FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS Fundamental rights are those sections of the Constitution Of India that provide peole with their basic rights. The 6 major fundamental rights in India are: • Right to equality • Right to freedom • Right against exploitation • Right to freedom of press, cultural and educational rights. • Right to Constitutional Remedies These are basic guarantees for the common people which form the very foundation of Democracy.

UNITY IN DIVERSITY Unity is the sense or state of not being multiple ; The sense of considering everyone as one,single,whole. In the words of first PM late Shri Jawaharlal Nehru, the diversity of India is tremendous;it lies on the surface and anybody can see it. Though there are tons of differences among us Indians, there is no mistaking the impress of India. WHAT IS UNITY? To investigate the failure of duties on the part of any public official in preventing the violation of human rights. To intervene in any judicial proceedings involving any allegation of violation of human rights. To review the safeguards provided under the constitution or any law for the protection of the human rights and to recommend appropriate remedial measures. To undertake and promote research in the field of human rights. To encourage the efforts of the non- governmental organisations working in the field of human rights. To review all facts related to the activities of the terrorists which obstruct the way of the Protection of human rights .
