F un 75th Anniversary Grand Celebrations And the Winners Are…Work Memory Lane Contest Joined Grindwell in Dec 1979 as a Stenographer in Project Department. At the time of my joining I was just SSC (old i.e. 11th standard) passed in 1975; Stenography Trade completed thru ITI in 1977 and with odd 3 years’ experience. It was a time when our factory used to have Friday as weekly off and Sunday working day due to Power shut down on Friday by MSEB.Dipak Thakur, Mora During those days, every Sunday Mr. Anand Mahajan and Mr. JAJ Pereira used to come to factory. Mr. JAJP used to take complete round to all offices. That time I was working in Project Department. One day he asked me, Thakur what are you doing. I said Sir, doing my work. Then he said no; not that. What are youdoing means what further education you are taking. I said nothing. No! I want you to complete your Graduation. You find out the way how you can complete it. I got encouraged and started searching for way. And I could completemy B.Com. Thru Distance Education Scheme from Pune University in 1988.I met Mr. JAJP and gave him good news. Again he told me don’t seat idol, do something LIKE Management course etc. That time I was transferred to Purchase Department since 1985. And once again I searched and did my GraduateDiploma in Materials Management in 1992 thru I.I.M.M. Delhi/ Bangalore.Because of these qualifications, with my experience; today I am in a position of Manager – Procurement and withGrindwell for >36 years (nearly 50% of GNO’s life).Yes……… this I could achieve just because of Mr. JAJP’s encouragement and Management support. I have high regardsfor Mr. JAJP and our Management. I still remember those days in Pune Branch. We were more than colleagues… more than friends and can call as FAMILY. We laugh together, celebrate together and motivate together. Month end was always fun for us! We were working late nights, try to exceed the plan and finally achieve and here celebration will start…Harshit Rathi, Delhi Branch For bachelors especially me, never need to worry for food… You just need to ensure that you will be in branch in Lunch Time. I can assure that you will eat more than anyone who brought the tiffin. To sum up, it was exciting to be the part of Pune branch & always cherishthose moments spent with Kaushal, Sudhir, Abhishek, Amit, Kedar, AnilSawant, Sudeshna and Milind!!!

Visit to all the 24 Saint-Gobain plants in India, Bhutan and also variouscountries and Saint-Gobain offices of the Group while heading the IA function in delegation was a very memorableexperience professionally (debates and discussion on Code of conduct examples, values, ethics, internal control bestpractices etc. professional commitment of colleagues kept me to move along GNO) as well as personally, shifting todifferent parts of India with family. Supporting and encouraging management and dedicated team members inprofessional as well as personal life across Mora, Nagpur, Himachal, HO and now in Bangalore gives me immensepleasure and happiness to be part of GNO during last 16 years.Lines That Rhyme – Poetry Writing Contest So Alive – GNO turns 75 Together we stand in bad and good Anchored solid in typhoons Young we came and Grew Within Never feel alone , some to back us Classic days of joy and cheer Being in GNO is all about it …4 Every single day we cherish Being in GNO is all about it ….1 Standing tall and hands spread Waiting for more to come and learn Never before and never to fall Alive at 75 , Strong and stout, Courage, strength and power Being in GNO is all about it … 5 Nothing can compensate the strongerAditya Shirole, Nagpur will Being in GNO is all about it ….2 Hand in hand and eye to eye Principals are base and respect for all This is the life that lead us all Being in GNO is all about it …3
