to VIII, were conducted on22 October 2021 as a part of the significant role that co-curricular activities play in the development of a student. Even our toddlers were not behind when it came to showcasing their talents.The little ones from KG and Nursery groups delighted us with their sweet voice and presentation of English and Hindi rhymes respectively.

GRAND PARENTS DAY *\"Grandparents make the world a little softer, a little kinder and a little warmer.\"* Pre - Primary students of O.P Jindal School, Angul celebrated Grandparents' Day virtually with great enthusiasm . The celebration began with special performances like dance, song and speech by our blooming buds for their Grandparents, who were overwhelmed to enjoy with their Grandchildren .They also shared their feelings and thoughts with the teachers. The results of dance competition of Pre Primary wing is also given below for your delight.

NATIONAL UNITY DAY Work is undoubtedly worship but laughter is life. Anyone who takes life too seriously must prepare himself for a miserable existence. Anyone who greets joys and sorrows with equal facility can really get the best of life.\" National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated on 31st October every year since 2014 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This year marks the 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, freedom fighter and later a politician who played a major role in the integration of India. On 31st October, School organized a wonderful event Triatholon where students and parents of class VI to VIII, were engaged in various activities and exercises. The activities planned were bicycling, jogging, brisk walking of students and parents. In Cyclothon event the children competed with other children in bicycle, the fathers engaged themselves in jogging and mothers participated through brisk walking. The Grand Event commenced at 7.30am & took place in Jindal premises for the first time. To add more ,bicycling is in a way 'caring for the Nature' and also caring for One's own body. The school took care of safety and security protocols with able support from JSPL officials. Winners were felicitated with mementos by Principal. The OPJSA fraternity extended deepest thanks to the honourable Chairman & Manager,SMC & other Management dignitaries, the OHC,the very vigilant Security Personnel for their enormous cooperation for this gala event . All staff members paid floral tribute to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Ballavbhai Patel on his birth anniversery and took the pledge for Unity in Thoughts, Actions and Deeds.

NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY \"National Education Day, declared by the central Government of India, is observed on 11th November to celebrate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad,great freedom fighter and eminent education- ist and the first Union Minister of Education. Keeping up with the same a Poster Making activity and Slogan writing was organised on „The Importance of Education‟. Making posters were an exciting opportunity for the students to engage in discussions and negotiate the various ways to depict the ideas, and most importantly, be creative. It was open for all the students. They took keen interest and tried their hands on their sheets. They made impressive posters and slogans. It motivated the students and encouraged active learning. The endeavour was to create awareness about the life changing role of education. The students took a keen participation in the activities and presented amazing posters and slogans. It has been rightly said, You have to Dream before your Dreams can come true\"

CHILDREN‟S DAY CELEBRATION We don't have to really think of God when we are blessed with the presence of children around us. The most remarkable day for children commenced on 13th November with zeal&enthusiasm and the teachers conducted a myriad of events like fancy dress competition for Classes Nursery, KG, I, II and III, Solo Dance Competition for Classes IV and V and Virtual talent hunt for Classes VI,VII and VIIl . To brighten up the day, a documentary was also screened online for the students of all classes. The day blasted off with the blaring presence of Shri Ravi Shankar, EVP(HR&ES) Jindal Steel & Power Ltd & Manager SMC . The School Authority and the Staff members initiated the bright occasion by welcoming the Guest of the day, then followed the lamp lighting& floral tributes to the Great Man, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Ji's portrait .Awe - inspiring it was to watch the teachers getting in their pupils shoes,shaking a leg and setting the stage on fire with their spunky dance performances. Revered Principal Sir OPJSA, Mr Atanu Rath, added further grandeur to the program with his profound and promising Welcome Address .Shri Ravi Shankar, Manager SMC also made precious contribution to this day by recounting tales from his childhood and other experiences. Last but not the least the event was concluded with a wonderful short speech and Vote Of Thanks by Headmistress, Mrs Sangeeta Sharma.

DIGITAL LIBRARY WEBSITE Technology has changed every aspect of our lives but perhaps none has been so deeply affected as the act of creating and sharing knowledge. O.P. Jindal School created its mark with the launch of it's new library website inaugurated by Shri Damodar Mittal, Executive Director, Jindal Steel Odisha Ltd & Chairman School Working Committee and Shri Ravi Shankar, EVP(HR&ES), Jindal Steel and Power Ltd, Angul & Manager, School Management Committee. In the non-stop tsunami of global information, the library provides us with floaties and help us to swim. Kudos goes to the Librarian Mr. Brajamohan Mishra who streamlined and reorganized the content, making it mobile-friendly. The event was fuelled with the welcome song & a spectacular dance performance by Mr. Rajkumar. Mr. Damodar Mittal applauded the school fraternity for successfully weaving around innovation and teamwork. Mr.Atanu Rath, Principal OPJSA also spoke and assured on providing leadership, direction and coordination within the school so as to create an organization which fosters student and teacher growth. A benifitting conclusion to the event was the Vote of thanks proposed by the Headmistress Mrs Sangeeta Sharma .

