Srilaxmi took a session on ‘Personal Interview Skills’ She shared that when a student goes for a job interview, in addition to being asked job interview questions about his/ her internship, his/ her skills and qualifications for the job, his/ her educational background, and his/ her goals for the future, he or she will also be asked personal interview questions. Personal interview questions are questions about a student’s personally, work style, work ethic, how he/ she handles stress, what he/ she expects from an employer, and how he/ she will handle certain situations. There are no right or wrong answers, but do be sure a student’s response matches what he/ she knows about the job and the company. According to her, one of the Key factors in an Executives success in corporate ladder is Group Discussion. This one skill brings lot of latent strengths to the fore. There were mock group discussions done by the students who were split into groups and they were given topics to discuss after a demonstration through a video on group discussions.
