ABOUT US New Horizon International School is the latest venture under the aegis of New Horizon Educational Institutions (NHEI). At NHIS, we create a world of opportunities to mould our students into individuals who are Global Citizens with strong Indian roots & values. We offer the CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education) board and also a Hybrid CBSE board, unique to NHIS. OUR CURRICULUM Our curriculum is meticulously designed to inspire new ideas and ignite curiosity in our students. We provide two comprehensive boards of education -  CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education) - CAIE is the world's most popular and sought after international board. Giving students a wide range of subject options to chose from, CAIE's pedagogy is designed in a manner which facilitates flexibility and freedom. CAIE incorporates the best international education accompanied with experiential learning methodologies, igniting within our students, a passion for learning and unlocking the innate genius within them.  HYBRID CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) - A concept unique to NHIS, HYBRID CBSE is an optimal blend of CBSE with the best practices of an international board, ensuring learning of the highest order. Our HYBRID CBSE curriculum has been developed keeping in mind the needs of the 21st century. Kindergarten Our Kindergarten classrooms are designed to inspire awe and wonder. At NHIS, we strive to equate learning with a sense of magic. We have created an environment that allows our children to explore the world around them and become participants in the learning process through a genuine interest to know more. Our Kindergarten classes are a celebration of childhood and we ensure that every minute spent in class is filled with joy, growth & enlightment. Primary: Our primary classes provide a hands-on multidisciplinary and multi-sensory instructional approach that focuses on fostering the imagination and individuality of our students. Innovation and creativity is promoted by our excellent faculty through contemporary teaching techniques. Our curriculum beautifully combines classroom teaching with the practical teachings of real life. Our goal is knowledge building and bringing out the best in your child. Secondary:  CAIE  HYBRID CBSE  Junior Secondary  Senior Secondary The focus in Lower Secondary is on equipping our students with in-demand skill sets, a healthy view of self, and a hunger for excellence. Our students enjoy a stimulating curriculum that challenges them and encourages them to question and to keep questioning until they are satisfied with the answers. This not only develops their interest, but also gives rise to fearlessness. The Science Labs, the Recreational Centre, the Learning Studios , and our one of a kind Science Park have been designed with salient features that inspire innovation and boost creativity. In the VI grade, students are given an option to sit for the first Primary Assessment Cambridge Checkpoint. Cambridge Upper Secondary, popularly known as IGCSE, is the world's most popular qualification for 14-16 year olds. At NHIS, the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum is formulated to offer a broad and balanced pedagogy, across a wide range of subjects, using learner centric and enquiry based approach to learning. At the end of Cambridge Upper Secondary, students undertake the IGCSE qualificaton examination. The Hybrid CBSE Upper Secondary Curriculum is designed to guarantee a comprehensive learning experience for a student. A practice oriented teaching methodology is followed to ensure the overall growth and development of a child. At the end of the Hybrid CBSE Upper Secondary, the students undertake the CBSE examination. PROSPECTUS | page 08

Senior School (11th & 12th)  Cambridge A Levels  HYBRID CBSE The Cambridge A Level course develops a deep understanding of subjects as well as independent learning skills and constructive thinking skills - abilities which universities value highly. Furthermore, in a rapidly changing educational landscape, these lifelong skills give students an edge over their peers. The students must undertake the Cambrdge A Level examinations at the end of the 2 year course. The 11th and 12th grade curriculum of the Hybrid CBSE board revolves around making the student world ready. Special focus is laid on developing higher order thinking skills and equipping the students with a skill set that will help them face the challenges of the world head on. The CBSE curriculum also prepares the student for various National Competitive Exams such as JEE and NEET. At the end of 12th Grade, students must undertake AISSCE - an annual examination conducted by CBSE. PROSPECTUS | page 09

CO-CURRICULARS Co-curriculars play a vital role in the growth and development of a child. It is extremely important that education surpasses the four walls of a classroom to not only ensure mental and physical well being of a child but to also give an outlet for the creativity and passion the child possesses. At our school, a host of co-curricular activities are available for a child to choose from. Specialized instructors are present to provide instruction and training for every activity. TRANSPORT The safety of our students is the top most priority at NHIS. The buses pick up and drop our students directly form the basement through which they have direct access to their building rather than on the curbside which poses a significant risk.