VIRTUAL BOOK FAIR Whenever we read a good book, somewhere in the world, a door opens to allow in more light. In order to satiate the urge of reading among the students & to celebrate the National Book Week, O.P.Jindal School organized a Virtual Book Fair on 18th November 2021. Snehangshu Manna,a student speaker from Class VIII shared that \"There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate's loot on Treasure Island ,they are a uniquely portable magic.\" Principal Mr Atanu Rath through his motivating words assured that the Virtual Book Fair would definitely be an interactive alive experience that's the next best thing to being together at an in-school fair. Scholastic Resource person Mrs.Chitralekha Bhaskar, an educational advisor, facilitator, author& editor opined that a Virtual book fair is the most loved and best known venue for motivating kids to read more as they discover and browse through a wide treasure trove of age appropriate selection of books, igniting a passion for reading and creating an engaging experience. OPJSA fraternity geared up and ignited their passion for books to and it got further complemented brilliantly with the launch of OPJSA library website. Plethora of activities took place as the children of III and IV were asked to design a book cover or mark, prepare a library poster,paint a scene from their favourite book, draw their favourite author or character. Last but not the least they were asked to write a slogan on books.They were allowed the privilege of submitting as many entries as they wanted.The activity assigned to Classes VI and VII was quite interesting and one that children nowadays love the most.They were asked to upload a photo/selfie of reading books and mentioning title, author and also give brief description of the book.These events took place on 15th November 2021.An online quiz was conducted on 16th November 2021 on the topic, \" Books and Authors\" for Classes VIII and IX. The students participated in this with utmost joviality and enthusiasm. The Virtual Book Fair for Classes VI to IX was conducted through a Zoom Meeting from 8:15am to 9:30 am on 18th November 2021. This was held in association with Scholastic India Pvt. Ltd. The Virtual Book Fair (Std I to V) took place in two time slots through Zoom Meeting on 20th November. Mr. Brajamohan Mishra, the school librarian concluded the grandiose event with his Vote of thanks. It is very true that there is no friend as loyal as a book. Hence, the library's website will definitely open up New Horizons for the children of OPJSA.

UNITY AND DISCIPLINE Living up to this motto OPJS-A children dedicated themselves to the training, as NCC(National Cadet Corps) Cadets. NCC being the Indian Armed Forces young wing and is a Tri-Services Organisation comprising of the Army Navy,Air Force and Army Wing that is dedicated to training the country's children. The NCC's flag hoisting was complemented by an energising speech by Army Girls Cadet and Air Wing Boys Cadet. The strength of Junior Division Air Wing NCC(boys) Cadet and Junior Wing Army Cadet (girls) was both 25, respectively. The celebration reverberated with feelings of patriotism, unity and strength. The event was concluded with a motivating speech by Mr Atanu Rath, Principal OPJS-A & Headmistress, Mrs. Sangeeta Sharma.The Guide cum Philospher duo of the day, Associate NCC Officer(ANO), Mr.Amanat Deewan, Air Wing NCC and Army Wing Care Taker Officer(CTO) Mrs.Firdosh Deewan marked the day with some inspiring oration.

ART PAINTING ACHIEVEMENT Art has the power to transfer,to illuminate,to educate, inspire and motivate. A work of art being a world in itself reflects senses and emotions of the artist's world. Astha Aditi Sahoo,VI-A cornered the rare accolade of her achievement and glorified the name of O.P.Jindal School securing Best of the Year 2021 Group-D Certificate in Art & Painting18th Junior Category National Child Art Contest organised by Kalahandi Art Foundation and Mahabir Sanskrutick Anusthan on 4th November 2021.She made her mark straining all her nerve and potential to sketch a landscape with her intuity and scale the height of glory. The principal, staff and teachers spoke high of the achievement trail of Astha Aditi who led to the path of glory with her indomitable sincere efforts. MARTIAL ART CHAMPIONSHIP The more we sweat in training,the less we bleed in combat. True to this aphorism, every school-going girl under various age groups is blessed with unique martial art that stimulate every future leader who yearns for a career in defensive combat. Ruby Rupshikha Meher, X-B representing Angul district, under 14 girls, from O.P.Jindal School scaled to the glory of participating in the State Level Schools Sqay Martial Art Championship held at Sayeed Seminary, Cuttack. Having brought rare laurels to the school in Sqay Martial Art, Principal, teachers, coach and staff showered complements upon the State Championship participant wishing her a bright career ahead. Odisha State School Association, Bhubaneswar organised the most time-honoured Martial Art Championship on behalf of the Department of School and Mass Education, Govt.of Odisha,opening avenues for future heroes and heroines that every promising school boy/ girl can be a nation's leader and icon of gallantry.

