COMMUNITY IMPACT: The Detroit Red Wings are committed to enhancing livesthrough the power of hockey with a focus on community investment and youth development.

Dear friends,I am proud to share that the Detroit Red Wings’ longstanding commitment to giving back to our community continues to grow each year.Ushering in a new era for the organization, the opening of Little Caesars Arena proved to be an impactful addition to the community. Well beyondbest-in-class amenities, Little Caesars Arena now serves as an anchor for the development known as The District Detroit, and a cornerstone forthe resurgence of our city.Through unique relationships with local nonprofit organizations and Detroit-area businesses, nearly one thousand students participated in a pairof remarkable new events this season: STEM Day at Little Caesars Arena and the Road and Bicycle Safety Program, which resulted in more than600 bicycles and accompanying safety equipment elements donated to second grade students throughout Detroit Public Schools CommunityDistrict.Backed by the best fans, colleagues and stakeholders in the National Hockey League, the Red Wings represented more than $2.2 million incombined community support last season. • Nearly 50,000 elementary school students enjoyed free assemblies focused on motivational life skills and now have access to brand-new floor hockey equipment donated to each school • The first-ever Red Wings Play Zone was unveiled to provide young hospital patients and children of all abilities in Detroit an opportunity to play outdoors for many years to come • Much-needed financial support covered transportation costs for hundreds of metro Detroit cancer patients to and from their treatments • Tens of thousands of fans donated generously during the season in support of Red Wings community impact efforts by purchasing 50/50 Raffle tickets, bidding on online auctions or attending signature fundraising events held by the Detroit Red Wings FoundationOff the ice, Red Wings players and coaches were ever-present in caring for the community – a commitment that is part of our proud Hockeytown tradition.I invite you to look back at some of the amazing moments from this past season. COMMUNITY INVESTMENT The Detroit Red Wings are committed to strategically investing in Michigan communities. Whether through NHL initiatives aiming to eliminate barriers for individuals battling cancer, or donations benefiting a local cause, the Red Wings were pleased to represent more than $2.2 million in combined support for our community throughout the 2017-18 season.3

DETROIT RED WINGS IN TRAVERSE CITYFor the 19th consecutive year, the Red Wings called Traverse City home for Development Camp, the NHL Prospect Tournament and Training Camp,prior to the 2017-18 season.Each season, event proceeds, including the annual Training Camp Golf Classic and Red & White Game, benefit Involved Citizens Enterprises, thenonprofit organization which supports Centre Ice Arena and provides affordable skating programs in Northern Michigan. 4

MI WINGS COMMUNITY TOUR PRESENTED BY ITC The MI Wings Community Tour, presented by ITC, again brought Red Wings players into communities throughout Michigan to visit with fans and community members and generate excitement for the upcoming season. On September 13, 2017, the eighth annual tour delivered $14,000 in donations when it visited the Parade Company, worked with Humble Design to help furnish a Detroit home, dined at Friendship Circle’s Soul Cafe and learned about the Grand Traverse Watershed Center.5

MILITARY APPRECIATION PRESENTED BY BELFOR PROPERTY RESTORATIONThe Red Wings’ annual celebration of our local heroes continued throughout the Inaugural Season at Little Caesars Arena as 179 service memberswere honored at home games as part of the Military Welcome presented by BELFOR Property Restoration.During the ninth annual Military Appreciation Night, presented by BELFOR, on November 11, 2017, more than 100 active and former militarymembers enjoyed a VIP lunch and player meet & greet with Red Wings forward Justin Abdelkader before the game. Teaming up with Volunteers ofAmerica Michigan, the Red Wings contributed more than $14,000 to strengthen VOAM’s Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. 6

HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER Teaming with the American Cancer Society, the Red Wings hosted Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night at Little Caesars Arena on November 28, 2017. More than 100 cancer patients, survivors and caretakers were invited for an unforgettable VIP experience at Little Caesars Arena before taking in the game from the Michigan First Gondola. Through various in-arena and online fundraisers, Red Wings fans helped raise more than $27,000 for the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program, providing approximately 2,700 rides to and from treatment facilities for metro Detroit cancer patients.7

