20 于是他起来往父亲那里去。他还在远处时， 他父亲 看见了他，就动了慈心，跑过去抱着他，连连与他 亲吻。 21 儿子说∶『爸爸，我得罪了天，也得罪了你 ，不配 再称为你的儿子。』 22 父亲却吩咐仆人说∶『快把那最好的袍子拿 来给他 穿，把戒指戴在他手上，把鞋穿在他脚上 23 把肥牛犊牵来宰了，我们要吃喝快乐， 24 因为我这儿子是死而复活、失而又得的。』 他们就 欢乐起来。 85

经文 Scriptures The Prodigal Son Luke 15:11-24 11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had 12 two sons. 13 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give 14 me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his 15 property between them. 16 “Not long after that, the younger son got to- 17 gether all he had, set off for a distant country 18 and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a se- 86 vere famine in that whole country, and he be- gan to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.

19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. 21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate. 87

27 那人说∶『我祖啊，那么求你差遣拉撒路到我家里去， 28 因为我有五个兄弟，他可以警告他们，免得他们也到 这受苦的地方来。』 29 亚伯拉罕说∶『他们有摩西和先知可以听从。』 30 他说∶『不然，我祖亚伯拉罕啊，如果有人从 死人中复活，到他们那里去，他们必定会悔改。』 31 亚伯拉罕说∶『如果他们不听从摩西和先知，就算 有一个从死人中复活的人，他们也不会接受劝告。』」 89

经文 Scriptures The Cry from Hell Luke 16:19-31 19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in pur- 20 ple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 21 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, 22 covered with sores 23 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s 24 table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. “The time came when the beggar died and the 25 angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 26 In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his 90 side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’

27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ 29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’ 30 “’No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ 31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’” 91

I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 93

The Resurrection of The Dead 1 Corinthians 15:12-22 12 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men. 20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resur- rection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 95

Serve The Lord More 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 50 I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed– 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” 55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 97
