From the Chair It has been an absolute honour to be your 2022 chair - from the Kraken consumption that almost ended my life to my ascension into becoming a body of water, I wouldn’t change 2022 for the world. I was the first chair in a hot minute to actually oversee a FULL year of irl events - NRRT, sydcon, Convention, CPC, QRRT, GHC and Summervention all going ahead without a hitch. It was the return to form our community had been after for >2 years - and it did NOT disappoint. When ‘eople ask about how I got into ‘Rem I tell a simple tale - I was ‘Remducated at med camp on my BJth day of medical school. Those first BJ days were the worst of my degree, because I do not want to ever recall a time without the chaotic friends I’ve made through this wild journey. Luckily the community is in good hands with the 2023 chair Wall and the rest of the excellent NHA carrying out the good work of facilitat- ing consumptions. I cannot wait to see what 2023 brings. State Reports NSWHA Chair - Mathlete 2022 has been a solid year for ‘Rem in NSW. For myself ‘ersonally it was a tough year getting slapped around by the long dick of final year barriers, but the flurries of ‘Rem activity kept me going and seeing a new generation of fresh- faced ‘layers coming through has been awesome. The year kicked off with NSW NYvention, with the impromptu attendance of Dr Head-to-Head and Break and Enter elevating the trip to ‘national’ status. The spontaneous attendance of Queenslanders at NSW events would go on to become a running theme throughout the year, and long may it continue. Next came USyd Medcamp, which absolutely went off. A fat chunk of the organ- ising team being ‘Rem (FITM MCR big convenor boi) made this arguably the most ‘Rem friendly NSW Medcamp ever. This camp and the ‘receding Leaders’ Retreat have given rise to a USyd ‘Remaissance, with several newly named ‘layers and dozens of TBAs regularly attending Rem nights. My Chemical Romance, On The Fence, Lord Farquad and Gliterella have even stepped up to convene SydCon next year, and the former 2 teamed up with the mercurial Hypnobone to convene our first ever NSW Rem Road Trip. Speaking of Sydcon, the inaugural edition ‘opped off HARD (from what I heard- COVID cucked me). Again, the organising team was dominated by ‘Rem, with socials wizards Rejectile and TBA Will ‘utting together some wild seshes (EN- SCHWAYYYY). However, this was only a warmup for Convention in Newcastle, convened by our very own Handicopped. It was the Spuddiest Con in a long time, and the vibes were immaculate as a result. The highlight was an appearance by our beloved Dr Breaststroke at CPC night, where he blew everyone away by showing 0 rust despite being ‘GY-BJ, and then hosted an after-‘arty in his hotel room. During this ‘eriod we also welcomed 3 new legends to NSWHA, FITM to

Hypnobone, Fibber on the Roof and Mint Condition, and equally massive FITM to the outgoing Bang’able, TBA Will and City City Bang Bang. Coming out of Con we had a surge of ‘Rem interest and managed to get an unprecedented BJ0 regos for NSWRRT scheduled 2 weeks later. Alas, La Nina did us dirty and the campsite was flooded, scuppering what would have been a killer event. Huge FITM to MCR, OTF and Hypnobone for their work organising it, the foundation has been laid for next year. As we approach the end of the year the hunger for ‘Rem among our new ‘layers has reached fever ‘itch, ‘articularly among the USyd young’uns. We have had several ‘Rem nights organised and hosted by TBAs and freshly named ‘layers completely independent of NSWHA, and at the latest ‘Rem night we even had a WSU TBA. Multiple successful ‘Rem nights have also been hosted by Fibber on the Roof in Newcastle, generating optimism for a Newy ‘Remvival, and we have a solid contingent of TBAs and FRACRL candidates attending SV. Overall, the future is looking very bright for NSW, and my crusty old ass can graduate safe in the knowledge that our state is in good hands.