HOMETOWN HOLIDAY ASSIST PRESENTED BY MEIJEROn December 6, 2017, Red Wings players, Lady Wings members and Meijer provided the perfect holiday surprise for members of Detroit’s ClarkPark Polar Bears youth hockey team. After joining the Red Wings to select gifts for Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s SNOWPILE program, thechildren were surprised with their own Meijer shopping spree and brand-new hockey equipment.Each season, the Red Wings’ annual Hometown Holiday Assist culminates with a team visit to Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Coach Jeff Blashill, alongwith the entire team, delivered toys purchased during the Meijer shopping spree and spent the afternoon bringing cheer to patients at the hospital. 8

RED WINGS FOR RED KETTLES CAMPAIGN Red Wings alumni Kirk Maltby, Kris Draper and Chris Osgood joined Justin Abdelkader, Darren Helm, Tomas Tatar and Petr Mrazek, as well as broadcasters Ken Daniels, Ken Kal and Mickey Redmond throughout metro Detroit on December 8, 2017 to raise $16,237 during a two-hour span for The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. Since 2005, the Red Wings have raised more than $161,000 to locally benefit The Salvation Army. Funds raised during Red Wings for Red Kettles now support The Salvation Army’s STRIVE floor hockey program, bringing hockey opportunities to children across metro Detroit.9

HOCKEY IS FOR EVERYONEThe Red Wings believe Hockey is for Everyone. On the ice, in the stands and in the locker room, hockey welcomes all.Warrior Hockey kicked off Hockey is for Everyone Month in February by donating $12,000 of brand-new equipment to the Motor City Stars, a specialhockey organization based in Livonia, Michigan. Additionally, Red Wings defenseman Mike Green surprised a team of Special Olympics Michigan polyhockey athletes during the Kraft Hockeyville skills clinic at Meijer in Detroit.The Red Wings hosted Hockey is for Everyone Night at Little Caesars Arena on February 24, 2018 to celebrate inclusion in partnership withAffirmations, Clark Park Hockey, Grand Rapids Sled Wings, Michigan Senior Women’s Hockey League, Michigan Sled Dogs, Michigan WarriorHockey, Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality, Special Olympics Michigan, and You Can Play. 10

NHL GREEN MONTH PRESENTED BY DTE ENERGY The Red Wings are committed to improving hockey’s environmental impact and supporting a healthier planet. On March 8, 2018, the Red Wings celebrated NHL Green Month at Little Caesars Arena, presented by DTE Energy, encouraging fans to get involved and improve their environmental footprint. Through the MIGreenPower initiative, DTE Energy helped reduce the arena’s electricity carbon footprint by 223,680 pounds of CO2. Throughout March, the Red Wings continued to encourage Little Caesars Amateur Hockey teams to donate gently used hockey equipment at the BELFOR Training Center, in conjunction with the NHL’s Recycle the Game initiative as part of NHL Green Month. The Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment, in partnership with Delaware North Sportservice, also donated more than 17,000 pounds of prepared, untouched food to Forgotten Harvest from games and events at Little Caesars Arena during the 2017-18 season.11

RED WINGS PLAYER & COACH OUTREACHRed Wings players and coaches dedicated nearly 1,000 hours during the 2017-18 season toward supporting metro Detroit.Coach Jeff Blashill, as well as every player on the Red Wings’ roster, has volunteered to personally align with charitable endeavors that enrich thecommunity every day. Through game day ticket programs, meet & greets and personal fundraising, the Red Wings are committed to supporting our region. 12

LADY WINGS IN THE COMMUNITY The Lady Wings are a group of wives, fiancés and girlfriends of Red Wings players, coaches and front office staff which volunteers to participate in charitable functions and community service projects throughout metro Detroit. During the 2017-18 season, the Lady Wings provided support to a variety of organizations, including Humble Design, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Clark Park Coalition and the Children’s Center. One of the efforts involved Julie Abdelkader, Kennedy Braun, Brooke Markle, Devon Helm, Marie Poirier, and Paige Snyder delivering Love Your Melon beanies to young men and women battling cancer as part of the team’s Hockey Fights Cancer initiative.13

RED WINGS EXPERIENCE PRESENTED BY COCA-COLAThe Red Wings Experience, presented by Coca-Cola, was established as an opportunity to bring the excitement of Red Wings hockey to the community.Throughout the Inaugural Season at Little Caesars Arena, fans enjoyed the Red Wings Experience during dozens of events across Michigan. 14

