IN MEMORIAM BILL WITTLIFF 1940-2019 The Wittliff Collections lost a treasure when Bill Wittliff passed away on June 9, 2019. Thirty-three years ago, in 1986, Bill and his wife, Sally, founded The Wittliff Collections at Texas State University and started us on a path that has no end. We are privileged to continue collecting, preserving, and sharing the rich cultural heritage of the unbridled Southwest through photography, literature, music, and film. The Wittliff Collections Festival will be a celebration of Bill’s vision and a time to honor his legacy. Photo by Ted Albracht, 2000 9
