INDUSTRIAL VISITS The students of II year CSE visited Regional Telecom Training Center (Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited Govt of India) at Maraimalai Nagar, Chennai on 23th July 2016.This enabled them to get a clear idea about following concept with practically Mobile communication, Optic Fiber Systems ,Electronic Telephone Exchange Systems ,Digital Transmission Systems -&Telecom Infrastructure and communication of Traditional & current system. Industrial Visit to Pyroferus Technologies As a part of application oriented leaning, we Department of Civil Engineering, Adhi College of Engineering and Technology have arranged an industrial visit for 2 nd year & 3 rd year students to a “Ready-Mix Concrete plant” in Kundrathur on 20/8/2016. Industrial Visit- Doordarshan Kendra Chennai  On 06-August-2016 EEE department has organized a one day industrial visit to Sakthi Transformers, Chennai. It took about one hour to reach the company as soon as we reached the company we were guided by Mr. T.K.Ramajayam, senior engineer. A team of 55 students with two faculty members have taken part of industrial visit .The Design and Mathematical analysis were practically absorbed from R&D department. On 10th September 2016 EEE department has organized a one day industrial visit to Technocrat Automation, Nungambakkam, Chennai.The students have visited the 10 major brands of advanced PLC's (Allen Bradley, ABB, Siemens, GE-Fanuc, Omron, Keyence, Mitsubishi, Messung, Schneider, Delta).  An industrial visit was arranged by Mechanical Department with the “TNSTC Bus Body Building Unit” (Service and Maintenance of Corporation Buses), located at Orikkai, near Kanchipuram. Two batches of final year students on 20.09.2016 & 21.09.2016 were taken to visit. As our students of Civil Engineering Department have gone to industrial visit to Chennai trade center in the heading of \"International Building Expo 2016\" on 10-07- 2016. Around 30 students from 2nd, 3rd & final year has gone for this industrial visit. In this visit the students have got many exposures in building materials like JK cements, Tiles, lifts, crane works, modular kitchen etc. Even the students have got idea about sewage treatment plant and industrial fabrication. WORKSHOPS/CONFERENCES/TRAINING Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has conducted a two-day (19.08.2016 & 20.08.2016) IEEE workshop and hands-on training program on “Basics of Electronics”. An interactive session between the students and the HR from top IT companies was held at the final session of the workshop. IEEE workshop participant certificate was issued to all the students who were enrolled in this workshop.  Six final year students of our department were permitted to undergo in plant training in “Applications of Embedded Systems In Mechanical Engineering” at One Yes Technologies in Chennai, recently. In plant training was held between 17.08.2016 and 19.08.2016. In Plant Training at One Yes Technologies ECE department was organized a one day workshop on Industrial Control Automation Techniques in the VLSI laboratory, ECE premises dated on 13 th August 2016, 9:30 A.M to 4:00 P.M. This workshop is mainly focussed on third year students of ECE. The workshop is organized by Dr K Sakthisudhan, HOD/ECE Convener of workshop, and Prof. S. Annle Angeline Preethi, coordinator of workshop; Mr. S. Kumaran, Mr.Keerthiselvan, Mr. V.Saravanakumar and Mr. Aijiz Moor, are industrial resource persons from i-Race Automation, Chennai. They have delivered their keynote address in the field of PLC and interfacing, SCADA, HMI, VFD and Relay logics. They had delivered the excellent presentation with instrument demonstration. One day workshop on Industrial Control Automation TechniquesAdhi College of Engineering & Technology has given its consent to National Conference on Computers, Communication & Networks (NCCCN-2016). Hence NCCCN-2016 Inaugural Ceremony was conducted by ECE department on 23rd September 2016 at 10 A.M at Conference Hall, ACET. Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Principal, Heads from various departments, faculty members, Students and external participations were present for the inaugural function. Dr M Malleswaran, HOD of ECE, Anna University College of Engineering, Kanchipuram, who was the chief guest inaugurated the function. National Conference on Computers, Communication &Networks(NCCCN-2016)

 The event started with the formal Inaugural function in Conference Hall at 9.30a.m on 09.09.2016. The Chief Guest Dr J. Revathy, Professor BSAU, Dr. P.Gajalakshmi, Professor BSAU, Dr. Devaraju, Principal ACET and D. S. Vijayan, HOD Civil were present on the dias. All technical and non technical events conducted in EC Block in various rooms. Students from different colleges like DCE, MEC, LACE, DACE and from different departments of ACET participated. We have total count of 159 students registered for different events. Valedictory function started at 3.00pm with Mr. Dilipan Bose, CEO, Cityrene Builders and Mr. Thomas Iyadurai, M.D, RTI RMC Plant, Chennai. Students from different colleges shared their experience about Engineer’s Day & concrete Day followed by Prize Distribution for winners. Engineers Day & Concrete Day Department of Civil Engineering conducted a Five days Survey Camp for 3rd year students of Civil Engineering successfully from 30 Aug 2016 to 03 Sep 2016. The camp was held at different places nearby Madhurandhagam Taluk, Kancheepuram District. The camp took place for a period of 5 days in Vaiyavoor, Karunkuzhi, Vedandhangal Villages and Madhurandhagam Lake. Students learnt to find the area (nearly 50 acres) of the given place by Triangulation, Trilateration, Longitudinal section and Cross section of a proposed roadway and Rectangulation. ACETECHNOZINE-Talk3D-Printed synthetic bone that induces natural regeneration A new 3D-printable synthetic ink has been developed that rapidly inducesbone regeneration and growth.The hyperelastic synthetic bone material, which canbe easily shaped, could turn out to be very useful for the treatment of bone defectsin children, the researchers said. Bone implantation surgery can be especially painful for children. In bothadults and children, bone grafts are often harvested from other parts of the body,leading to complications and pain. Metallic implants can serve as a temporary fix,but they are not a viable long-term solution for growing children. Adults have options for implants that children do not have. Children whoreceive implants must undergo future procedures as they grow, possibly leading toyears of difficulty. The 3D-printed biomaterial is a mixture of hydroxyapatite and abiocompatible, biodegradable polymer used in medical applications such assutures. It shows great promise in in vivo animal models owing to the uniqueproperties of the printed structure. Even though the material is mostlyhydroxyapatite, it is hyperelastic and porous at the nano, micro, and macro levels. Porosity is huge when it comes to tissue regeneration, because you wantcells and blood vessels to infiltrate the scaffold.
