Around the Temple 3 When Dr. Lester Seigel hired me as a choir singer at Temple Emanu-El Liturgy 101 in 1989, I could not imagine the rich and fulfilling relationship that would with Cantor Wittner develop between me and this wonderful congregation. I sang for Shabbat services and High Holy Days under Lester’s outstanding direction, and Tuesdays, May 4, 11, & 25 started to gain some familiarity with Reform Jewish music and liturgy. at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom In September 1993, I began to serve as your Music Director, providing organ and piano accompaniment for worship, and leading the professional Register at ourtemple.org/ choir in High Holy Days and Shabbat services. Rabbi Jonathan Miller’s beginning Hebrew adult-education and ReJewvenation classes were a great help as I learned more about Judaism. It’s been a joy to play and conduct a rich variety of Reform Jewish music in collaboration with What does our liturgy mean?
