General Qamar Javed Bajwa attended the ground breaking ceremony of Pakistan’s first Signature Championship Golf Course “Rumanza” hosted by the Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Multan on November 22, 2018. This golf course designed by the golf legend Sir Nick Faldo will be complemented by a golf academy and facilities for practicing golf. It will also boast a pro shop and a prestigious club house. This 18-hole golf course will be managed and operated by Troon Golf, the world’s largest golf course management and operations company. It is expected to be completed in two years time, bringing Pakistan on the map of the world of golf by hosting international championship events. This event has been described as a milestone in Pakistan’s sports history. The vision for Rumanza is to make it the standard bearer of golfing activities in Pakistan as it will bring Pakistan on the golfing world’s map by hosting international events. This event has been described as a milestone in Pakistan’s sporting history. Marking the first venture into Pakistan‘s golfing spectrum by celebrated golfer Sir Nick Faldos’ Faldo Designs, it is set to be one of the most ambitious golfing projects. Training on Communication Skills Training on ‘’Communication Skills’’ was held on 12 November 2018 for 20 DHA Employees through a renowned organization, ‘’Conekt Cloud‘’. DHA Multan believes in team-building resulting into e cient and e ective customer service. Director HR Col Rafeeque Ahmed along with Assistant Director Abdul Karim praised the progressive vision of DHA Multan. They graced the session and distributed certificates among participants. 16

DHA Multan is a forward looking organization, which believes in healthy environment and healthy employees. DHA Multan firmly believes that the health of its employees is directly connected to their productivity at work. Col Rafeeque Ahmed (Director HR) graced the occasion and termed it as “a very positive activity with regards to DHA employees and their health”. 17

Sultan of Swing Wasim Akram’s Visit to DHA Multan 19 December 2018: DHA Multan's brand ambassador, Sultan of Swing, Wasim Akram visited DHA Multan. Our esteemed guest was welcomed by Project Director Brig Muhammad Nadeem Aslam, SI(M). He was briefed on how DHA Multan is expeditiously undertaking infrastructural development works and on the working, e cacy and functioning of various projects including DHA Villas, The Arena, Rumanza Signature Championship Golf Course and Sector development works. Wasim Akram said that inauguration of Pakistan's First Signature Championship Golf Course is a vanguard initiation. It is heartening that DHA Multan project is maintaining its momentum and moving ahead with leaps and bounds, making impressive inroads of strategic significance. 18

Our prestigious guest was welcomed by Project Director Brig Muhammad Nadeem Aslam, SI(M). They conferred on matters of professional and general interest pertaining to DHA Multan. Project Director thanked Sohail Tanvir for his visit and they shared views on cricket particularly cricketing talent in Multan. 19

DHA Multan Conducted Discussion Session with Dealers 19 December 2018: DHA Multan conducted a Discussion Session with our Registered Dealers at Arena. DHA Multan always endeavours to maintain high standards coupled with spacious and qualitative enhancements essential to upraise stature. Additional Director Marketing – Adil Qayyum rejuvenated the need for One Team with One Goal and shared updates of ongoing projects with our prestigious members and matters regarding DHA Villas, marketing updates, key changes in Govt. Taxation rules and transfer procedures that came under discussion to minimize inconvenience if any, during the execution process, to our esteemed members. Project Secretary Col ® Waheed Khan eulogized their dedicated services and shared that such discussions are intellectually stimulating. He said that it is reassuring that DHA Multan is successfully undertaking the challenges of present times by continuously setting benchmark standards. 20

Ltd. organized Toyota Experiential Drive for Luxury o -road vehicles through Toyota Motors Multan at DHA Multan. Toyota Indus Motor Co. Ltd. showcased Revo, Fortuner and Land Cruiser at the event. Talha Aftaab (General Manager, Toyota Motors, Multan) emphasized that such activities can promote Pakistan-made/assembled vehicles rather than focusing on imports. Customers were briefed about the safety features of these vehicles. 21

PakWheel Pvt. Ltd. Auto Show Multan PakWheels (Pvt.) Ltd. organized an Auto Show & concert at DHA Multan site (Jinnah Gate Entrance) on 9 February 2019 for the general public. 4x4 Jeeps, sports, vintage, classic, luxury, exotic and designer vehicles were displayed. PakWheels Auto Shows are the evolved iteration of the PakWheels meets, the members arrange on their own throughout Pakistan. The roots lie in the same principle of people interacting with each other because of the common love and admiration for anything related to cars. The PakWheels Auto Show brings a unique opportunity for people to chat about cars and bikes and enjoy a fun-filled day. 22

