CHRISTIAN PATHWAYS ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL Sunday Mornings September 13 – November 22 • 10:00 am • The Internet via ZOOM The Christian Pathways adult Sunday School class seeks to teach and nurture spiritual formation through creative learning and fellowship. Participants discuss the fundamentals of Christian faith at the intersection of word and action. Lessons and activities are designed to inspire students to raise questions and encourage involvement in the various ministries of the church. PEACHING SERIES: WADE IN THE WATER Sunday Mornings September 13, 20, 27 • 10:00 am • The Internet via ZOOM Using the book of Exodus in the Hebrew Bible, this series examines the Hebrew people rejoicing with Miriam as she sings, the wanderings of despairing Israelites in the desert, and the complaints the Israelites had for God. MUSIC AT MIDDAY Fridays September 18 – December 18 • 12:15 pm • The Sanctuary (Socially distanced) Performers in our concert series make the pipe organ come alive and opens your eyes to the amazing world of the King of Instruments. Come surround yourself with the instrument’s 7,000 pipes and hear the ROAR that Washington D.C.’s third-largest pipe organ makes in this reverberant space. You’ll experience the organ’s MAGIC, power, and versatility, the MYSTERY of the organ’s unique sounds, the exciting MUSIC of the great composers for the pipe organ, and a fascinating fully hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind musical MACHINE that incorporates wood working, metal-smithing, electricity and electronics, computer technology, physics, acoustics, and a lot of other scientific and musical know-how.

HOLLERTOWN: BLUEGRASS ON THE STEPS Saturday September 26 • 5:00 pm • National City Steps and Thomas Circle Enjoy live Bluegrass music with members of National City and the surrounding community. For over 10 years, Hollertown has played everything from haunting originals to old- timey standards to tunes by Mötley Crüe, Bob Marley, and the Texas Tornados. Come out and enjoy the fun while remaining social distanced. BLESSING OF THE PETS Saturday October 3 • 11:00 am • National City Steps In remembrance of God’s love for all sentient beings, animals will be blessed in thanks for the love and companionship they bring into the lives of their human guardians. Prayer will also be available for homo sapiens.
