DAY 1Destination: Johannesburg - Pretoria……………………………………………………………………………Welcome to beautiful South Africa!Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, youwill be welcomed by your German-speaking guide whowill take you on a Pretoria City Tour.This City tour gives the opportunity to see museumsand monuments depicting South Africa’s history.The fascinating Voortrekker Monument, a massivegranite structure, honours the early pioneers. ChurchSquare is surrounded by several historically andarchitecturally significant buildings such as thePalace of Justice and the Old Capitol Theatre.Equally impressive are the City Hall, the OperaHouse and the Union Buildings, the official seat ofthe South African Government and the offices of ourPresident.

DAY 2Destination: Pretoria- Johannesburg – Cape Town……………………………………………………………………………After breakfast you will drive to Johannesburg whereyou can play a round of golf on the Pecanwood GolfCourse.The picturesque Magaliesberg and the HartbeespoortDam create a unique setting for the PecanwoodEstate Club. The Jack Nicklaus designed course, isconsidered to be one of the best golf courses of SouthAfrica and stands out with an exquisite golf ambience.Afterwards you will be transferred to JohannesburgAirport, where you say goodbye to your guide andcheck-in for the flight to Cape Town (Flight is notincluded).Upon arrival in Cape Town your driver will welcomeyou and drives you to your accommodation.Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Town iscontained in a bowl created by Table Mountain,Devil’s Peak, Lion’s Head, Signal Hill and Table Bay.It is therefore no wonder that it is considered to beone of the most beautiful cities in the world.In 1652 Cape Town was founded by the Dutch EastIndia Company as a refreshment station for itsships on the way to the riches of the east. The Castleand the Company Gardens go back to these humblebeginnings. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront isconsidered as one of the main attractions. Here youwill find numerous bars, restaurants, boutiques andshops, cinemas and the aquarium.

DAY 3Destination: Cape Town……………………………………………………………………………Today’s tour leads through an ever changinglandscape of majestic mountains, vast oceans,rugged cliffs and indigenous ‘vynbos’ vegetation.The route follows the Atlantic Seaboard to the fishingharbour of Hout Bay where you can stop to take aboat trip to Duiker Island, home to a colony ofCape Fur Seals.The panorama route over scenic Chapman’s PeakDrive leads through the rural villages of Noordhoek,Oceanview, Kommetjie and Scarborough to theentrance of the Cape of Good Hope NatureReserve.Here, the landscape is rugged and it is no wonderthat the Portuguese sea farers called the cape “CapoTormentoso”, meaning the Cape of Storms. Visitthe Cape of Good Hope, the most south-western tipof the African Continent.The Old Lighthouse at Cape Point offers aspectacular viewing platform over False Bay.The stop is Boulder’s Beach, where the AfricanPenguin has settled a couple of years ago.On your way back, you will pass the maritime cities ofSimonstown, Fishhoek and MuizenbergFinally you will visit the Kirstenbosch NationalBotanical Garden. With more than 6000 differentindigenous plant species, the garden is representativeof South Africa’s vegetation.

DAY 4Destination: Cape Town……………………………………………………………………………Just after breakfast you will leave Cape Town andplay a round of golf on the Pearl Valley GolfCourse.The course is surrounded by mountains and borderedby vineyards. It is one of the most exclusive anddifficult to play courses in the Cape. Designed by JackNicklaus, it fits perfectly the environment. The fairlyflat and largely uninterrupted terrain is challengingplayers with water obstacles and 81 low, shallowbunkers.Next, you will do a vineyard tour. The CapeWinelands consists of several wine growing regionsproducing a large variety of wines, using variousmethods of viticulture where. On your way toFranschhoek, you will pass the Groot DrakensteinPrison. It is from here that Nelson Mandela walkedinto freedom in 1990.Franschhoek Village, where some of the finest SouthAfrican restaurants are located, is surrounded bymountains and is reminiscent of a French villageOn the Hellshoogte Pass, we head to Stellenbosch,the capital of the winelands and the second oldesttown in South Africa. The town is one of themost beautiful and well maintained in the Cape.Many of the Cape Dutch houses are located in theDorp Street but also in the nearby streets of theoldtown. The Stellenbosch Village Museum, amuseum complex of historical houses furnished withperiod furniture, depicts the lifestyle of the earlySettlers dating back to the 16th century.

DAY 5Destination: Cape Town - Knysna……………………………………………………………………………After breakfast you will drive along the Garden Routeto Knysna.You leave the Mother City of South Africa and takethe Sir Lowry’s Pass to cross the Hottentots HollandMountains. Enjoy a magnificent view over the FalseBay to the Cape of Good Hope.Next village is Swellendam, one of the oldestEuropean administration centres going back to 1747.The road passes many canola fields. Canola andwheat are main produces of the Overberg area. Youwill do a wine tasting there.Tiny Albertinia is the home of a thriving Aloe Veraproduction. Various products of this natural remedycan be bought directly at one of the two factories.You will then follow an attractive route through thecountryside to Mossel Bay. This town’s history datesback to 1488 and to Bartholomew Dias. It was inthis area, the first European set foot in South Africa.Shortly after passing Wilderness you will follow theGarden Route along the Indian Ocean.Knysna is a small sea-side town on a protectedlagoon. The name is derived from the Khoi languageand probably means “straight down”, a reference tothe Knysna Heads. It’s most celebrated settler wasGeorge Rex, who arrived in 1804 and was rumouredto be an illegitimate son of King George III. Knysna iswell known for its oysters, its nature reserves andvarious activities offered to its visitors.

DAY 6Destination: Knysna……………………………………………………………………………Right after breakfast you will play golf on the SimolaGolf Course.Jack Nicklaus has designed an often challenging,however rewarding course amidst spectacularscenery. Set below high ridges, the fairways flow withthe natural contours of the terrain. The unusualconfiguration of five par 5`2 and five par 3`2 adds anew dimension to the game.Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure in Knysna. DAY 7Destination: Knysna……………………………………………………………………………Today you will play on the Fancourt Golf Course.This Gary Player designed championship course hasbeen rated number one in South Africa. Offering acombination of exquisite mountain views, forestedridges and riverbanks, a round on this magnificentcourse is a paradise found.Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure in Knysna.

DAY 8Destination: Knysna – George - Johannesburg……………………………………………………………………………After breakfast, travel back to George airport, whereyou say good-bye to your guide and check in for yourflight (not included) back home.Have a safe trip home and come again soon!
