Dr Lalmani Mishra, rich in versatility, did research on the history and development of Indian musical instruments, along with developing the technique of playing the veena secretly by listening to Ustad Abdul Aziz Khan of Patiala. To preserve these received swaras of Samaveda, he created ‘Raag Sameshwari’. For the first time in human history, it was possible to listen to the twenty-two Shrutis ordained by Bharata Muni on the Shruti-Veena, a musical instrument created by Dr. Mishra. He was Born on 11 August 1924 in Kanpur. Anju Jain (born 11 August 1974), is an Indian former cricketer and current cricket coach. She played as a wicket-keeper and right-handed batter. She appeared in eight Test matches and sixty five One Day Internationals for India between 1993 and 2005. She played domestic cricket for Delhi and Air India. She previously coached India and Bangladesh, and currently coaches on the Indian domestic cricket. She captained India at the 2000 World Cup, where the side reached the semi- finals before losing to New Zealand. Duvvuri Subbarao (born 11 August 1949), is an Indian economist, Central Banker, and retired IAS officer. He was appointed the 22nd Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and served under Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh from 5 September 2008, with an extension in 2011 till 4 September 2013. After stepping down from RBI, he was a Distinguished Visiting Fellow first at the National University of Singapore and later at the University of Pennsylvania. Subbarao is a 1972 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He was born on 11 August 1949 in Kovvuru, Andhra Pradesh, India.

NOTABLE EVENTS OF AUGUST 11 Death Anniversary Khudiram Bose (3 December 1889 – 11 August 1908), was a revolutionary who was hanged for the freedom of India at the age of 19. After the partition of Bengal in 1905, Khudiram Bose jumped into the country’s liberation movement. Khudiram Bose started his revolutionary life under the leadership of Satyen Bose. He became a member of the Revolutionary Party and was instrumental in distributing the Vande Mataram pamphlet. Bose was so passionate about freeing Mother India from the shackles of slavery that he left his studies only after the ninth standard and jumped into the war with a shroud on his head. On August 11, 1908, this brave revolutionary was hanged. He gave his life for the freedom of the country. Khudiram Bose is considered the first martyr of the organized revolutionary movement for India’s independence. He is reverently remembered from house to house for his boldness and encouragement till death. He died on 11 August 1908. Paul Jackson Pollock (28 January 28 – 11 August 1956), was an American painter. Pollock was introduced to the use of liquid paint in 1936 at an experimental workshop in New York City by the Mexican muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros. Since he covered the entire canvas and used the force of his whole body to paint, often in a frenetic dancing style. He died on August 11, 1956 (aged 44) in Springs, New York, U.S. Sir Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul ( 17 August 1932 – 11 August 2018), was a Trinidadian-born British writer of works of fiction and non-fiction in English. He is known for his comic early novels set in Trinidad, his bleaker novels of alienation in the wider world, and his vigilant chronicles of life and travels. He published more than thirty books over fifty years. Naipaul's breakthrough novel A House for Mr Biswas was published in 1961. He won the Jerusalem Prize in 1983, and in 1989, he was awarded the Trinity Cross, Trinidad and Tobago's highest national honour. He died on 11 august 2018 in London, England.