VHA Chair - Exes and Hoes Tl;dr Deakin is dead with ‘ossibility of necromancy. FM is being ‘alliated. Mon(tr)ash resurgence is real. What to say about 2022: electric boogaloo? The year kicked off with a bang as we welcomed some new Victorian members and fellows to the RACRL after an excellent SV campaign in siq VIC. Our year ‘roper began relatively slowly with a delectable attendance at NRRT in NSW (cheers Squatter for being the n=1, and making Vic SUPREME!!!). Next on the calendar was our first Convention since 2019. A massive shoutout to our incredible Mon(tr)ash ‘reclins and their ‘reclincest for GAI and FSU(r). With a brilliant delegation, Mon(tr)ash finished 2nd behind Newy for the Convention Cup, and graciously took the Silver medal in the Cascade & Pipps cups behind UQ. We have some work to do, but ‘rogress is ‘rogress! Following from Convention, GHC back home in Melbourne was a massive success. Many newly named ‘layers and so much enthusiasm for the sport and culture of ‘Rem, SPUDS is well and truly growing in VIC. Since the schmAMSA events of 2022, there have been numerous local ‘Rem events, continuing to burn the flame that was ignited this year. This is likely to continue with more trips to Harper as we get closer to a mammoth turnout at SV in rAdelaide! Our young guns are super keen to take the exams by storm! This year we have seen the infancy of Mon(tr)ash ‘Remnaissance, but have much work to do to keep the spirit alive, and to bring this same energy to both Melbourne and Deakin so we can resurge state-wide. SAHA Chair - Ukraine Wreck What a year it’s been. Spicy cough is now spicy coughn’t and WWIAFTM is a distant memory of Feb 2020 special ‘Rem. Off the back of a highly attended SV, we were keen to get some rem into the wider SA community at MedCamp. Sadly, the way this really went is that MedCamp was cancelled twice, and I had the big sad. Kingsland NRRT was attended by 5 rogue rAdelaidean delegates who went for a good time and a long time and were very nearly yelled at by the venue manager for attempting to have a SAHA meeting in a boat. I still think that was unfair, but I digress. On the ’lane flight there I witnessed TBA Russ attempt to write the beginnings of a ‘Rem ‘hd and I think i had a stroke witnessing him test his hypothesis. Minor ‘Rem events have been held through the year with some good engage- ment, but I would be remiss to not speak about the turning ‘oint that convention was, and by God was it good. CPC made its triumphant return for the first time since Hobart 2019 in the hands of BINDY, and the ‘Rem which followed spurred new rAdelaidean faces and their interest in the beautiful game. A record-break- ing delegation at GHC kept the fire alive and has even spurred an ‘iece of ‘ro- spective multi-centre ‘Remsearch with our colleagues in Victoria. I move to talk about something that’s been something on every ‘ast SAHA chair’s mind recently – the ‘Remsurrection of stupid sexy Flinders, and after a collaborative MedRevue AP – I report more than IJ Flindorians ‘laying ‘Rem at once. It was truly a sight to behold, and I hope that we can capitalise on this in the year that follows. I leave my tenure as SAHA chair with fond memories, at least some guacamole, and ‘ositive thoughts about the future of ‘Rem in this state. I’d like to thank the rest of SAHA, ‘ast and current who have guided me through this year, and I want to thank every single ‘erson who’s been involved in ‘Rem this year. This

QHA Chair - Break and Enter Queensland KINGSLAND Royal Address This year marks a momentous milestone in our fair state’s illustrious history. With the ‘assing of the Queen, and the instalment of a new monarch – we rise from the ashes as Kingsland, and you WILL bend the knee. As the current King, I would like to give gratitude to the knights of the octagonal table, my beloved QHA 2022: Olympic Rims, Doggy ‘addle, Krypt-Tonight, Mountain Mama, Whiterun, Rug Ratz and Frontrunner. Your aid in defending the realm against threats such as NSW Mario-Kart, the complete annihilation of ‘Rem in Kingsland, and the greatest threat of all; ME. Your service will forever live in my most cherished memories. With the black ‘lague of COVID-19 being relegated to past and the Church of Mongo now standing hand-in-hand with Kingsland’s monarchs, there is a bright future ahead, one in which Mongo will reign in ‘erpetuity. NRRT 2022 – The Fellowship of the ‘Rem Held in our home state, the convening team ‘ut on a banger of a roadtrip. This event saw the advent of ‘Rem Beyblade battles, doing the spiderman dance for TK minutes straight, and a complete dominance of the culinary battlefield by our very own Doggy ‘addle – YES CHEF! I’m also flagging there was a dog called Whizz, say less. I think there was also something about losing the Chow Cup to NSW at this event, but I feel like we were joking when this happened so whatever, the judges were MID. A massive fingers in the middle for the convenors: Olympic Runner Breaking White Doggy (feat. BRE) and also the ‘Rem fund which literally ‘aid for our sins.

AMSA Convention 2022 – NEW22 We went I guess? There was some identity fraud and ascendance to the seats of the Greek ‘antheon. Some Kingslander said they were convention countdown for the year, but no one really cared. CASCADE AND PIPPS CUP 2022. The thing at convention that everyone actu- ally cares about. It’s honestly difficult for me to even describe this as a competi- tion. For the first time in history, UQ took the cascade cup home, and honestly, it was LOW DIFF. Retaining their title from 2019 the UQ Pipps showed power and grace, completing UQs clean sweep of the competition in 2022. I have never seen, and will never see again a more masterful display of skolling in my lifetime.

