My dear Sisters, Warm greetings and blessings! India is once again engulfed in the 2nd deadliest wave of COVID 19. The sudden spike in cases has cringed the nation’s health care system. With no hospital beds, no oxygen, no medicines and sudden deaths on the rise, there is a frantic atmosphere of fear and uncertainty looming over. The second wave of COVID19 has caused destruction more than anyone would have predicted. Not just we have surpassed our number of affected four times than the first wave but also the number of deaths due to the pandemic has also increased exponentially. As we are aware that few of our sisters were also tested positive and had recovered from the pandemic. It calls for a responsible and prudent way of going about our life and mission. I thank each of you for your prayerful support and providing assistance as and when required. Proud Past, strong future… The Platinum Jubilee of the Ancillae will be concluded on 4th July 2021, in the present situation even though we cannot have celebration, let us be united spiritually and celebrate it. matters… 1. Gisel Chacko has been appointed as the Secretary to the Director, Establishment Officer and PME Coordinator at NEDSF (North Eastern Diocesan Social Forum), Guwahati, since April 2021 and the Ancillae Family wishes God’s blessings upon her. 2. Taking into consideration the constrains imposed by the Covid 19 lock down the final profession of Anie Jose was held on 7th May 2021 at Jyothi Bhavan, Moolamattom and the main celebrant was Fr Dr.ThomasVazhacharickal. The entire program was live streamed to enable all the members of the Ancillae family to participate in it. 3. Silver &Golden Jubilee: Due to the surging of COVID19 cases, the proposed jubilee celebrations have been postponed. The new date will be decided later based on the situation. 4. Fr.Dr.Thomas Vazhacharikal has agreed to be the Spiritual Father of Ancillae for the tenure of 2021-2025. He can be contacted at 9747252227/ 9620190088 for personal guidance. 5. An Introductory Session by the Spiritual Father had been conducted on 13th May 2021 and, till October 2021, 13th of every month will be the day of recollection talk which will be conducted bilingually for all the members of the institute. 7 Ancillae News Bulletin, June 2021

6. Claramma Cyriac had resigned from Sivanda Rehabilitation Home, Kukatpally, after her 12 years of dedicated service and is staying at Radlmair Bhavan, Secunderabad. The Ancillae family wishes her a happy retired life. 7. A session on “Release the Power Within” was conducted for the members on 28th May 2021 by Rev.Fr. Zacharias Neelankavil. 8. First meeting of the Group leaders was conducted on 1st June 2021 with the objective of enhancing the second line leadership in the region. 9. Elizabeth Kallidukkil, Rosamma Thomas, Theresa Marottikuzhy, Thangamma Abraham and Mercy Kurian had celebrated their 80th, 75th, 60th and 50th birthdays respectively. 10. Ancillae Mayanad started a short-term course in Tiyara making, churidar making etc., for children and women. 11. Madonna Bhavan organized a 10-days course in dress making which in turn received a very good response from the neighboring communities. 12. Ancillae Shillong community was actively involved in the Covid 19 relief works by providing food grains, health kits and educational materials for the children and their families. 8 Ancillae News Bulletin, June 2021

13. Gracy Vanchipurackal had completed a 49 Days ‘Life in the Spirit’ Online course, organized by the Diocese of Pala. 14. Special thanks to BrigithammaVarkey for translating both prayers, Consecration to the Heart of Jesus and Intercession to Mary Mother of Divine Heart in English which will be soon made available in hard copy for our private circulation. 15. The repairing and maintenance work of Ancillae Bhavan is almost getting completed. 16. Pauline Joseph and Liza Joseph are invited by Helga Gaberle to Rostock, Germany as Guests to celebrate the 20 years of sponsorship with India on 25 & 26 September 2021. 17. The Platinum Jubilee celebration of Ancillae is scheduled to be on 8/10/2021 at Benediktbeuern. The General councillors Marykutty Michael, Thangamma Abraham and Liza Jose will be attending the same. 18. A gentle reminder about the COVID vaccination which has to be taken by all the members as per the Govt. protocols. 19. The 8th death anniversary of Aniamma Thomas was commemorated on 30th June 2021. 20. New Appointments 1) Rosily Kuriakose is appointed as the Group Leader at Don Bosco Hostel Community, Guwahati from 1st June 2021. 2) Sindhu Zacharias is transferred to Shanthi Nivas, Bangalore, as the Administrative Staff of the St. Peter’s Pontifical Seminary from 1st week of July 2021. 3) Thangamma Abraham is appointed as the Group Leader of the Madonna Bhavan, Pulluvila, joining by the 1st week of July 2021. 4) Gracy Vanchipurackal is transferred to Ancillae Bhavan, Thiruvampady, joining by mid of July 2021. She will be assisting in the Family Apostolate of the parish of the parish. 5) Beena Joseph will be joining an Eight-month Spiritual Renewal Program commencing on 1-08-2021, at Ryshivana, Mangalore. 6) Claramma Cyriac is transferred to Ancillae Bhavan, Thiruvampady by the mid of September 2021. Emmanuel Varikkamakkal had lost his beloved mother Mrs. Annamma Kurian on 23/5/2021. • Sr. Dennis Pookkatt SABS, Anice’s niece called to eternal rest on 31/5/21. • Manisha Merwein’s father Mr. Anjelus K Bani was called to eternal rest on7/6/2021 “Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let your perpetual light shine on them. May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen”. Dear sisters, in this time of pandemic, let us celebrate the foundation day of our Institute in simplicity and depth by imbibing the spirit of Mother Maria Radlmair who gave up her life joyfully for the cause of the Gospel.
