DAY 1Destination: Johannesburg……………………………………………………………………………Welcome to beautiful South Africa!Arrival in Johannesburg Airport, meet & greet by yourlocal English speaking tour guide and drive to SunCity, where you can enjoy the rest of the day in orderto acclimatise yourself.Sun City Resort lies within a semi-arid savannah inthe North West Province and includes four hotelcomplexes, ranging from a family hotel to the luxuryfive star Palace of the Lost City. Sun City offers amyriad of different forms of entertainment andrelaxation. Water sports enthusiasts visitWaterworld or the Valley of Waves which includesa beach and wave machine, pools and waterfalls. Thecasino and theatre shows provide entertainmentwhilst golfers can choose between two excellentgolf courses. The Resort is in close proximity to thePilansberg National Park which provides guestswith Big Five Safaris in open 4x4 vehicles.

DAY 2Destination: Sun City……………………………………………………………………………After breakfast you will enjoy your first round of golfon the Gary Player Golf Course.Gary Player has designed this unique, world-classcourse set in most beautiful nature. It is the longestdistance course worldwide. Players are challenged byconstant changes in elevation, hidden bunkers, waterhazards and fast putting greens. All 18 holes are verydifficult to play; the 9th hole with its island green isdefinitely the most spectacular one.You can use the afternoon at your leisure oroptionally go on a game drive in the PilansbergNational Park / fly in a hot air balloon.

DAY 3Destination: Sun City - Dullstroom……………………………………………………………………………After breakfast the journey continues via Pretoria,Witbank and Belfast to Dullstroom for a stop-over.You leave Sun City and drive through vast savannahscenery to Rustenburg, a place with a rich past whereyou can admire relicts from the Stone Age as well asmiddle to late Iron Age.Due to two enormous platinum mines, the region hasgained wealth and is also home to the RoyalBafokeng Tribe, the richest tribe of the nation.On your way to Pretoria you pass the HartebeesportDam, a recreational area at the foothills of theMagaliesberg Mountains. The City Tour in Pretoriawill provide you a good overview of the town.This City tour gives the opportunity to see museumsand monuments depicting South Africa’s history.The fascinating Voortrekker Monument, a massivegranite structure, honours the early pioneers. ChurchSquare is surrounded by several historically andarchitecturally significant buildings such as thePalace of Justice and the Old Capitol Theatre.Equally impressive are the City Hall, the OperaHouse and the Union Buildings, the official seat ofthe South African Government and the offices of ourPresident.Depart Pretoria and enter the MpumalangaProvince. Fantastic sceneries, legends of varioustribes, a huge diversity of flora and thefascinating world of animals make Mpumalanga toone of the main destinations for travellers.

DAY 4Destination: Dullstroom – Kruger National Park……………………………………………………………………………After breakfast you will pass Nelspruit on your way toKruger National Park.The Kruger National Park encompasses an area ofalmost 2 million hectares and shares borders withMozambique and Zimbabwe. The ideal season toobserve the game is during South Africa’s wintermonths (May to September), as the climate ismoderate and the landscape dry and bleak. When thefirst rains fall in November the natural bush, faunaand flora flourish. During Summer most of theyoung animals are born. The Kruger National Parkis widely renowned for its astonishing variety inWildlife. Besides the “Big 5” (elephant, rhinoceros,lion, leopard and buffalo) visitors may also encountergiraffes, zebras, a variety of antelope, warthogsand multiple bird species.The Jock Safari Lodge was the first Lodge in theKruger National Park and lies in a privateconcession in the south of the ParkIn the afternoon you will go on your first game drivein an open 4x4 vehicle.Enjoy your dinner in the outside boma (openrestaurant under Africa’s night sky).