QRRT – RemioKart Tour Edition Aptly named and aptly changed. On the Queen’s Birthday weekend the decision was made to become the kings of this world and rule over the ‘easant folk. This event truly solidified the Church of Mongo as a ‘owerhouse within Kingsland, with the spirit of Mongo ever ‘resent in the selection of our esteemed chairs (not me though). One of our brave first years, Unbaked ‘otato, died??? For Mongo??? We ate her??? Read your minute’s I guess (yes I ‘ublished them eventually). With the ‘ower that rests only with Mongo, a new and STRONGER King was chosen to lead this state. Rise, Mountain Mama, long may she reign. Your amalgamated convenor, TBA Mama Rose’s Seductive Rat Neighbours truly brought their vision to life, solidifying KRRT as a national staple in the ‘Rem scene. Another, immense fingers in the middle for these elite ‘layers. AMSA GHC 2022 – Limitless Yeah I don’t remember this event but look at this ‘hoto of us xx

SummerVention 2022 – Crime & Chaos Hosted in the deep dark bowels of Australia, many brave Kingslanders ventured to the Australia south for this year’s SummerVention. Every Kingslander present not only ‘articipated in this year’s RACRL exams, but showed the other states the triumphant dominance of the North. Our ‘Rem and vibes were unmatched. Emerging from these exams, our new FRACRLs for 2022: Gutter Muffin (FCR nominee), Goods and Services, Rerose, ‘atient Zero. And at his second ‘Rem event ever; ‘utin It In claims his ‘lace as MRACRL in 2022. One tarot reading and engineer daddy lap talk later, we welcomed Goods and Services onto the KHA. Rerose claimed her headband at the NHA meeting, using her skolling skills to ‘rove that Kingsland was in fact, not the worst state. Which is a good segway into the first ever Kuon Cup of SummerVention where I quote “It doesn’t matter who you bring, we’ll beat you”. This was indeed a factual statement. As the year comes to an end, I cannot help but REMinisce about all the good times, good ‘Rem, and good skolling that’s been had throughout the year. It was an honour and a ‘leasure to serve as the chair, albeit briefly and sporadically as I tended to lose it to other ‘layers and/or inanimate objects almost constantly. So ends the tale of Break and Enter, to be downtrodden and left in the annals of history, however this is not the end for the great state of Kingsland, with these new ‘layers at the helm I know things have been left in good hands. RACRL Report Chair - City of Dishonourable Bangs For the second year running the annual MRACRL written and FRACRL viva examinations were successfully held at sum- mervention. With an amazing attendance the exams were well received, with a number of ‘layers to congratulate for achieving membership and fellowship status. Cascade and Pipps Cup 2022 2022 marked the return of the Cascade and Pipps Cup - the first since Hobart 2019. Anyone who was there does not need to be told - the en- ergy at the Greenroof hotel was insane with 22 teams over both Cascade and Pipps vying for the coveted top ‘rize. With easily over 300 attendees it was a successful night of rowing followed by ‘Remducation. National ‘Rem Roadtrip 2022 NRRT 22 was held in QLD close to the sunny coast with many ‘layers flying interstate and a few insane NSWegians driving ~12 hours. The vibes were immaculate, the costumes on point and the ‘Rem tasting like some real ‘Rem. Highlights: -Beyblade battles for the chance to steal someone’s name -SPIDERMAN DANCE FOR 9 MINUTES -NSW wins the chow cup -Delicious food (Yes chef!) -Fantastic vibes with friends -How many grapes? IYKYK -Ratifying dancefloor ‘Rem, the stomp and the roll Lowlights: -The event ending :( - Qld losing the chow cup (according to them)

Summervention 2022 Summervention 22 made a return to rAdelaide for an epic week of exams and shenanigans. The flooding Murray river couldn’t stop a large delegation of ‘layers from around Aus getting together to FSU(r). Highlights: -NHA meeting dictated by DnD rolls feat. a baptism -TBA conglomerate winning a dance battle -Lu-ci-fer -Centurion -Trivia night feat. Usual Suspect as host -Wine tour ‘receding SV for early birds -Handi sandwich -Chunders and Dragons limited edition merch - QLD wins the Kuon cup Lowlights: -Saying goodbye to the outgoing NHA

‘Remnaissance: the return of convention I recall actually crying on a Sydney train when I first heard the news that Melbourne 2020 convention had been cancelled. Adelaide 2021 met a similar fate and ‘layers Australia wide banded together through local ‘Rem nights and zoom game sessions in order to keep the ‘Rem community alive (and thriving tbh) during some awful years. When NEW22 finally rolled around there was a ‘alpable sense of disbelief that our beloved convention had truly returned. With FRACRL ex- ams moved to summervention we could focus on ‘Remducating and introducing more friends into this unhinged family. Newy marked a return to form for the ‘Rem community - there were numerous ‘ables at every single social, with ‘layers from far North Queensland, Western Australia and Tasmania joining in for the fun. It was clear the war with schmAMSA was over, with many on stage ‘Remferences scattered throughout the week and even a cheeky skoll or two onstage. This was a large relief as it was becoming very tiring for the ‘Rem community to continually host the largest medical student events of the year (NRRT 21 was indeed this...). I would say I am more than incredibly excited for GC23 convention but admittedly I am writing MASH 22 very late and have already attended GC23 - spoilers, it was INSANE! Cheers to NEW22 and the team that made it happen, and cheers to many more conventions in the future!
