\"Language is the road map of a culture... PROJECT JOURNAL

MAY,2021 ABOUT OUR PROJECT ENJOYABLE English is learned by using and creating new things. The most LANGUAGE permanent knowledge is the one which is learnt through experience. With TEACHING (ELT) this idea, this project will help students to learn English via their own materials in four basic skills. For each skill, students will use different ABOUT OUR PROJECT collaborative and creative web 2.0 tools. Thus, they both will learn and practice English with the help of the technology.

According to the initial survey for students, %45 of the students have never participated in eTwinning projects before. %100 of them think that this Project will improve their 4 skills in English. All of them think that their teacher will guide them well throughout the Project. Half of the students have never used any web 2.0 tools. %75 of the students think that the projects title is compatible with its content. %95 of them thinks that this project will improve their vocabulary. %97.50 of the students think that they will take active role in the activities. All of them are very happy to be in this project because they think that they will meet new people from different countries and they will learn about different cultures. %97 of them think that this project will be important for their education and they will use various web 2.0 tools. According to the initial survey for teachers, 11 teacher have joined eTwinning projects before and 2 of the teachers have not joined any eTwinning projects before. Most of the teachers know various web 2.0 tools like Canva, vivavideo, storyjumper, simplebooklet, piccolloge, photogrid, surveymonkey, wordart, padlet, quizziz, Prezi, Edmodo , some tools of google, Canva, Prezi, Wordart, Renderforest,bighugelabs, Storyboard maker, Powtoon, EdPuzzle, Kahoot, Quizizz, Wordwall, LyricsTraining. According to teachers, the most challenging skills in foreign language teaching are speaking and listening. Many of the teachers want to take active role in this project.

Our studetns told a sentence related to World Disability Day and recorded a video. Then we combined all of them.

Our studetns told a sentence related to Intrnert Safety Day and recorded a video. Then we combined all of them with Thinglink web 2.0 tool. We had a meeting on the 9th of Fenruary. We made a wordcloud on mentimeter. The question was: \"What information we should not share on the internet?\" 62 students answered and they wrote mostly personal information, adress, phone number, name, password etc.

Then we played a multiple choice quiz game on PowerPoint about Internet and Phone Safety. Thus, our students were well informed about eSafety. We prepared an online game about Safer Internet Day on Wordwall and our students played it.

This Padlet was prepared for 9th of May eTwinning Day. Our students added their videos about eTwinning. \"\"eTwinning is....... . Thank you eTwinning.\" Then we combined them in a video.



Listening and speaking: these two skills are highly interrelated and work simultaneously in real life situations. So, the integration of the two aims at fostering effective oral communication. This integration will assure real-life and purposeful communication. In this part we did various listening and speaking activities.

We prepared a video quiz on Edpuzzle. Our students watched the video and answered the questions. They had great fun. Happy New Year! :)

We prepared an eBook full of our New Year wishes and add our voice on it. A poem is a piece of writing that uses imaginative words to share ideas, emotions or a story with the reader. A person who writes a poem is called a poet. Many poems have words or phrases that sound good together when they are read aloud. In this section our students read poems both in their mother tongue and in English. So, they can listen to poems from different cultures. Here is our Voiced Poem eBook in English and our mother tongues.





Here we formeda joint podcast series on Festivals in our countries. Each partner wrote a section and record it. The writings were added to zumpad.com Every week, there were online meetings and a competition about the podcasts of the week was done. It was prepared on Quizizz. We uploaded once a week a section of the all document. The students did the listenings every week as soon as they were published here.

Reading & Writing form a strong relationship with each other as skills. They are tools for achieving an effective written communication. Students need opportunities to develop their reading and writing skills. Developing students’ competencies in reading and writing requires exposing students to gradually challenging reading materials and writing tasks. The aim is making students read and write effectively. In this part we did various enjoyable reading and writing activities.

Canva is a graphic design platform, used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content. The app already includes templates for users to use. The platform is free to use but offers paid subscriptions like Canva Pro and Canva for Enterprise for additional functionality.(Wikipeadia.com) For New Year Activity, we are going to design a poster on wishes by using Canva ; teach our Students to use Canva while writing their own wishes.

The idea of a joint calendar on SDGs will be splendid. We organized our calendar on Photofunia web2 tool. Each school chose a month with one goal and write a slogan for the sustainable development goal in question. What are sutainable development goals(SDGs)? and for who? To learn more our students visited the official website of UN or you can just had a look on them in this video. https://sdgs.un.org/goals

Our students prepared Rebus puzzles with English words, so they have learned many new words and enjoyed.

Our students prepared and designed online games using different web 2.0 tools like Genially, Wordwall, LearningApps. We add them on Symbaloo web 2.0 tool together. Then all of their project partners played our games and learn new things and practive their lessons. They just clicked on the icons and played the games designed by their peers :)