CHARITABLE DONATIONS The Red Wings are proud to provide annual support to hundreds of nonprofit organizations throughout Michigan, as well as parts of Ohio and Canada. During the 2017-18 season, the Red Wings donated nearly 1,800 items to assist nonprofit organizations with fundraising efforts. In addition, Red Wings Season Ticket Holders donated more than $34,000 in game tickets to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit and the Veteran Tickets Foundation.15

WISHES & RED WINGS DREAM EXPERIENCES PRESENTED BY ST. JOE’SThroughout the 2017-18 season, the Detroit Red Wings and Saint Joseph Mercy Health System teamed up to provide fans young and old anopportunity to see their favorite team at Little Caesars Arena. In total, the team helped grant four youth Make-A-Wish experiences, as well asfive Red Wings Dream Experiences for adult patients from Saint Joseph Mercy Health System locations.At the end of the season, Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg and forward Luke Witkowski participated in the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s#ArmWrestleChallenge against wish recipient, Lucas. On behalf of Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, the Red Wings donated $5,000 to theMake-A-Wish Foundation to grant future wishes in Michigan. 16

CHEVROLET & DETROIT RED WINGS COMMUNITY IMPACT STEM DAY AT LITTLE CAESARS ARENA More than 300 students and educators from 10 Detroit public schools experienced STEM Day at Little Caesars Arena on February 5, 2018. Presented by Chevrolet, STEM Day celebrated and rewarded students for their participation in the Future Goals - Hockey Scholar™ program, a hockey-themed educational course designed to enable elementary and middle school students to develop important science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills and understand the real-world application of these disciplines. On behalf of Chevrolet, the Red Wings donated $30,000 to Detroit Public Schools Foundation to purchase STEM technology equipment for each school.17

ROAD & BICYCLE SAFETY PROGRAMDuring the 2017-18 season, the Red Wings and Chevrolet teamed up to present the groundbreaking Road & Bicycle Safety Program for second-grade students across Detroit Public Schools Community District. Ten elementary schools received in-depth multi-week curricula focusedon teaching students how to ride a bicycle safely. In addition to educational elements, each school received demonstration bicycles and safetyequipment to enhance learning opportunities.On May 22, 2018, nearly 500 second-grade students were surprised with brand-new bicycles, helmets, locks and bells at Little Caesars Arena, inconjunction with a donation to the Detroit Public Schools Foundation. More than 100 volunteers from the Red Wings and Chevrolet supported thiseffort to encourage an active lifestyle. 18

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT The Detroit Red Wings provide unique opportunities for young people that are designed for development and fun. Harnessing the power of hockey to support our community, the Red Wings interacted with more than 67,000 children during the 2017-18 season, supporting the next generation of Red Wings players and fans.19

ACADEMICS THROUGH HOCKEYRED WINGS FOR READING PRESENTED BY MICHIGAN EDUCATION SAVINGS PROGRAMFor the sixth consecutive season, Red Wings forward Justin Abdelkader joined Michigan Education Savings Program to present the Red Wings forReading program, which encourages elementary school students to read for fun outside the classroom. More than 1,000 students from 200-pluselementary schools across Michigan participated in 2017-18.Students from Drummond Island Elementary in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula submitted the highest percentage of program entries during theInaugural Season at Little Caesars Arena, earning a $2,500 school library upgrade and the opportunity to visit the Red Wings’ arena and haveAbdelkader read to the winning students in the Wings’ locker room. 20

DETROIT RED WINGS SCHOOL ASSEMBLY PROGRAM PRESENTED BY MESP & ST. JOE’S For the eighth consecutive season, the Detroit Red Wings School Assembly Program introduced the sport of hockey to nearly 50,000 students across 113 elementary schools. Partnering with the Michigan Education Savings Program and Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, the School Assembly Program also encourages students to live a healthy and active lifestyle and educates students on saving money for college and the importance of respecting each other. Since 2010, the high-energy School Assembly Team has delivered its message to nearly 800 schools, reaching more than 300,000 students. In addition to the valuable lessons, each school receives two full sets of Red Wings-branded floor hockey equipment and every student receives an educational Red Wings folder, information for parents on college savings strategies and a healthy eating cookbook.21

Created in2014 by the NHL and NHLPA to spark elementary and middle school student interests in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), FutureGoals utilizes the sport of hockey to provide real-world applications of both STEM concepts and career opportunities.Since inception, the Future Goals program has reached more than 58,800 students across Michigan. 22