DHA Multan believes in a greener and cleaner living style. Multiple activities have been carried out taking this tremendous initiative forward. Horticulture Department has planned to plant more than ten thousand trees per sector totalling it to around two hundred and fifty thousand trees in DHA Multan. DHA Nursery has been established with a capacity of 1.8 Million saplings on 50 acres in partnership with Desert Group UAE to materialize the vision of Green DHA Multan. As per the symbolic representation of Multan, 5 acres within Mother Nursery has been allocated for Mango propagation facility. 24

92-61-111-111-189 I www.dhamultan.org A Clean and Green Living International Seminar on “Sustainable Urban Development - A Clean and Green Living’’ was organized in collaboration with Bahauddin Zakaria University, Multan on 25 February 2019. 12 National & International speakers shared their knowledge about the concept, issues and solutions of modern-day urban planning and eco-friendly cities. Project Director Brig Muhammad Nadeem Aslam, SI(M) addressed the occasion and emphasized that in line with the aesthetic vision, various initiatives are also being taken by DHA Multan for Clean and Green living such as eco-friendly designs and structure, development of the Mother Nursery, plantation and landscaping of each road, street, park and sector. Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Akbar Anjum PVC from BZU graced the occasion and appreciated DHA Multan's initiative on Clean & Green living concept. Shield and certificates were distributed among civil society, industry, media personnel, students and other notables. 25

Call Center Training Training on ‘’Communication skills for Call Centre’’ was held between 19 and 22 March 2019 for 20 DHA employees through M/S Simulation Private Limited. Call Center Launch Customer Service is DHA Multan’s utmost priority. For the ease of customers, a call center was established on 15 April 2019. With a new state-of-the-art facility, customers can be provided required information in real time. DHA Multan ‘On Call Service’ covers support for a diversified portfolio of products for our customers. All support and sales services are a call away where our competent sta is available from 9:00AM - 5:00PM on working days. 26

Teaching areas for boys & girls, a library and permanent residence for sta & Imam are smartly incorporated on the lower ground floor as the building is tailored to the weather of Multan. A white marble exterior gives it a minimalistic look while an impressive white minaret rises 120 feet high in the sky. The groundbreaking ceremony for Bilal Masjid took place on 26 June 2019 and the plaque unveiling was carried out by Commander 2 Corps (Multan), Lt Gen Muhammad Naeem Ashraf, HI(M) and Project Director Brig Muhammad Nadeem Aslam, SI(M). Speaking on the occasion, Lt Gen Muhammad Naeem Ashraf, HI(M) highlighted the importance of DHA Multan for the prosperity of the city. He stressed on the importance of establishing DHA Multan as an easily accessible housing society by ensuring swift connectivity to the main thoroughfares of Ring Road, Motorway as well as Multan Airport. Blafsrtom the Past Lt Gen Shafqaat Ahmed, HI(M) visited DHA Multan on 17 January 2012 and expressed delight to see the nucleus of DHA Multan shaping up well to its ultimate evolution. He praised the e cient team, who helped lay a very solid foundation for the future. A comprehensive strategy regarding the location of DHA Multan and acquisition of land were finalized. Multan was expanding in all directions, however keeping in view the physical and social infrastructure, better transport linkages and easier accessibility, an ideal location spread over 9,000 acres was selected. 30

92-61-111-111-189 I www.dhamultan.org Get to TeKanomw DHA Ms. Anum Ashiq, an advocate of peace, justice and excellence, has been a constant support for her family after the sad demise of her father in 2015. She also became the sole bread earner when her brother met a dire accident in 2016. Her determination to excel has made her the star of this edition’s “Get to Know DHA Team”. Ms. Anum was born on 29 November, in Multan and is the second eldest among six siblings. She received her early education from Dominican Primary School and Govt. Girls High School, and graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts. Her passion to grow and prosper helped her climb up the corporate ladder at DHA Multan, where she joined as a lady warden in 2015 and was later promoted to Assistant Customer Services Representative. She loves singing and reading novels. Ms. Anum is a an integral part of DHA Multan’s team. 31
