CHARLOTTE HIGH SCHOOL Cathy Corsaletti Principal Brian Nolan - Athletic Director As Athletic Director, I always find it satisfying when one of our programs jumps to a new level competitive and commitment wise.The boys’ soccer team, under the direction of head coach Greg Winkler and assistant coach Miguel Dotres have found the formula that is getting people talking about this program and wanting to be part of it. With record number of students trying out for the team this year and community members flocking to the games, it is safe to say that the Tarpon Boys Soccer Program is fast becoming a rising force in Southwest Florida. Remember, whether at a home or away contest, to always conduct yourself with sportsmanship and pride for our school, coaches and players as well as the opposing team. TARPON VARSITY BOYS SOCCER ROSTER SENIORS #1 Alexander Cash 6’3 160 GK Senior “Zander” led the team in saves and shutouts as a junior. Zander has looked very Impressive in the preseason and will be a brick wall for us in goal. Zander is key to the goals we have set as a team. #4 Donovan Hynes 5’9 165 D Senior Donovan came to us from Massachusetts and plays center-back. Donovan is playing for The Cyclones of Cape Coral and has shown maturity and the ability to lead in the back. We are counting on Donovan’s leadership to help mold this young defense. #6 Akeem Stephenson 6’0 140 M Senior Akeem comes to us by way of Jamaica. Akeem is an imposing figure on the wing. We are expecting Akeem to be a creative attacking player and be a force to reckon with For opposing defenses. #7 Tyler Amaral 5'10 170 Striker Senior Tyler, a highly recruited football kicker, enters the season as a 3- year letter winner, with 17 goals. He has been a dangerous attacking player since his freshman year. We expect Tyler will continue to “Light it Up” this season. MINDFULNESS JOY DEDICATION GRATITUDE

#8 Alex Dawson 5’9 145 F/MF Senior Alex plays for Charlotte Premier. Alex is the ultimate team player and seems to always be In a spot to make things happen. Alex looks strong and fit and ready to make a name for Himself. #9 Dylan Salomon 6’1 170 Striker Senior Captain Last year, Dylan’s first year with the Tarpons, he led the team with 12 goals. Dylan Is a competitor and will do whatever is needed for our team to be successful. Dylan Will be playing collegiately next fall but until then, has many goals to score this season. Dylan plays ECNL for Florida West. #10 Oliver Poincy 5’10 150 Mid Senior Oliver joins the team from his homeland of Haiti. He is strong, confident, and and Outstanding young man. You are going to love watching his passion for the game #12 Logan Sweet 5’9 150 Mid Senior Captain Logan has been one of our most consistent defenders the past 2 seasons. Logan will be Moving into the midfield this year and his incredible work ethic will be on display. Logan Is a strong leader, we are counting on that leadership as we continue to improve the Tarpon program. Logan plays for Charlotte Premier. #13 Noah Rodriguez 5’ 8 155 Mid Senior Captain Noah has primarily played a defensive role for us the past 2 seasons. We are looking at Noah to be our holding defensive midfield this season. Noah is a strong leader and excels academically as well. We are expecting Noah and Logan to help instil Our core values to this young squad. Noah plays for Florida West.

#18 Jackson Cellerini 6’1 150 DEF Senior Jackson is a first year Tarpon player. Jackson comes to Charlotte by way of Oregon. Jackson looks to be challenging for time in our back four. He has shown quiet confidence As he works himself into the Tarpon program. We expect great things from Jackson. JUNIORS #22 Berry Davis 5’10 150 Mid Junior Berry plays for Charlotte Premier. This is Berry’s first year in the Tarpon program and we are glad he is here. He is fast and has flair. Berry will be battling for time in the midfield And in all of the attacking positions. He is ready to ROCK! SOPHOMORES #2 Kisai Tordecillas 5’5 130 D Sophomore Kisai returns from a very impressive freshman season. He is a tenacious defender and We are expecting Kisai to make an impact as a left back or defensive midfielder. #3 Brady Hall 6'2 175 Mid Sophomore Brady comes to us from the gridiron, a star tight end and defensive back for the Tarpons. Brady has previously played with Charlotte Premier and looks to help us on defense. Brady has great game awareness and he knows how to compete. MINDFULNESS JOY DEDICATION GRATITUDE