TAKE A RED WING TO SCHOOL PRESENTED BY NATIONAL CONEY ISLAND On March 19, 2018, Red Wings forward Luke Witkowski visited Spain Elementary School in Detroit, MI and Keller Elementary School in Royal Oak, MI for National Coney Island’s Take A Red Wing to School contest. More than 150 students from throughout Michigan entered to win the experience. At each winning school, Witkowski spent the day speaking about the importance of education, as well as delivering Red Wings merchandise and signing autographs for each student.23

HOCKEY INTRODUCTION & EDUCATION STREET HOCKEY SUMMER TOUR PRESENTED BY MEIJER In July 2017, the Red Wings and Meijer presented the 2nd annual Street Hockey Summer Tour, which provided free hockey clinics for children ages 7-12 in Meijer parking lots throughout Michigan. Almost 800 enthusiastic children participated in 10 cities across the state including East Lansing, Flint, Canton and Detroit.25

DETROIT RED WINGS YOUTH HOCKEY CAMPThe annual Red Wings Youth Hockey Camp returned to Joe Louis Arena for the final time in August 2017, giving 300 aspiring hockey players ages6-16 the opportunity to receive instruction from current Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi, former Red Wings Riley Sheahan and Xavier Ouellet, aswell as Wings prospect Vili Saarijarvi and four-time Stanley Cup champion Kirk Maltby and Red Wings assistant coaches. 26

LITTLE WINGS LEARN TO PLAY PROGRAM The Little Wings Learn to Play program, which returned in 2017-18, provided more than 550 children ages 5-8 with six one-hour sessions of on-ice instruction and a full set of Little Wings-branded hockey equipment for an affordable cost. Established with assistance from USA Hockey and Hockey Canada experts, the Learn to Play program strives to be the gold standard for youth hockey programs, hoping to inspire more families to join the hockey community.27

THE SALVATION ARMY STRIVE FLOOR HOCKEY PROGRAMReintroduced by the Red Wings and The Salvation Army in 2017, the STRIVE (Student Training for Integrity, Vitality and Education) Floor HockeyProgram taught the basics of the sport of hockey, team building skills and positive sportsmanship behavior to more than 70 children and 11 coachesat five Salvation Army recreation centers across metro Detroit. 28

DETROIT RED WINGS FOUNDATION During the 2017-18 season, the Detroit Red Wings Foundation proudly supported more than 50 organizations across the state of Michigan. Through impactful programming and unique fundraising efforts, the Detroit Red Wings Foundation remained steadfast in caring for our community.29

SUPPORTED PROGRAMSUSA HOCKEY SLED CLASSICThe eighth annual USA Hockey Sled Classic took place November 16-19, 2017 in Plymouth, Minnesota, featuring a record 28 teams, including asquad of Red Wings representatives from all over the state of Michigan.Supported by the Detroit Red Wings Foundation, players from the Detroit area-based Michigan Sled Dogs and the Grand Rapids-based Sled Wingsjoined forces for the annual competition, earning their way to the Tier III semifinals. 30

MICHIGAN AMATEUR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE PROGRAM The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association provided 54 Try Hockey for Free clinics for more than 2,250 children ages 4-9 throughout Michigan in 2017-18 with the support from the Detroit Red Wings Foundation. The program introduces children to the basic hockey skills of skating, puck handling and shooting through complimentary, one-hour clinics with the goal of growing the sport of hockey in Michigan.31

RED WINGS WISH CLUB PRESENTED BY CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF MICHIGAN FOUNDATIONThe Detroit Red Wings Foundation partnered with the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation to offer the Red Wings Wish Club at Little CaesarsArena. For a monetary donation, fans had their birthday, anniversary, graduation wish or marriage proposal displayed on the world’s largestseamless center-hung video board.On April 25, 2018, the Detroit Red Wings and Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation unveiled a 1,700-square-foot Red Wings Play Zone atChildren’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. The Red Wings Play Zone, which features an eight-foot-tall “Al the Octopus” sensory structure, was madepossible through the Red Wings Wish Club. 32

LITTLE CAESARS AMATEUR HOCKEY LEAGUE 8U MITE LEAGUE The Detroit Red Wings Foundation joined forces with the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League and the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association in 2017-18 to create an open 8U fall hockey program that took place at the BELFOR Training Center inside Little Caesars Arena. The grassroots program formed 16 new teams for a full 19-week hockey season from September 2017 through March 2018, creating an opportunity for players to participate in a program that fully incorporates USA Hockey’s Adult Development Model by providing an age-appropriate playing structure for our sport’s youngest athletes.33