PUPPET SHOW “We are only puppets, our strings are being pulled by unknown forces” – George Bucher OPJS Angul organised a Puppet Show Competition on 16th Dec 2021, wherein the competitors entertained everyone with the traditional way of story telling. The programme commenced with a mesmerising presentation by the school. Mrs. Supriya Baral, CCA Co-ordinator welcomed the Chief Guest Mrs. Anita Mittal, President JMS, the Guest of Honour Mrs. Pushpa Satpathy, DGM, CSR, the esteemed dignitaries Mrs. Nitu Gupta, President, Gou Seva Nari Committee, Angul & Dr. Priyadarshini Ray, Jindal Hospital. Principal Atanu Rath delivered his welcome address & congratulated the participants for putting up a wonderful show, which was a beautiful amalgamation of drama, story, sound effects & digital graphics. The participants expressed themselves, their creativity & unbridled imagination. The zeal & gusto of the students of class Nursery to II, with as many as 66 participants, was undoubtedly a visual treat for everyone. The winning students received trophies form the dignitaries. Congratulations to our shining stars ! The programme ended with the observation of Vijay Diwas to commemorate the service, valour and sacrifices of the brave soldiers who selflessly laid down their lives to safeguard India‟s borders. Mrs. Anusuya Rai & Mr. Raj Kumar Nahak through their patriotic song & dance presentation respectively, filled the ambience with patriotism. Mrs. Sangeeta Sharma, the Headmistress accorded the vote of thanks & appreciated the initiatives & efforts of the students & their parents.

SINGER OF THE YEAR EUNOIA: Aiming to Unbridle Imagination O.P. Jindal School, Angul believes in empowering its students to be lifelong learners & productive members of an everchanging society. Music- is a universal language that has the power to touch every heart, inspire every mind & heal every wound. Music, which is the soul of our school, came to life at the „Singer of the Year‟ competition organised on 20 Dec‟21- an event which aimed at providing a platform for the young students to unleash their magnificient performance. The students‟ musical talent came to the fore, as they rendered Indian & Western tunes confidently & melodiously. All the 8 participants were scored on the choice of song, melody, pitch, rhythm, expression and overall impact. The young maestros were well appreciated by the judges from the Music World, Ms. Sonia Mishra, Mr. Rakesh Mohapatra, Mr. Atish Ku.Pattasenani & Mrs. Hrituparna Mandal. Master Tanishq Bisen emerged victorious as he bagged the title „Singer of the Year‟ 2021-22. “Dancing is creating a sculpture that is visible only for a moment”- Erol Ozam. The „Dancer of the Year‟ competition was organised at OPJSA for the students of Class-VI to XI on 20th Dec 2021. It commenced with great zest and enthusiasm as all the 8 participatns, dressed in colourful costumes, twirled around & set the stage on fire with swirling & thrilling performances. They also enthralled the jury & audience alike, attracting all eyeballs.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION Christmas Celebrations at O.P.Jindal School, Angul Each sight, each sound of Christmas And fragrances sublime.... Christmas waves a magic wand over this world & behold, everything is softer & more beautiful. Christmas brings cheer and love and we at O.P.Jindal School, Angul celebrated it with the same fervor, spreading the message of love and joy among our children. Our KG angels danced to the exciting tunes and added a sparkle, followed by a host of activities like speech,games, quiz and mesmerizing Christmas Carols. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children as they enjoyed being a part of the celebration virtually. In a different event, the Nursery kids and the under privileged children of Asha the Hope were amused with the Christmas gifts donated by the staff of the school.Mr Atanu Rath, Principal and Mrs Sangeeta Sharma, Headmistress appreciated the choreogra- phers and organizers for casting a marvellous entertainment show for the school kids while observing the Christmas Carnival. Students of Std: IX and XI were present on fun and flurries of the day. Our celebrations truly begin when we share our love with the less fortunate ones ,to bring joy among those kids and smile on the faces who hardly get a chance to celebrate any occasion. Indeed it was an amazing day at O.P.Jindal School, Angul.
