If we are going to have a walk in Gods Spirit then we will have to walk inagreement with who he is and his ways of walking. Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? This is such a simple statement with great depth of truth. Agreement is thebinding walk of unity that empowers the Holy Spirits life to be made manifest throughours. Have you ever taken the time to think about what that walk would look like? Toooften people are quick to say yes I want that from God when they have never imaginedexactly what they desire to agree with. How do you see a walk of agreement with Gods Spirit? Is he doing what you onlyare believing for or are you doing what he desires as well? Who is the leading will in therelationship. We are quick to say He is but is that the truth of the matter. What does itlook like to have him lead. Take a little time and use your imagination for a moment. Think about what Hisleading looks like in your life. There are some people that place the emphasis on changein the environment around them expecting everyone to become different in actions anddesires. The problem with this is that we do not control the will of all other people. It iswonderful if you are the head of the household you can certainly make some changesthat will effect the atmosphere of your home. This does not mean that everyone else willbe in agreement with you and join in whole heartedly. On the other hand there arethose who do not place any change on their lifestyle and simply expect the Holy Ghost todo all the changing in the walk. Expecting him to somehow just start agreeing witheverything they pray and desire. Bringing His power into the circumstances. This bringsus to the question of what is the walk in the Spirit expected of me by God? It would benice if there was answers that were exactly the same for all but everyone's life isdifferent and requires certain changes for the alignment of unity and agreement. If prayer is inconsistent then our walk will reflect the same.It is the time in his presence that absorbs the empowerment of His Spirit for the walk ofagreement. This takes it from a law or statute to being our nature as stated in Ezk. 36. 2. The walk will require faith. God is a faith God and his ways require faith toachieve success. This statement many times brings a fear to people rather thanexcitement and anticipation. Many people see faith as a difficult task that they will haveto perform. Remember Gods yoke is easy not difficult. I do not know why the word faithbrings the thought of doing something uncomfortable and risky. This is not a trueperception of faith. Faith is simply acting in the performance or lifestyle that you know astruth. You see the problem that arises is the unfamiliar truth of Gods Spirit not the riskof actions. This is where we need to know the truth about the walk God has given us orthat we have imagined the walk to be. So walking in faith is simply walking in what wehave come to know as truth. Be willing to grow in truth. Accept the fact that there is agreater truth to become acquainted with and then persuade yourself in that truththrough study of Gods will and promise concerning it.3. We must be willing to participate. It is important to know what is required ifyou are going to participate in a greater walk of the Spirit. This is why we imagine, wepray, and we confirm the imagination with Gods word of truth. We can not participateunless we are willing to take the steps that renew our mind and empower our faith.Walking implies movement and action not a simple thought of [I wish it would belike this or that.] You may be saying at this point that the effort sounds too demandingwith the busy schedule you are already committed to. NOT TRUE! Simply rearrange afew things in life for time with God. If God has no place in your life because you are toobusy then you are participating with things that are unnecessary.
