Tomasz BerentProfessor of Warsaw School of EconomicsHe has extensive experience gained working in the capitalmarket (1995-2001). Director of the Department of Analysisand strategist. Emerging markets foreign investment banksin Warsaw (1995-1997) and in London (1997-2001).Highlighted in national and international rankings of analysts,author of over 100 analytical reports on the stock market,responsible for contacts with the managers of the largestinvestment funds in the world in the US, UK and Europe;regular meetings of the boards of listed companies in emergingmarkets.



Grzegorz NawrockiVice-president of the British Alumni SocietyStudies at the Cambridge University and completed studies atthe Preston University of Central Lancashire, JagiellonianUniversity and University of Warsaw as well.He has been working as a journalist for British and Polishmedia (i. e. BBC, TVP) since 1990. Concerned about thedevelopment of civil society in Poland, he was a co-organiserof Oxford Debates.



Rafał ZakrzewskiCounsel at Clifford ChanceBanking and finance are his area as a counsel at Clifford Chance.He specialises in English corporate and commercial law andhas significant experience of mergers and acquisitions,joint ventures and key English law governed commercialagreements in various industry sectors. Rafal teaches English lawat Cambridge University as an Affiliated Lecturer.He has published extensively on commercial contract law, and hiswork has been cited by English courts. He honed his legal draftingskills at the Parliamentary Counsel Office in London preparingUK legislation. He completed studies at the University ofQueensland and graduated with a Ph.D at the University of Oxford.



Steve TerretCounsel at SSW, director and lecturer at the British Law CentreHe directs British Law Centre - a joint academic venturebetween an English educational charity Juris Angliae Scientia,the University of Cambridge and the University of Warsaw.Prior to joining the SSW team he was a legal advisor to a numberof international law firms in Warsaw and worked in the PolishConstitutional Tribunal.He specializes in corporate law, restructuring proceedings,insolvency and administration proceedings.



Marcin SzalaMember of the board at UWC PolskaGraduated in physics and philosophy from the University ofOxford. Served as a president of Oxford Polish Association.Currently a member of Collegium Wratislaviense tacklingtraining courses indicated for education sector.

Jarosław PączekGraduated from the Jagiellonian University in Cracow andsubsequently attended Harvard Business School andDePaul University in Chicago. He began his career as alawyer in 1995 with law firm Hogan & Hartson, working intheir office in Warsaw, and has also practised with Feugueret Associés in Paris. In 1997 Mr Paczek joined ERA GSM,as a Deputy General Director.For the last ten years, Mr. Pączek has worked with theKulczyk Group, the largest private equity fund in Poland.Since 2006, Mr. Pączek has lived in London, developing aportfolio of oil, gas and mineral investments.



Kinga StanisławskaManaging Partner and Founder of Experior Venture FundKinga is Managing Partner and Founder of Experior VentureFund (EVF). Kinga has been working in private equity/venturecapital and finance for the past 17 years. She is the Vice Presidentof the Management Board of the Polish Private Equity Assocaition(PSIK). She sits on the supervisory boards of XTRF ManagementSystems, Tourmedica, iTaxi and WeGirls. Prior to EVF, shewas the Global Head of TMT at Raiffeisen Investment in Vienna.She started her career in banking at Salomon Smith Barney(Citigroup, London) and followed on to Equity Capital Marketsat ING Barings, with responsibility for the EMEA region.In 2001-2007 she was a Principal Banker at European Bankfor Reconstruction and Development (London and Warsaw),where she led investment and financing projects across theTMT and infrastructure sectors. She was responsible for supervisingselected assets of EBRD’s equity portfolio. She is active insupporting women led companies – Kinga is a mentor inVital Voices and Foundation for Women Entrepreneurship.She is also on the board of the WeGirls Foundation. 



Marcin Wojtysiak-KotlarskiProfessor of Warsaw School of EconomicsMarcin Wojtysiak-Kotlarski has multidisciplinary academicfocus and very diverse business experience. He has beeninvolved for many years now in research, teaching and consultancyrelated to how companies - both small start-ups andwell-established transnational corporations - competein the global economy.Founder of \"Start-up Inspiration Lab\" at SGH WarsawSchool of Economics. Entrepreneurship enthusiast,experienced mentor and advisor to start-ups.

Michael DembinskiChief Advisor for British Polish Chamber of CommerceGraduate of the University of Warwick and The City Universityin London in journalism. Worked for 16 years at the Confederationof British Industry (nine years running CBI News). Moved toPoland in 1997, was communications director at Polska TelewizjaKablowa (today UPC Polska), then managing director ofTrader.com Polska (today part of Agora S.A.). For his part incampaign organised by Federation of Poles in the UK tobring about visa-free travel between UK and Poland Michaelwas award the Order Zaslugi. Chief advisor to the BritishPolish Chamber of Commerce since 2002. Michael is oftenpresent at Polish business networking events across the UK.



Marek MatraszekCEC’s Founding PartnerMarek Matraszek specialises in designing and implementingstrategic communications and lobbying campaigns for major US,UKand European multinationals in Poland, and advising on their politicalstrategy in the Central European region as a whole. He hasa special expertise in defence, aviation and energy, and currentlyadvises Lockheed Martin, and a number of other Western defen-ce companies, in Poland. He has also written widely on Polish andinternational affairs for publications such as Poland Monthly,Warsaw Business Journal, The Spectator and Wall Street Jour-nal Europe. Piotr JanczakGeneral Manager Poland, Moody’sPiotr Janczak is the Director of the National Moody's InvestorsService in Poland. He directs from office in Warsaw, the Agency'sactivities in Poland and oversees the development of the offerMoody Capital markets in Poland, as well as in the key countriesof Central and Eastern Europe.Piotr Janczak has more than 20 years of experience in themarkets for equity and debt Capital CEE.He passed to Moody's Investors Service from the Erste GroupBank AG in Prague, where he was director of the Departmentof Investment Banking. Previously he headed the Departmentof Capital Markets group Deutsche Bank in Warsaw.



Stanisław KomorowskiLawyer in the New York office of the law firm Cytowski & PartnersStanislaw is a managing associate in Cytowski & Partner’sNew York office. He graduated with honors from WarsawUniversity and obtained his Master in Laws degree fromthe New York University School of Law where he servedas a Graduate Editor of the Business & Law Journal. Prior tojoining Cytowski & Partners, Stanislaw worked in the bankruptcydivision of Dentons in Poland. Stanislaw advises Americanand European high-tech companies on legal aspects pertinentto their business, including cross-border equity and debtfinancings in particular. Marcin MajewskiFounder of Aventis CapitalMarcin Majewski is the founder  and  managing director ofAventis Capital, an M&A advisory firm based in Warsaw.For over 10 years he has been active in mergers and acquisitionsand corporate finance. His areas expertise are primarily in thehigh-tech sector, business services, manufacturing, anddistribution. During his career he has advised dozens ofentrepreneurs and investors. Mariusz SzmigielVice President at Barclays Group StrategyHe is a Vice President at Barclays Group Strategy focusingon Corporate and Investment Banking. Prior to this heworked at Deloitte, The Boston Consulting Group andRBS Markets & International Banking. He graduated withan MPhil from Imperial College London where he co-foundedImperial College Algorithmic Trading Group - biggeststudent led UK algorithmic trading start-up at the time.He also got an MSc from the University of Waterloo and aFirst Class BSc from the University of Edinburgh.