SIGNATURE FUNDRAISERSMOTORCITY CASINO HOTEL’S ANNUAL RED WINGS CHARITY POKER TOURNAMENTOn November 27, 2017, fans went head to head with Red Wings players and alumni at MotorCity Casino Hotel’s annual Red Wings Charity PokerTournament, benefiting the Detroit Red Wings Foundation.The 108 participants joined 12 current and former Red Wings players for a silent auction and strolling dinner reception at MotorCity Casino Hotelbefore taking their shot at the $5,000 grand prize in the Texas Hold ‘Em tournament. 34

TOAST OF HOCKEYTOWN The Detroit Red Wings Foundation’s 18th annual Toast of Hockeytown was held at Little Caesars Arena for the first time on January 18, 2018. The event provided guests with unparalleled access to Red Wings players, local culinary delights and craft beverages while raising significant funds to benefit the Detroit Red Wings Foundation. The Toast of Hockeytown, which is the Detroit Red Wings Foundation’s premier fundraiser each season, featured live music, more than 50 different wine selections, culinary samples from several local restaurants, silent and live auctions and more.35

TIM HORTONS “I LOVE THE RED WINGS” DONUTSOne of the team’s most beloved annual fundraisers returned in 2018 as the Tim Hortons “I Love the Red Wings” Donuts were offered for sale atparticipating Michigan restaurants from March 16 - April 1, 2018. Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin helped promote the special-edition donut byserving guests at a Tim Hortons restaurant in Detroit. The annual two-week sale resulted in Tim Hortons donating thousands of dollars in proceedsto support the Detroit Red Wings Foundation. 36

PAINT THE ICE EVENT In celebration of the Inaugural Season at Little Caesars Arena, the Detroit Red Wings Foundation hosted its Paint the Ice event on April 26, 2018. The family friendly event gave fans of all ages a chance to paint a personal message or work of art on the ice surface of the Red Wings’ new arena. More than 600 Red Wings fans, young and old, participated in the event to cap off the team’s first season at Little Caesars Arena.37

After each raffle, one lucky fan wins 50 percent of the proceeds, while a portion of theremaining proceeds benefit the partner charity, the Detroit Red Wings Foundation and Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League.During the 2017-18 season, the 50/50 Raffle raised more than $700,000 for the Detroit Red Wings Foundation, Little Caesars Amateur HockeyLeague and nonprofit organizations in Michigan. 38

AUTOGRAPHS FOR A CAUSE Autographs for a Cause supports charitable organizations close to the hearts of Red Wings players, in partnership with the Detroit Red Wings Foundation. Through this program, fans are invited to send hockey cards and/or photos for Red Wings players to autograph in exchange for a donation to benefit the player’s charity of choice. During the 2017-18 season, every Red Wings player participated in the program and helped raise over $11,000 for nonprofit organizations throughout the state of Michigan.39

THE DISTRICT DETROIT Anchored by the world-class Little Caesars Arena, The District Detroit is a principal catalyst of Detroit’s remarkable resurgence. It’s a dynamic urban destination in the heart of Detroit that’s also supporting the local community. Some of these contributions include donations to Mariner’s Inn, the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries and distribution of complimentary tickets for youth groups as well as many others. For the third consecutive year, local Cass Tech High School students took part in a 10-week paid internship with Ilitch companies. They received hands-on work opportunities and experience, learning new skills and information about different jobs and career fields at companies like Little Caesars, the Detroit Tigers and Olympia Entertainment. Public art is integral to the transformative effort of The District Detroit. Olympia Development of Michigan and Ilitch Charities committed $800,000 to fund an innovative art program at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit to produce Detroit-inspired outdoor artwork created by college and high school students that will be showcased throughout the streets of The District Detroit. In 2017-18, approximately 500 Ilitch company colleagues contributed more than 2,500 volunteer hours and supported activities like the city of Detroit’s Motor City Makeover and Adopt-A-Park program, where Ilitch companies staff, families, friends and local church members joined in the city’s beautification efforts by clearing branches, debris and trash from Cass Park, a historic jewel located just a block away from Little Caesars Arena.41
