Centre for Research Anna University, Chennai 14th Meeting of the Executive Committee – Agenda 13.4.1 TO CONSIDER AND RATIFY INCREASE IN FEE FOR RESEARCH CENTRE RECOGNITION AND RENEWAL The University is granting recognization to the Research Centre for guiding the Ph.D / M.S.(by Research) students, for which University is collecting recognization fee of Rs.50,000/- and Rs.10,000/- as renewal fee respectively from the Institutions. The Honorarium and the Travelling alowances are paid to the inspection committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor. The Institutions situated all 27

Centre for Research Anna University, Chennai 14th Meeting of the Executive Committee – Agenda Budget Estimate budget estimate for rs. 25 crores has been provided for the year 2014 -15 under the head foreing examiner fee upto september 2014 a sum of rs....... has been incurred. a sum of rs. 25 lakhs has erronous asked as revised budget instead of rs.25 crs. the same also being approved by the finance committee and syndicate. But foreign examiner fee has to be paid tot he foriengs for having elaatioed research scholar thesis. hence the foreign examiners paid to the tune of rs. (acutal amount) for the year 2014-15. Actual expenditure of rs. 1.49 crors incurred for the payment of fexam fee over and above budget estitmate is rs.1.24 crs lakh . The matter is placed for the ec for its ratification. 33
