A Year of Firsts Activity report of Université de l’Ontario français (UOF), May 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022

We have just wrapped up our first proper year of full operation Members of the Board of and have experienced all the joys, challenges, and surprises Governors that come with establishing a university in the 21st century during a pandemic. Since the UOF Act of 2017 was passed, Dyane Adam, Chair thereby establishing the University, we have patiently and Jacques Naud, Vice-Chair painstakingly reached many milestones, including the approval Normand Côté of our first programs of study, the construction of our campus, Frédéric Dimanche the appointment of president Pierre Ouellette, the welcoming Rodrigue Gilbert of our first cohort of students, and the appointment of our first Koubra Haggar chancellor, Paul Rouleau. Our inaugural year of activity has Louise Hurteau underscored the relevance of the many steps taken by the Marième Lo francophone community over the years to lobby for the creation Paulin Mulatris of a French-language university that can shine at the provincial, Florence Ngenzebuhoro Canadian and international levels. Members of senior management Université de l’Ontario français has taken shape over the past few months thanks to the efforts of a dynamic and seasoned Gilles Fortin, Vice-President team and the support of partners who are deeply committed —Administration to our institution. Their mandate was to create an innovative French-language institution that draws on an innovative Paulin Mulatris, Vice-President —Studies pedagogical approach to stand out in the higher education and Research sector.