DAY 5Destination: Kruger National Park……………………………………………………………………………At the break of dawn, a gentle tap on the door willawaken you. You will drink a cup of coffee or tea andmeet your Ranger to discuss the day’s itinerary andyour expectations of the Safari.The Safari drive takes place in an open 4x4 vehiclewhich enables you to experience close encounters andunforgettable moments with various animals.During the outing, your Ranger informs you about theflora and fauna of the bush and the way of living ofthe various animals. Upon your return to the Lodge, asubstantial breakfast is served.After breakfast you will enjoy another round of golf onthe Leopard Creek Golf Course.Gary Player has designed a course with changingelevations, fast greens, excellent bunkering andendless water hazards. The downhill par 5 9th holecombines all elements of this wonderfully situatedchampionship course.At approximately 4 o’clock, afternoon tea and home-baked treats are served at the Lodge. You will thenembark on a late afternoon game drive. You will againbe guided by a pathfinder, who will show you theinhabitants of the bush and provides the ranger withimportant information.After the traditional sundowner, the trip continuesand headlights will be switched so you can alsoobserve nocturnal animals.On return to the camp dinner is already waiting foryou, either in the dining room or under the endlessSouth African night sky.

DAY 6Destination: Kruger National Park - Johannesburg – Cape Town……………………………………………………………………………After the last game drive and breakfast you will betransferred Johannesburg, where you say good-bye toyour guide and check in for your flight to Cape Town.(Flight is not included)Upon arrival in Cape Town your German speakingguide will welcome you and drive you to youraccommodation.Depending on your time of arrival, you may go on acity tour and optionally on Table Mountain(weather conditions)Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Town iscontained in a bowl created by Table Mountain,Devil’s Peak, Lion’s Head, Signal Hill and Table Bay.It is therefore no wonder that it is considered to beone of the most beautiful cities in the world.In 1652 Cape Town was founded by the Dutch EastIndia Company as a refreshment station for itsships on the way to the riches of the east. The Castleand the Company Gardens go back to these humblebeginnings. A visit of the city centre with its manyhistorical buildings and different architecture aswell as a trip with the cable car to the top of TableMountain are highly commended.The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is consideredone of the main attractions. Here you will findnumerous bars, restaurants, boutiques and shops,cinemas and the aquarium. Outside in theamphitheatre there is regular live entertainment. Allcombined with the continuous activity of a workingharbour.

DAY 7Destination: Cape Town……………………………………………………………………………Today you will play on the Steenberg Golf Course.At the back of Table Mountain lies this PeterMatkovich designed course. It features 4 distinctareas: Parklands, Wetlands, The Cape Flats andFynbos. Various water features, big bunkers, angledslopes on the fairways and narrow greens make thecourse a real challenge to play.You can enjoy at leisure or optionally go on a trip tothe Cape of Good HopeOn a drive through rugged landscape you finally reachCape of Good Hope, the most south-western tip of theAfrican Continent. It is it is no wonder that thePortuguese sea farers called the cape “CapoTormentoso”, meaning the Cape of StormsThe Old Lighthouse at Cape Point offers aspectacular viewing platform over False Bay. It takesapprox. 30 minutes to walk from the visitor’s car parkto the Lighthouse summit, or a few minutes on thefunicular railway.Continue on the panorama street Chapman’s PeakDrive to Cape Town.

DAY 8Destination: Cape Town……………………………………………………………………………Today you will play on the Arabella Golf Course.The course borders a natural lagoon and theKogelberg Nature Reserve. Peter Matkovich hasdesigned a course with spectacular viewsencompassing links, parkland and coastal aspects.The broad fairways on soft hills are a challenge and apleasure to play for expert and amateur golfers alike.Afterwards you will go on a vineyard trip.The Cape Winelands consists of several winegrowing regions producing a large variety of wines,using various methods of viticulture. The WineRoute allows visitors entrance into selected PrivateEstates to taste wines and visit cellars.The journey continues over Franschhoek Pass andinto the Franschhoek Valley, where in 1688 theFrench Huguenots were granted land to furtherdevelop the wine industry of the Cape. FranschhoekVillage, where some of the finest South Africanrestaurants are located, is surrounded by mountainsand is reminiscent of a French village.Continue to Paarl past the Groot DrakensteinPrison. It is from here that Nelson Mandela walkedinto freedom in 1990.The town of Paarl derives its name from huge graniteboulders that shimmer in the sunlight like pearls, aftera shower of rain. The main street is lined with shadyoak trees and historical buildings, some dating back tothe 18th century.

DAY 9Destination: Departure……………………………………………………………………………You can enjoy the last time of your trip until you willbe transferred to the airport.Have a safe trip home and come again soon!
