History of Malicious Software Malicious Software is software designed to attack your computer system and sometimes used to steal information. Basit Farooq Alvi and Amjad Farooq Alvi created the first software virus. they were running a computer store in Lahore, Pakistan in 1986 and noticed customers were circulating illegal copies of software they’d written. So they came up with Brain virus to teach their consumers a lesson. They created the virus only for the illegal copies of the software. They never thought the virus would grow into a global-sized monster, with powers beyond their capacities to control it.