#5 Carson Clancy 5’8 150 D Sophomore As a freshman Carson had 2 assists and started over half of our games. He has developed Nicely as a right-back. We are looking for Carson to get into the attack more this season, He has shown the ability to shoot from long range. Carson plays for Florida West. #14 Anthony Strahija 5’11 160 Mid Sophomore Anthony plays for Charlotte Premier and attends FSWC. Anthony is a very creative Midfielder and expected to be a key to the attack this season. We are excited to see what Anthony brings to the team this season. FRESHMAN #0 Lorenzo Candia 5’9 200 GK Freshman Lorenzo plays for Charlotte Premier and has been impressive in the preseason. We are looking for Lorenzo to be a strong backup and challenge for a starting role In the net. Lorenzo is the perfect man to push Zander to greatness. #11 Andy Mendia 5”4 130 Mid Freshman Andy is a very creative young midfielder. He played for Charlotte Premier. We are expecting Andy to play a variety of Roles for us and provide a spark. #15 Levi Wooten 5’ 6 130 M Freshman Just wait until you see this “little man” on the pitch. He is relentless and makes an impact Everytime he is on the field. Levi is very creative and has a great shot. He would rather Provide an assist than score himself. You will enjoy watching this young man. Levi plays For Florida West. JOY DEDICATION GRATITUDE

#16 Marcelo Gomez 5’9 135 Def Freshman Marcelo is a gifted young defender. He has a calm presence in the back not seen by most Freshman. We are excited to watch him mature. Marcelo plays for Florida West. #17 Deacon Powell 5’6 130 Str Freshman Watch out for this young man - he is a fireplug. As a youth, Deacon played for the Norwich Academy in England. He currently plays for ECNL at Florida West and is on The ODP Regional team. Deacon can flat out score! With Salomon and Deacon on top, You will see the opponents net impacted a lot this season. #19 Nathan Dorneval 5’10 150 Mid/For Freshman As we welcome in a very talented freshman class, Nathan is another Florida West player And hopes to make an impact in his first season. Nathan will be expected to play a Variety of roles as we find ways to utilize his talents. #20 Jared Bagan 5’11 170 Def Freshman Jared is one of the most composed defenders I have seen in some time. He is never rattled and very coachable. Jared will be playing any of the back four positions. Jared plays for Charlotte Premier, you will see a lot of Jared. #21 Kade Pena 5’11 155 Mid Freshman Kade is a very talented midfielder and is a reflection of this entire freshman class. Kade is Very coachable and humble. He will be challenging for playing time at all of our Attacking positions. Kade plays for Charlotte Premier and we are excited that he is a Tarpon. TARPON BOYS SOCCER COACHES COACH GREG WINKLER CAA, PREMIER DIPLOMA Coach Winkler enters his 4th season as the Tarpon head coach and 34th overall. He has a high school record of 464-223-64. Some highlights of his coaching career, Inducted into the Wisconsin Soccer Hall of Fame in 2017, National Coach of the Year in 2012, The Florida Coach of Significance Award in 2020. Coach Winkler holds the United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma. COACH MIGUEL DOTRES CIC, USSF D Coach Dotres enters his 3rd season as the Junior Varsity Coach, and Varsity assistant. Coach Dotres has helped bring a level of professionalism to the program. He is the VP or Recreation for the Charlotte County Soccer Federation. He has been recognized many time within the club for his coaching and leadership. TARPON BOYS GRAD ASSISTANTS GA COACH LOGAN ROUGHTON Logan graduated last year after a 3-year stint as a varsity player. Logan embraced our team Values and continues to demonstrate them as a member of the community. Logan is in our GA,Graduate Assistant program and will be helping with the JV. GA COACH DYLAN MARSH Dylan has been one of the most-decorated players as a Tarpon. Dylan was a 2x all-state player and a state all-star as a Tarpon. He will bring his experience and leadership as a GA coach. Dylan will also be assisting with the JV. He is a student at FGCU. MINDFULNESS JOY DEDICATION GRATITUDE
