OUR MISSION: The Detroit Red Wings are committed to enhancing lives throughthe power of hockey with a focus on community investment and youth development.

To our dedicated fans,Thank you for your continued support of the Detroit Red Wings.Success on the ice is the No. 1 priority of our organization, but our players, staff and management also hold themselves to anequally high standard of excellence off the ice. That high standard began with our beloved owner, Mike Ilitch, who sadly passed away on Feb. 10, 2017 at the age of 87. Mr.Ilitch was a champion for his hometown of Detroit. He poured his heart into supporting the city, and his integral contributionwill never be forgotten.Over the years, the Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment have strengthened the local community through positive outreachwith enrichment projects, education initiatives, charitable donations and more. Our tradition of giving back continued to grow during the 2016-17 season. As we bid a fond farewell to Joe Louis Arena, ourorganization supported various causes that personally affected individuals throughout metro Detroit.Whether the team was sharing an uplifting moment with a hospital patient, encouraging children to live a healthy lifestyle orintroducing the next generation to the game of hockey, the Red Wings remained committed to supporting our hometown.Meanwhile, the Detroit Red Wings Foundation continued to invest in the future of our community by providing funds andresources to causes that contribute to the growth of the sport of hockey.Signature initiatives like the Red Wings School Assembly Program introduced nearly 50,000 students to the sport of hockey, the importance of education and the benefits of living a healthy, active lifestyle. And the Toast of Hockeytown continued to offerRed Wings fans an unparalleled opportunity to mingle with their favorite players and coaches, while raising significant funds tosupport the cause. As we look to the future at Little Caesars Arena, our organization is excited about a new world of opportunities within TheDistrict Detroit to continue bolstering our commitment to the community.I hope you enjoy looking back on our 2016-17 community initiatives, and thank you again for your tremendous support of theDetroit Red Wings organization.Sincerely,Tom WilsonPresident & CEOOlympia Entertainment
