CREATIVVE CONSTRUCTIION STRUCTURAL DESIGN REPORT & Engineers & Contractors TECHNICAL ASSUMPTIONS Document no: DBRTA/CC/001 1.0. GENERAL: Revision: 00 Date: 07-10-2020 The design of Structures along the stretch is carried out on the basis of current design practice and as per the relevant IRC standards. The preliminary design was done based on various parameters and data such as design discharge of stream, observed HFL, scour level, sub-soil type, characteristic of streams/rivers, selection of site, etc. Width of carriageway, crash barrier is provided as per tender stipulations & MORST&H guidelines. 2.0. List of the structures: a. RCC Box Underpass – P1 :-12 M Canal Road b. RCC Culvert – P2 :-20 M DP Road c. Retaining wall – P1, P2 & P3 Roads (As required) d. BT/ Asphalt Road - P1 :-12 M Canal Road e. PQC Road – P3 :-20 M DP Road 3.0. HYDRAULIC AND HYDROLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS: Hydrology is one of the important aspects for design of bridge structures across streams. The main objective of the hydrology is to determine the anticipated floods and other parameters such as design discharge, flow velocity, HFL, scour depth, etc. The basic data required for hydraulic calculations are size shape and surface characteristic of catchment, HFL, type of river, bed conditions etc. Catchment areas are calculated from toposheets, HFL data are collected from government agencies, local inquires. Bed conditions were acknowledged by site visits and site photographs. From contour survey and alignment of the stretch suitable locations of the structures were decided in relevant with the tender.
