Vietnam has a population of more than 95 million people and has a high economic growth rate, accompanied by a rapid population aging, people increasingly concerned about health issues. The average income is more than 2,300 USD/person/year. Increasing income leads to increased spending on health needs. In 2005, the average spending on medicine per person was 9.85 USD, 22.25 USD in 2010 and 37.97 USD in 2015. According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam in 2015, Vietnam spent more than 2.3 billion USD on pharmaceutical imports, in 2018 it was more than 2.8 billion USD, in 2019 it was more than 3 billion USD, it is estimated that it will be 3.5 billion USD in 2020 .
