Coach Keith's Aus n Cooper is a special young man. I knew it from the thoughts on Aus n: day I first met him during his freshman year. He bleeds passion for everything he does. He is well respected by anyone he comes in contact with and I feel very lucky to have been a part of his life these past four years. Through all he has dealt with this year, he s ll finds a way to be posi ve and a great influence on others. I will miss our conversa ons and arguments on the ice. Coach Keith's Coaching Riley Doyle has been a great experience for me. thoughts on Riley: I have a certain apprecia on for a player like Riley, who like myself, played on two teams throughout high school. Over the past year I have been lucky to witness the growth of a tremendous young man on and off the ice. Riley wants to win, he's a great compe tor. For Riley, the ceiling is where he sets it. All that said, the most impres- sive thing about Riley is his ability to balance two teams and a high school life while maintaining excellent grades.

Coach Keith's If I am talking with young Wheaton West hockey player, thoughts on Jack: Jack is the type of person I want them to emulate. He is hands down the most modest and caring young man I have met. You would never know that Jack ac vely vol- unteers his me, is on na onal honor society, and plays two varsity sports all while taking several AP classes. I am extremely proud of JD, but in all honesty, I am the lucky one as this kid has changed my perspec ve on what is truly important in life.

Coach Keith's The easiest way for me to describe Luke is that he is car-thoughts on Luke: ing, compassionate, determined, and funny. All traits of a true hockey player. He cares about every li le thing that happens to his team and he is right there when we the team needs something to pick us up. Luke has learned how to be a leader, a good teammate, and a true friend. I couldn't have asked anything more from this kid as he pours his heart on the ice every game.

Coach Keith's Micah Hauke's game has transformed into something thoughts on Micah: miraculous the last few years. Joining a full organized hockey team is never an easy adjustment, but like any- thing with Micah, the challenge is just the beginning. His journey has been unlike anything I have seen as he now leads this team and is a great role model to all hockey players. There is never enough ice me for Micah. I know Micah will be successful in wherever his path leads him. It has truly been a joy to watch and his brother will have a lot to live up to.

He wants to major in history and play recrea onal hockey. Coach Keith's I truly do not think people understand the progress Alex thoughts on Alex: Kerr has shown Wheaton West the last four years. He has been a dedicated teammate while being dedicated to the game of hockey. He truly is a student of the game. I have seen Alex do things on the ice this year that I would have never expected a er his first year of hockey. That tells me all I need to know about Alex. No ma er what stands in his way, he is ready for the next step, the next chapter. His maturity is something I greatly appreciate and he has made for a great leader for our program.

Watching this kid grow into the young man he is today is something I am so grateful to have been a part of. I will miss his on the ice play, are subtle dry jokes, but most importantly, I will miss Chris an because what we have shared over the past 4 years.

There is nothing that makes me happier than to see a player work hard for something he desires. Marshall is not just a hockey player, he is a great young man, a talented musi- cian, and the best teammate anyone could ask for.

It has been great to watch this young man grow (height and maturity!). He has been one of the most re- cep ve young men I have had the pleasure to coach. Some people are des ne for great things and I truly believe Jacob's leadership will take him great places.

Favorite Hockey Playing in the S ck tournament in Port Huron, MI with Experience: the Chicago Bruins Bantam Minor team. Fun Fact: Sco started playing roller hockey at age 3 and made the switch to the ice when he was a Squirt. Sco is pre y handy and enjoys working on his car. He also enjoys boa ng and fishing. His favorite TV shows are Homeland and The Walking Dead. Most memorable When Coach Keith yelled up into the stands at some crazy quote from high school hockey parents then mumbled ”I will blanking end you” hockey coach:Future Plans: Sco plans on going to COD for two years then transfer- ring out to major in Architecture. Coach Keith's During Sco 's sophomore year we were lucky enough to thoughts on Sco : have him join Wheaton West. Nothing could stop him that season as he dominated and quickly gained the respect of his teammates by his ac ons. Sco is a very driven person, so spoken, but his character says more than any words can. Something about me always has a so spot for the small, fast skaters who can shoot the puck with the best of them. I'm an not sure Wheaton West will be capable of filling the void Sco Olson will leave, on and off the ice.
2014-2015 Coaching Staff Keith Fahrforth - Hockey Director, Varsity Head Coach Keith grew up in Wheaton and Winfield a ending Wheaton North High School. He played his youth hockey for the Glen Ellyn Flames from mites through midg-ets including several Blackhawk Cup and Central States Championships. While in high school, Keith played for Wheaton West Hockey Club where he had a very successful career including a selec on to the 2005 Illinois High School All State Team. Keith a ended St. Mary's University of Minnesota to pursue playing colle-giate hockey and golf. He graduated in 2009 with a BA in Biology and a minor in Mathema cs. In 2010, Keith earned a masters degree in secondary educa on. Keith has taught at West Chicago Community High School and Wheaton-Warrenville South High School. This will be Keith's 5th year with Wheaton West; his 2nd as the Varsity Head Coach /Hockey Director. Michael Scheffler - Varsity Assistant Coach Michael is a Wheaton North alum who grew up playing youth hockey in Illi-nois. While in high school he skated for Wheaton West while also playing for the Cyclones and Sabres. A er gradua on he a ended University of Wisconsin Pla eville where he con nued his hockey career. Michael transferred to North-ern Illinois University where he graduated with a major in Interna onal Poli cs and a minor in Southeast Asian studies. While at NIU he was honored with the opportunity to study poli cal anthropology in Thailand. A er gradua on Mi-chael interned at a U.S. Senators office before working on a State Representa- ves reelec on campaign. He began coaching with the Chicago Bruins bantam gold team in 2012 where he s ll is coaching. He started coaching at Wheaton West in 2013. Bob Dore - Junior Varsity Head Coach Bob started playing hockey at the age of six for the Elmhurst Huskies. He grew up in the Downers Grove area and has played with the Chicago Minor Hawks, the Chicago Flames AAA, and the Aus n Mavericks of the USHL. His coaching resume is impressive and includes the Chicago Young Americans, Glen Ellyn Flames, and most recently the Chicago Bruins. 2014-2015 will be Bob's first year as the Head Coach of the Wheaton West Junior Varsity team. Mike Dwyer - Junior Varsity Assistant Coach & Goalie Coach Mike grew up playing goalie with the Downers Grove Huskies, later to the Na-perville Sabres, and eventually playing with Hinsdale Central High School. Mike was the first Hinsdale Central hockey player to achieve the AHAI All-State Team Selec on award, which was not repeated by another Hinsdale Central player un l 13 years later. Mike also led Hinsdale Central to 3 Cougar Cup champ on-ships during his tenure. A er gradua on, Mike played one season with Iowa State before taking a break to finish with his studies. He graduated with a major in Management Informa on Systems from Iowa State and later con nued to get a degree in Automa on/Robo cs. Mike has spent the last few years coaching goalies with the Chicago Bruins from ages 4-18, boys and girls, including his own 7 year old son. Mike takes a very personal approach to coaching and doesn't believe in the \"one size fits all\" mentality for goalies. This has been Mike's first year on the Wheaton West coaching staff.
